Xposed framework & Clock plus Daydream don't get along well - Xposed General

I've been running into Daydream problems in conjuction with Xposed Installer. Specifically with Clock plus DayDream by @martinpelant.
You can find all the information I was able to gather here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54258696&postcount=31
As I think this is more a problem of that app I posted the information there. However, when I uninstalled Xposed Framework (that is to say the patches to the system, not the Installer nor the applications that use Xposed) the problem was also gone. Before that step I also tried unselecting ALL Xposed modules and rebooting, deactivating them, uninstalling, etc, etc. As I said the app began working correctly after uninstalling Xposed Framework and problem arose again upon installing the Framework. I must also mention that this problem only happen when using Clock plus Daydream as I tested with other "daydream" apps and they work properly.
In the aforementioned post you will find catlogs, a video and some other information that might be useful.
PS: I repurposed this post as I first posted the problem here before realizing the culpruit was Clock plus

I've been trying to solve this for the last couple of days. I'm not certain that this is an Xposed bug/problem but seems to be the most likely and that's why I post this here.

This looks like a short wakelock to me. As Xposed doesn't use any wakelocks, it seems unlikely that it's the culprit. I obviously can't speak for all the modules, so you should try if it still occurs if you disable them. Or even easier: Just press the uninstall button in Xposed Installer and reboot. If it still occurs, you can be sure that it's neither Xposed nor any module.

I'm really sorry @rovo89. I was in the middle of this post when I was able to find the problem. Somehow it seems I pressed the Post button on the unfinished post. Really sorry about that. The problem was (is) on Clock Plus Daydream. I will repurpose the OP as Xposed might still be somewhat responsible.

Cannot install modules after download

Hi.
I am using xposed since quite a while and everything usually worked fine. Today I wanted to update some modules and realized that I could download the new version but when I want to install it, the install button does nothing, only cancel works. This is also true for new module installs. So basically, I can uninstall modules but not reinstall/update any. Pretty strange... The security settings seem correct to (allow from any source).
Any ideas?
some additional info:
framework app_process 58
framework XposedBridge.jar 54
sony xperia z1 compact
android 4.4.4, 14.4.A.0.108
I just found it out myself and it turns out that the issue was completely unrelated to xposed. I had screen adjuster active which is a tiny app that helps to increase the contrast on the x1 screen. This app creates some sort of overlay which was blocking a reaction to the install button but not the cancel button. Deactivating the app let me install everything....
Same here as well

Hi
My Nexus 7 2013 LTE also face the exact same problem.
I'm using a a moto g (xt1033) too. But seems like it does not have this issue.
I have not used any kind of display tweaks though. Wonder why thus happens. I am not able to update GravityBox because of this issue. Guess anyone wonder why this happens?
Thanks
Check if there is any other app creating an overlay. I seem to recall some anti virus apps doing that as well
I had the same issue. It took a little hunting but I must've clicked enabled Greenify system apps without noticing.

[Q] Magine TV

Hi,
i tried to find my 'problem', but all searches didnt show any result.
I am new to this forum.
My Hardware is a chinese Landvo 100, mediatek-chip 6572, Android 4.2.2
I just installed xposed framework 2.6.1 and the modules Blacklist, GravityBox and Swipeback.
All works perfect - thanks to the developers, great job
But: trying to start maginetv.apk i experience now a desaster... The app starts.. stops, starts again .. stops... then i have sound..
it goes back to the start screen etc..
I have to go to the apps menu to stop it...
Uninstalling xposed and rebooting helps - so this is not that a big problem, but still a little bit annoying.
If there is another workaround than unistalling xposed i would be happy to find that (my search showed nothing...)
Maybe someone found a solution?
regards

FC on miimoto app and Snapchat record issues

Ok so I got two problems and I know Snapchat doesn't record video It did in past builds and trying to install an old version didn't work.
I have tired messing around with a couple of old fixes floating around but its not working.
Another issue I have is with the new Miimoto app it just goes straight to a FC.
I have tried all cm13 roms and RR but I may try reverting back to LOLIPOP to see if it fixes these issues.
Does anyone have any fixes floating around.
Miitomo Fix
I don't know what your issue with snapchat may be, but I do know that miitomo will FC if it detects root. I bypassed this by installing xposed and then installing a specific module to hide root (I forget its name). Sadly, snapchat will not allow you too sign in with xposed installed (though it works fine if you signed in before installing). Surprisingly miitomo will still work if you uninstall xposed and its module, I suppose it does the root check only once before you log in for the first time. Good luck!
Edit: Here's the link to a reddit thread concerning the miitomo FC. You can find links to the fixes there: https://goo.gl/RoLMuU
i have that snapchat bug too. cant record videos. can take pictures tho

Pokemon Go Fake Location

Has anyone managed to get the fake location working with the ROM?
I have the Purenexus ROM and it's known xposed framework doesn't work well on it.
I have one of the module installed for mock location and it doesn't seem to be working with the application. For me to verify it not working, I would need to flash a new ROM on which the xpose work.
Can someone test it on the ROM on which the xposed framework is known to work without hiccups?
Go outside.

There have been statements about soft bans doing mock locations while playing Pokemon Go. I would use caution.
What are you talking about, why wouldn't Xposed work on Pure Nexus? I've been using it for months now on this ROM. Also you will be banned for this, seen it happen already

They are people saying it because Xprivacy doesn't work on it.
Ninatic has done a good job at minimizing and eliminating spoofers. They continually fixed issues in ingress, that im sure they carried over. There are still ways around it, however, it removes the concept of the game. As someone else noted get out and play.
I'm not a pokemon player, but dealt with spoofing in Ingress.

Is there any way to disable full screen keyboard in landscape?

Hi. I use a tablet permanently in landscape mode. But in many apps when keyboard pop up, it uses all the screen. In many cases you don't even see what you typing regardless the all screen view.. I really don't understand why they made it this way. I remember in past there was an xposed plugin to fix this. Can't be done something with magisk? I think it is just to much to install xposed only for this. Is there any way to use xposed only for this, without making the system slower?
Thanks,

It's so so annoying, I fully agree! Unfortuately I don't know other ways to do that, but you caught my attention with this Xposed module... Do you remember its name? If it's old, it probably won't work on newer Androids, but maybe worth a shot since I use Xposed

Actually I did a quick research and found out that this module is present in Play Store. And moreover, it's still working on Android 11! Thank you so much for the hint!
As for Xposed, these days we have much more device-friendly Xposed solution named LSPosed. It allows to hook only the apps that are necessary for a module to work. I really recommend it for you if you won't find any other solution. Also I use many other useful modules, if you are rooted and familiar with Xposed to some extent, it's a great field to explore

Thanks.. I already reading how to install xposed.. I'll read about LSPosed then...
I readed that an xposed plugin, Apps settings reborn, is still has a working version of full screen keyboard fix per app, and dpi changing per app. And jt works in android 11.. It looks good.

Oh, I have this module installed too and didnt know it has this feature! By the way, LSPosed doesnt have the official thread on XDA (the one existing is unofficial, created by a regular user to discuss about it), but they have official Telegram chat and channel, easy to find
Well i installed it, it looks promising. But for full screen keyboard fix, it doesn't looks like app settings reborn sstting is working.. Most other settings work, so it looks like, some do, some doesn't.. Perhaps i must find an xposed plugin especially for this if it still works..
I'll post if i have a solution.
Edit, it works after all. I set to not display keyboard in full screen, to the app i wanted + system ui + SwiftKey keyboard.. And reboot. Something of all this did the trick..
