In the props config file.
Thank you.
I dont know how (and if it can be done) from the props config file but you can "enable" landscape with some xposed mod. I personally use the xperia xposed . I believe that this is the best way cause you leave intact your files and you can disable it whenever you want.

For those who does not know what it is: CRT OFF ANIMATION VIDEO. it is not my video. Credits below.
For those who wants the CRT - OFF ANIMATION effect on their Xperia Z can give this a go. It worked on mine so hopefully it will work on yours. Very very simple steps. Did alot of testing with other methods, including the framework res crap, and didnt work well, and the build prop edit crap, didnt go well either. This method seems to work better.
First of all, tested on my device: Xperia Z, deodexed stock base running on 4.2.2. I do not know whether it will work for you or not. Test it out yourself.
Confirmed Working:
Xperia Z 4.2.2 Stock ROM odex and deodex

Do a full backup through recovery if you want, if you feel insecure.
Download XposedInstaller_2.1.4.apk and XposedTweakbox_1.4.0.apk, both by rovo89 (credits goes to him ), for extra add ons you can also try ClockColorMod_1.4.6.apk by FemBlack and hush66 for finding it
Copy and paste both files into your phone.
From your phone, navigate to settings > security > check the unknown sources.
Use root explorer or whatever and navigate to the two/three files you've downloaded and install them.
Run XposedInstaller and run "install/update", after its completed successfully, reboot your phone.
Run XposedInstaller again, click on modules in the tabs section, and check XposedTweakBox.
Run XposedTweakBox or ClockColorMod and click on CRT Effect and check CRT off effect, then reboot your phone.

I see it has been unanswered, so to make it short: Yes.
As for the longer answer, I've tried it with tonyp's CM10.2 and it works flawlessly. Deleted because I don't need it. All in all, it should work on any 4.0+ rom, including 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. And there's an experimental version for 2.3. Knock yourself out, just remember: always do a nandroid backup.

Explain what exactly happened and what ROM you're currently on. As for me, all I did was:
- Install Xposed
- Install framework
- Reboot
- Install GravityBox
- Enable GravityBox
- Reboot
- Change stuff.

I know, that's the thing about Xposed. It is meant to be used with AOSP/Stock Roms. Cyanogenmod has SOME features built in in its settings, but not all. There's the conflict. And all those modules and stuff is why I uninstalled Xposed from CM. I mean, I'm really better off with stock-looking android while having all functions working than changing stuff like that. If we had an AOSP rom based on android 4.2/4.1 I would gladly use Xposed. Other than that, I hope I helped, hit thanks if yes and use a condom I mean, always make a backup

True.
Or just install Xposed framework and you can add the item inside the menu using Gravitybox or Advanced Power Menu.

thanks so much , your advice seems exactly what i want
i`m not fear of installing and testing but Xposed framework and Advanced Power Menu both write warning about boot loop or soft-break after install
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2404042

and the Sony V is not on the Confirm Device list , so do you think it cost to install them ?
of cource i must decided at end but i want to know the % of risk for adding only one item to power menu ( take screenshot !)

I'm sure that Xposed works on V without any issue (in mods section there are people with V that use it).
Actually I don't know in specific if APM could give problem, but I can only say that on my T it works as a charm....
The good thing of Xposed framework is that it doesn't change and doesn't touch the system in any way, because it works on it: if something doesn't work properly and you get bootloop, you can just go into recovery and disinstall the framework using the zip generated automatically in your internal memory when you install Xposed for the first time.

I have yet to see a phone on which Xposed doesn't work or has bricked the device. If all you want is that feature, install Advanced Power Menu, no need to use GravityBox which does way more than what you want.

Totally agree.
APM is specific for power menu.
Gravitybox is a huge tool to change almost everything, I love it... but if you want only to change the power menu, APM is enough
It did blow my 4.3 when it just came out, but I am sure this is fixed and 4.3 fully adopted.
I admitt it is extremely convenient with Xposed, and having with Gravitybox is so attractive for being offered so much choices right on the plate. Albeit I think it slows the system. And a major issue for me, it does not work on odexed ROMs.
I pity the culture of installing real apk's has somewhat diminished through using these modules.

Interesting, do you know of any real standalone APKs that offer functions that could replace what's done with Xposed? I'm asking because, why use Xposed when there might be real APKs that do the trick, say hooking into calls made be SystemUI to change things on the fly...
just wana say thanks and Declaration that they work perfect on Sony V Rom 4.3 build .210 rooted
thanks for all :good:
I've seen a lot of requests about camera shutter sound.
Some carriers give the user the option to disable it others don't.
If your camera options don't include the "camera shutter sound" one you can simply unhide it if you have root.
Just edit system/csc/feature.xml (or /system/csc/others.xml if you don't have the feature.xml) and add this:
Code:
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
BEFORE the line containing
Code:
</FeatureSet>
save.
reboot.
open camera.
press settings button.
profit.
EDIT: this method works even on newer devices (like S8, Note 8 and so on).
In Multi-CSC roms you have to edit the file in /system/omc/[your 3 digit csc code]/cscfeature.xml to make it work.
(attention: in newer Android versions you might not be able to modify permanently the system partition so you HAVE TO modify the file in some other way, for example I'm using a custom-written magisk module to replace the cscfeature.xml with one which has all my customizations)
Hi Linux, I followed your instructions on my i9505 (I edited the others.xml since I can't find the features.xml) but no success.
Here the others.xml
<CscFeature_Web_bool_EnablePriorityUserBookmark>false</CscFeature_Web_bool_EnablePriorityUserBookmark>
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
</FeatureSet>
</SamsungMobileFeauture>
Any help?

Dude, did you check in the camera settings? After you edit the file and reboot in the camera options it must appear a new option that allows you to choose if you want the "click" sound or not.
Did you check for it in the camera settings? (maybe you have to scroll up or down if it's not among the first options).
Also, if you have xposed, it may overwrite the "others.xml" with another one (depending on the xposed modules installed)
Let me know
What a donkey... I didn't scroll down... Et voilà... It is just down there... It works flawlessly.
Thank you so much for your prompt reply!

if youre rooted its easy, rename the camera sound in system/media/audio/ui/shutter.ogg and shutter multiple.ogg.. rename it to .bak so if you want it again just rename the extension to .ogg
Doesn't seem to work here. I have the option in the camera menu but it doesn't let me toggle it (SM-900I)

I tried playing a game called Valkyrie Connect but it won't let me because I have Xposed. So how do I hide this "Xposed framework bridge"? I've tried SudoHide and No Device Check. None of them worked
SudoHide is only to hide root I think. You tried to hide root and disable Xposed in XposedInstaller app from DVDandroid? After playing game you can enable it again with the switch.
