[Q] Rom Manger not detecting ClockWork Recovery?

I installed Clockwork Recovery from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=743333&d=1318051346.
And then Installed CM 7.2.0 RC 3 Cooper. But then Rom Manger Can't detect that the recovery is installed,please help me. And also please link me to all of the kernels that are compatiblw with the above rom.

DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER. IT BRICKS YOUR PHONE.
And you can use the search function for getting the kernels.

Can't find one that says compatible with CM 7.2.0 RC3 Cooper.

The search function is down for now but you could try google.
I would suggest you to stop trying to get a working rom manager at all.
Rom manager increased the galaxy aces death toll by a huge amount in the XDA community.

Why wanna you use ROM Manager? You can do everything that you want with CWM without bricking your Ace l:

Ok I won't use rom manager. But please guys help me with the kernel thing.

The search engine is up, just search "CM7 kernel", easy as that.

Rom manager works perfectly for me in official cm7! Make sure you have cwm 5.
But don't use it in stock rom. It will brick your phone....like it did to mine!
Rom manager needs a compatible cwm kernel...

As I mentioned above I'm using the official CM 7. Still can't find a proper kernel. In antutu a Guy from china overclock his ace upto 1412 MHz how is that possible?

If you are using official CM,then don't use any other kernel,you will encounter bugs(Unless anything happened since the last time i checked)..

I only need a kernel for overclocking and one that has the latest version of smartass cpu governor.

Then you should be ready sacrifice a few things such as Wi-Fi,Bluetooth and a few other things.Read the official CM7.2 for more information.

Firekernel works very nicely with official cm7 and all things work...
And it also has smartassv2!

There are 2 or 3 kernels for CM7,just visit Dev section

Just use the **** search button...
And we have too this thread list with some KERNEL...

Hey everyone.. I was trying to make a .587 based stock kernel for pro but the opensource package from developer.sonymobile.com seems to be broken.. I couldn't get it working..

Ya.. Sure you can.. but remember you need to use the fastboot toolbox in flashtool..

now all we need now is to supercharge it.. bwahahahaha!..
EDIT - im lovin the custom kernel.. the rooting process seems to be virtually gone.. flashtool resolved the whole thing.. havent experienced any issues yet.. ill edit the post again in case any issues may arise.. thanks again bro..

Black Screen
I was near heart attack I have flashed this kernel to my beloved Xperia Pro and then I found myself with a black screen of death.
I'm on 4.0.4 and .431 kernel, of course I'm having the international version of the phone MK16i.
To solve the problem I used flashtool to re-flash the .431 and then my device could boot..
Can you tell me where I went wrong I'm on a stock rom btw.

If you are on the old boot loader...then avatar would be a good one
Or if you are on the new boot loader...flash the stable avatar first then the latest nightly after you leave to boot once with the stable....

Yes, but if you can, try to improve the performance in the Ram use, because, using aroud of 2 or 3 apps the rom is very slow. Good luck with your project. Sorry for my bad english.

Yes, but with some tweaks and improvements the rom maybe run smother than others 4.2.2

Hi I tried porting the rom from a chinese device from zte but the battery drains too quickly. In 2mins from 100 to 50 percent
EDIT : Anyone can try porting this

Try to flash space's badass kernel or MA6 kernel from mardon. Maybe it helps.

No need to. What games.do u want ? V2.0.0 Ccan handle games better than V191 even with lower gpu clock.

V2.0.0 will become even smoother after about 2 days of use. Anyway your choice. They are all good one.
Btw do not flash wrong blobs, enless u want.black screen.

I'm sorry, but I disagree. There are games that v2.0.0 that cannot handle while v1.9.1 can. I'm using your kernel since the very start for gaming purposes, so I were to ask, it's safe to assume that it is preferable to have an OC GPU version. 400mhz is really something compared to 267mhz. Peace.

I tries but ut cause some strange behavours and reboot. Maybe the fix does not.like my OC or something unknown. Right now 4.1.2 is rock stable so this is no urgent. Will continue to monitor this issue.

Just flashed forest kernel v2 extreme spen friendly. Device got stuck at boot (N7000 logo)
Came from CWM+sweet rom v11 , wiped cache+dalvik after kernel zip install.
Had to reflash philz CWM to be able to start the phone again

Need to flash blobs for r3p2 GPU as well. See dev thread for instruction!
