Not on 4.4, but you can do a lot of modifications on 4.3 to get it.

There is a xposed module that will let you create a new user. You can choose to give this user full rights or not I will post in a new quote the module

It is called Multi Users for phone. After installing the module and rebooting go to the settings and you will find the user option (works for me stock kk 4.4.4)

Multiple users - woohoo! :)

Just so other Xoom users know, I tested (and then bought) "SwitchMe" yesterday - for £1.25 UKP.
It works.
Install, and your current "image" is your base profile - you can add a new (blank) one or clone the existing one. I've now got profiles for my wife & myself, and they work.
FYI, my tablet is encrypted, it still works. The only downside is once you setup a new profile and switch to it, you have to fully reboot (enter decrypt pin), then wait a bit. Once that's done, fast switching works - and the tablet 'reboots' to the boot anim, and about 30 secs (or so) you are running as your chosen user.
This is what I wanted - my wife and I able to use our own FB accounts & GMail with the native apps, not web browser. We have the same screen lock pin so we can unlock the tablet if it's asleep, then hit "SwitchMe" from the notification area and change user. Each profile can be password protected too.
Go have a look, well worth it (if you're rooted).

Hello Ptruman,
Thanks for the info and the intro on this software, been considering it myself but haven't had the time to play around with it.
One thing I would like to ask is about the highlighted part of my quote:
Bookmarks on the browser are not individual?
Was this tested with Stock or 3rd party browser?
Any further info you can give me would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
Stock (although I've also installed Chrome on one profile)
Gallery (and anything else that uses common storage) is shared - not tested bookmarks though - but Google Accounts ARE separate, and if you store your bookmarks on Google (not locally) they should be separate, no?
Actually I'm talking crap. I installed a new profile and it didn't have my bookmarks - so you should be ok.
Thanks for the heads up!

I love that idea I'm totally going to do the same. I wonder if someone has figured a way to use fast switch with tasker for automatic switching. I've tried a few setups but no luck yet. Awesome app though even without tasker.

[App] SwitchMe - Share Your Device - MULTIPLE USER SPACES

Hi guys Im one of the developers of SwitchMe - an app that creates multiple user spaces. We have just released a new build which should fully support the T2s. Please have a look and let me know if everything is working as it should!
Thanks in advance, PR after the break:
.................................................................................................
SwitchMe - share your device!
SwitchMe is a unique application for root users that allows you to log in and out of multiple installations of Android just as you would on a desktop computer.
SwitchMe is a unique application for root users that allows you to log in and out of multiple user spaces just as you would on a desktop computer, with each profile having its own separate system settings, apps and data.
Some of the benefits of this technology:
Privacy
Securely share one device among many users, protect your accounts with passwords and log out automatically.
Kids
Create a profile for the kids, with only the apps and access you feel comfortable with.
Gaming
Overclock your profile for maximum performance in intensive games
Speed
Imagine a buttery smooth profile, with no kids games, messengers or bloatware to slow things down.
Testing
Create a sandbox profile to easily test applications and themes - no more nandroid nightmares!
Battery
Switch to a profile which only contains the essentials to save power through brute force.
Critical usage warning:
Incorrect use of this application can potentially harm your device. Before proceeding with use we strongly recommend that you perform a full nandroid backup through the device recovery.
READ THE HELP FILE CAREFULLY TO AVOID ISSUES
Without the Key, this application allows a maximum of 2 profiles and no security features.
Only the standard Android implementation of Apps2SD is currently supported. Use all others at your own risk.
Most devices should be compatible as long as they have enough free internal memory to create secondary profiles. The application will warn users if available memory is low.
These of course are only suggestions - there are plenty of other uses for the functionality SwitchMe offers.
Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.switchme
The free version allows the creation of two profiles and has no security features.
Screens:
Looks cool. I'd try it out but I hate crippled apps that need a key to work properly.
Good luck.

And yet there you are, trying it out.
Also, the free app already gives you everything. You just have to use you brain to make it work.
Attitude... it affects the best of us.
Anything to report?
oh, this is great, now you can share the tablet with family members

everytime i switch profile a android OS update is done, and after a few seconds im loged out again, after second logon it's OK
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5110 4.0.4 XXBLH4
Installed it on my GT2 3113 this morning and have been playing around with it. I do get the same android OS update thing as listed above when switching users. Also sometimes when the app opens it is a blank screen with no profiles or details listed. Running RomsWell V1.1 stock rooted/deodexed 4.0.4 rom

I love this app
I've noticed that if I don't use the switch screen options then the app works fine and doesn't give me the blank main page that I was experiencing previously.

Also, what folder are the additional users profile/apps installed to?

Im looking into it.
/DATA/.PROFILES is where everything is kept.
Guys there have been reports of the app being blank sometimes. Im trying to work out if this is something to do with superuser vs supersu. If youve experienced this, please let me know and be sure to tell me which of the two youre using...
I haven't been having that problem since I disabled the "switch screen functionality" in the settings. I do use the "fast switch" option and just open the app when I want to switch profiles. I am using SuperSU v0.96

You disabled the two main functions just because you sometimes couldn't see the statistics page? That seems a little extreme...

No, not just because it didn't show statistics, but I wouldn't be able to switch users unless I rebooted the device. When the problem would occur it also wouldn't bring up the switch user screen on the lock screen after waking up. If the icon notification was enabled it just opened up the statistic screen, not the user switch screen. I would get stuck in the current users profile until I rebooted and hoped the switch user screen would show after start up.
I like the functionality of the switch user screen but with it glitching like that on my device the only sure way to be able to switch profiles is to disable all that and just go into the app/statistic screen and click switch at the bottom.
I just noticed that there is a widget for this app that allows switching profiles without opening the app.

I think your problem is with supersu (if thats what youre using). If possible, change it to superuser or at least make sure that youve set supersu up to always grant and whatever.
Supersu is very green and i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
I have used this app for awhile now and really love it as it allows both my girlfriend and I to separately use my nexus 7 without interfering with each others settings. However, I recently flashed a CM 10 nightly (which i really like) and the switcher no longer works, freezing during each switch attempt.
I know it says CM 10 is not supported at the current time on the app page, but are there an plans to include this support in the future? Any info is appreciated and thanks for your work.

need mods to restrict data using of ANDROID Os & google serivces

hey i am using data with af wall plus with root & xposed
but still below apps are using data & cant restrict them ?
android OS
GOOGLE SERVICES
can any one suggest me xposed another mod to restrict these apps from using data ???
Please see screenshot & help me guyz !!
I'm assuming you mean afwall+, and you've configured those apps not to be allowed to agrees the internet yet somehow they do?
I use afwall myself since the days of my old note 2 and never had issues, but look into the following solutions, maybe they'll help :
A vpn style firewall, there's one listed in the xda labs app
Enable afwall xposed add-on, reboot, go to its settings and tick the fix download manager leak option
In afwall settings, your can enable the vpn control, then restrict those apps to vpn access only, maybe it'll help.
Can't think of any other options atm, i hope this helps you.

Lightning wall
Check out this xposed firewall called LIGHTNING FIREWALL
valid alternative? not real alternative?
Did someone tried: PMP = protect my privacy ?
available from the playverse and selected stores near you.
Afwall+ with it's granularity is a powerful tool.
Xprivacy is a strong and brillant project with a community.
So back -for sure for me- to the opening question: PMP is good for the phone (and the "my" that's in the phone)? Is flexible enough to fully control all the little happy apps running around in the phone...?

For the data leakages the answer in post #2 by @ticktock666 is the way to go.
But for that to work in a proper mode: check that afwall+ has all the rights from the start (the veryvery start)...
Also afwall+ gives the users a pretty fine granularity when it comes to the rules.
..or did you noticed (captured? logged?) data leaks in other moments of your device work-day?
(es.: on wifi? on data? during the switch from one to the other? a single app? a sequence of apps? our beloved playframe-g-whatever?)

I don't see any screenshot.... What I use is Xprivacy Pro because it can restrict any Android permissions, and it lets you know what permissions were used, and when. It can be used to show application usage data, and parameters used by data. However pro version of Xprivacy is required for those features. I would really recommend it, but I know it's a lot to take in at first. If you don't know much about Androids, and how they work, then it's probably not for you. There are detailed instructions on how to use it properly.
You can find the the developer's detailed help page here - https://github.com/M66B/XPrivacy#xprivacy
The XDA community forum on Xprivacy is here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xprivacy-ultimate-android-privacy-app-t2320783
I hope that this helps you out. Good luck, and I hope you figure it out.
Best of luck to you....

There was a multi user app that used to work but development stopped at 4.4.2 . Closest I guess would be to somehow enable multi user mode but that's not possible unless you root the phone.

We actually have that option here on note 8. I think ill just use this if
I don't think so for multi user login method without root. Even with multiple Google accounts there is still one only login without root.
For little kids there are few separate launcher type apps (from both Samsung and third-party devs that you have to download) that you, as the parent, have to setup and switch to for your child. Those child safe launchers allow your device to be somewhat safe from the child. By allowing you to choose the apps for the child and a lock that prevents the child from getting out of the launcher and prevents them from messing up your device. Though at a point the child will learn ways out of the launcher and/or flaws of the launcher to allow them to mess with the device. That is why I say it is for little kids. And the launchers don't protect your device from what the child can do with the apps themselves. It also doesn't protect your device from the child throwing or physically damaging the device. Basically it is not a nanny. You still have to watch the child with the device.
Samsung version is Kids Mode in the Galaxy Apps store or Google Play Store. And there are third-party apps in the Google Play store like Kid's Shell, Kids Place, Kidoz, Kidsworld, etc.
Also for kids and adults (again people can finds ways around them) Personal Launcher by Pramati. You are still sharing apps and the data within the shared apps. Like switching launchers on your device, but still have access to the same data on the same shared apps.
Samsung Secure Folder is a little secure launcher that you access within your own account. So to access the Secure Folder you have to be logged into your normal login. That is not the same as what you are looking for,
As a single user you can use password to log into your device. Which is much safer than other logging methods.
I do remember that Google was working on multi user login for Android. I don't know what happened to that. As parents it would make it easier than the child safe launchers.
Again your device must be rooted for this app that would do what you want: SwitchMe Multiple Accounts by Fahrbot. Again root only.

[Help] Can I run AndroidTV apps on my phone using Magisk?

Hi all,
I am registered to a TV cable company in my country that has 2 different apps, one for mobile, and one for TV.
The 2 apps don't work the same - some channels can only be viewed on the android TV app.
I tried installing the apk for androidTV on my phone, but it doesn't work. (I can't even see the app after installation)
Is there any way I can use Magisk (or xposed) to fool my phone into thinking it is an androidTV?
Thanks in advance,
