Okay, so yesterday I came into an HTC One that was on Sprint. I have an AT&T micro sim so naturally I went to work to root, s-off, etc. so I could Simunlock it. I did it all and then started to install a custom rom. Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. got stuck in a bootloop, went to wipe cache and accidentally wiped the whole system and everything pretty much.
I think something is wrong with the partitions. Maybe some corrupted data along the line with all my..mess ups.
I should've researched more before I delve into this and I'm getting a lot of knowledge out of this but it's not enough.
It would be highly appreciated if someone could help me out. I've read countless threads, tried to redo the RUU or something. Nothing to avail and I can't sideload because my adb won't work in cmd for some reason.

dont post IMEI, MEID and SERIALNO
if you have used a toolkit from this forum, you probably have flashed an incompatible recovery and rom for a gsm variant (yours is cdma-sprint)
you'll have to flash a sprint (m7wls) recovery, format everything and then push and install a sprint rom

thanks for sharing this guide:good:, but this is for the M7_U and UL. OP can use the guide but must make sure to flash a M7WLS recovery, not that one linked in the guide.
+
he will need to wipe + format data from recovery. flashing the wrong recovery probably screwed is data partition.

I have TWRP 2.6.3.0 and as far as I know it's for M7wls. It won't let me mount cache or anything anymore. When I'm attempting to use adb the device won't show up on the list and I can't find it at all so I can't push roms over even with minimal adb and fastboot.
Is there something I'm missing?
I just miss having an OS so much.. lool

Code:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7wls.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then boot in twrp and check if you have adb connection:
Code:
adb devices
if not, re-install the drivers correctly (refer to the guide)
if ok then, push a WLS rom:
wipe everything + format data then:
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard/
and install the rom

I can't get ADB to work for the life of me. I tried uninstalling HTC Sync, reinstalled drivers, then tried to install drivers in device manager.
Don't i have to have an OTG USB for adb to even work in cmd..?

Did fastboot work and did you install twrp 2.6.3.0 successfully? If yes, did you boot into recovery before checking ADB Devices? If no, then try booting into recovery and follow the steps @alray laid out for you. And no, you don't need a OTG cable to use adb commands you just need the USB cable attached to your computer and phone.
If you are stuck with a wiped system partition, then there is no android there for ADB to talk to. From the Bootloader, you need to use fastboot commands to flash a new recovery first. Are you in the bootloader? Do you have fastboot connectivity in the bootloader? Flashing a proper recovery suited to m7wls should fix your partitions and get you on the way to a successful rom flash.

Yes I wiped the system partition somehow in all of this. I have TWRP 2.6.3.0, I've tried from the recovery main menu like it says. Nothing.
adb devices comes up with no list.
adb usb says it cannot find it.
and fastboot works with recovery images, but it won't load a zip.
sooo it's probably my drivers or..?
cause adb is the only thing I need working to fix all of this, I believe. -__-

My problem is my Htc one got bricked when i tried to install a stock rom zip through CWM, phone was getting stuck at boot logo and was unable to get into recovery, but going through fastboot mode i managed to install twrp recovery. Major problem is that computer cannot detect my phone and the somehow my OS got deleted, in order to get RUU i cannot find the main version as it shows blank. I also tried adb push a custom carbon rom and zip install through twrp but it shows error. I dont know what to do...!!! Kindly help anyone.

Wow, sounds like a headache! If I understand you, the problem may have started when you tried to install a .zip from HTC (a.k.a., RUU), instead of a custom ROM packaged as a .zip? (The formatting is very different, and I don't know what CWM/TWRP will do when given the wrong type.) Does this sound right? If so:
When the phone is booted into TWRP, can the computer detect it with "adb devices"? (You need to install the appropriate drivers, and install ADB, and run it properly so it doesn't just say "command not found".)
If I misunderstood your problem, have you tried using TWRP to back up your data, wipe data, wipe cache, and wipe dalvik cache, then reboot and wait 5 minutes for the phone to boot the first time?

Ya it happened something like that.
When the phone is booted into TWRP and by adb devices command I get the below
C:\fastboot>adb devices
List of devices attached
I have tried backingup by TWRP adn wiped data cache dalvik cache and reboot, but it gets rebooting into recovery
Computer doent detect the sdcard, TWRP shows no OS!
I tried ADB sideload to install custom rom but it shows error..

Seems like maybe you don't have the right drivers. Your phone isn't being detected. No ADB stuff (push or sideload) will work until you sort that out. (I don't use Windows, so I can't help much when it comes to driver info.)

1- edit your post and remove IMEI, you shouldn't share that information publicly!!
2- then:
get TWRP from:
2.6.3.3: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
or 2.6.3.4: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7ul
(make sure MD5 is correct, that site does not play nice with download managers)
2.7.0.4b: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708134
in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
enter recovery, now trwp, if adb devices doesn't show your phone, then go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52135024&postcount=2
and fix Windows Device Manager as mentioned in FAQ#2, then you can continue.
I have a big problem!
I do not know what really did! But did something very wrong!
I have access to bottloader, fastboot and TWRP v2.6.3.0.
The TWRP complains that there is no operating system and really no files to recover somewhere!
Could anyone help me?

Thank you for attention
First of all, it's not bricked, bricked is when it's nothing more than a paper weight, if you can get into recovery and bootloaader then it's far from a brick.
Do you know how to use adb and fastboot, if so..........
Download a Rom of your choice for your device
Place the Rom in the same folder as adb and fastboot on your computer
Put your phone into recovery, and plug into your computer
Open a command window on your computer in the adb folder and type:
Adb push (Rom name).zip /sdcard/
Wait........
Wait some more.......
Make a cup of tea.......
Take ages, wait until it's finished
Unplug your phone from your computer when it's finished
Now on your phone in recovery select instal, you should see the Rom you just pushed in the list, follow the instructions.
In future don't advanced wipe in twrp

When your in recovery can you see your phone in device manager on your computer ?
Also make sure to type adb in lower case letters, everything else has to be as it appears, your better off naming your Rom to just Rom.zip for ease.

I would try with a custom Rom, something like viper one etc, it's a bit tricky with a stock Rom especially as you are s-on, very hard to get the correct file.
Same again though, once downloaded, rename it to Rom.zip for ease.

I'm dowloading VIPERONE 6.2.0 and I will proceed the same process
Good Rom, I'm using it now.
I checked your output with the Rom your downloaded before, and although the carrier matches, defined by the 707, it a much earlier Rom to what you have on your phone now and an older radio, this maybe why you experienced problems flashing it.

What you need is the guru reset Rom to do that, look for yours 707, in the flashable ruu section, but his site is down at the moment, been down for a few days, www.guru1reset.com
Glad you got it working again though. Loads of themes for that Rom in the theme section.

Hi Guys,
Sorry to start another thread like this, but I've read and tried everything I can find on here and nothing seems to be working, in fact I seem to have made things worse.
Long story short I did the whole HTC dev unlock thing and all was fine, then I installed TWRP and pushed SuperSU, after this my phone would boot up and run for about 1 minute then reboot and go through the same routine (I let this go on for a few hours before I gave up)
Since I have tried installing different ROMs and changed the Recovery several times but I am in a position where I can boot into recovery but nothing else, unfortunately I don't even seem to be able to install any ROMs any more, I just pushed ARHD to the phone but as soon as I try to install it TWRP comes back with a failed message.
I'm sure this situation must be recoverable as I can still access recovery and fastboot but I seem to be going round in circles at the moment and getting nowhere so any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated, if there is any specific information that you need then just ask.

you'll most likely have to format data and push the file to the phone again. This will wipe the entire phone same as a RUU

Afaik ARHD must be installed using twrp 2.6.3.3 (higher versions of twrp are not compatible, or at least, they are not all compatible)
flash twrp 2.6.3.3
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then in twrp selsect "install", browse your phone storage to find your ARHD zip file, select it and then swipe to flash.
If this fail again, format data like cisa said above, but you'll have to push the rom to your phone storage again.

Installed TWRP from your link fine, tried to install ARHD which failed so from TWRP I did Wipe / Format Data and now everytime I try and push the rom back to the phone I get the message protocol failure after about 3 minutes or so.

What was the error code in twrp?
What is your adb version?
Do you have latest HTC drivers installed?
Are you using a usb 2.0 ports? Maybe try another usb port/cable.
Have you checked MD5 value of your rom/recovery files?

After you done wipe/format data. Did you reboot the phone to recovery?
You have to do this to write the new file system.
If it's still failing after reboot. Disable HTC sync or better still uninstall it if you don't use it.

You have the Sprint version of the HTC One. are you sure your using the Sprint version of the roms your flashing ? the GSM roms wont work and be careful cos if you keep flashing them they will kill your phone, the partition layouts are different.
Also make sure your using the recommended version of recovery for the flashes, on the GSM version its TWRP 2.6.3.3
Your HTC One is Sprint M7-wls, you should only be flashing Software for Sprint phones, The Roms you've tried are for International HTC One M7_ul.
Download TWRP from here and flash it with fastboot http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7wls To be certain you have a Sprint compatible recovery.
[
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name-of-recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Boot to TWRP, Select "Wipe" then "Format Data" You will be prompted to type Yes to continue. When its done Reboot Recovery.
Download a Sprint Rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one/development put the rom file in your fastboot folder and rename it rom.zip.
With the phone on the TWRP home screen connect usb and push the rom to the phone
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard
The command window will appear unresponsive until the push completes. When its done install the rom with TWRP.

Is that with all ROM's ? Just try a different one, maybe the one you tried is just a little unstable.

It's worth trying a different ROM, but if all else fails you should be able to return to stock using the RUU and Firmware from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795856
You will probably need to flash the firmware first to downgrade your hboot before the RUU will flash. I'm not 100% sure how that works for Sprint phones. It certainly won't do any harm so best to do it anyway. If the problem continues after the RUU then Unfortunatly it probably means you've damaged your flash memory some how. Does the device still have warranty?
thanks a lot friends!
I've installed the viper rom and it's works fine!
thanks again!
I'm trying to flash the new recovery to my HTC One but it just says waiting for device. I don't think my PC recognizes my phone. Its stuck in a bootloop also. On the bootloader it says fastboot usb though.

Windows 8 can be a bit finicky when it comes to fastboot. Is your device on hboot 1.44? Windows 8 is in no way compatible with hboot 1.44 if its anything higher you probably just need to play with the drivers.
What is the device listed as in Device Manger on the PC? It should be "My HTC"

They both appeared to have worked. I pushed the rom to my phone and installed it successfully, however when I went to reboot the phone it got to the beats audio htc start up screen, and appears to be frozen.
Any ideas there? I have a telus phone and I used the international Android Revolution HD rom from the newest version.

It seems to be stuck at that same screen again, is it supposed to take a long time (>15mins) to boot the first time? I don't want to boot into recovery if it needs to set up or something. The phone is almost at capacity memory wise.
hello guys, i got htc one m7, today, i rooted the phone and installed the twrp recovery, then rebooted to system and was working fine until i installed the modified rom "NuSenSeven", it successfully installed the rom but when i restarted the phone it stuck on boot animation and then rebooted and entered the recovery, i tried to wipe cache, data, factory reset, reboot, it still didn't worked, i installed the rom again with the different settings, and it still isn't working and unfortunately when i connect phone to computer, it cannot be detected. i have 2 laptops and it was working on both of them before it got stuck. Can anyone help me to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

I think your recovery is old. Find a newer version for your phone and flash it via recovery. You are on T-mobile, right?
Almost like something happens.
With HTC PN07200 (searching the model is a HTC ONE M7). I wanted to put a different rom.
The equipe was with the Bootloader "Locked", "S-Off" and "1111 user" (by what I read is superuser).
With the tools unlock "One_All-In-One_Kit_v3.1" or other downloadable for this model ...
Since fastboot command console and unlockcode .... I got to the "Unlocked" STEP 1 OK !!!
As recovery was already the "TWRP 2.5.0.0" try putting seven different ROMs without success.
Android_Revolution_HD-One_84.0.zip
Android_Revolution_HD-One_92.0_4a9d05.zip
Guru_Reset_M7_3.22.1540.1.zip
HTC_One_-_MaximusHD_53.0.0.zip
NuSenSeveN-LP-m7-gsm_v4.02_050715.zip
One_M7_7.15.401.1_stock_system_dump.zip
Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_3_04_651_2_RUU.zip
The installation within TWRP is done without problems, you do not give error messages. But when asked reboot was presented with all of the 3 problem I describe them ...
or catch, white screen with HTC logo with a small and short vibration, black screen 3 seconds and again the white screen with HTC logo with a small and short vibration (bootloop)
or white screen with HTC logo with a small and short vibration and screen goes black.
or log in directly and fast recovery.
I tried without success to achieve other recovery programs from loading them into recovery Fastboot (fastboot flash recovery /// xxx.img fastboot erase cache)
TWRP 2.5.0.0.img
TWRP 2.7.0.0.img
TWRP 2.8.7.0.img
OpenRecovery-TWRP-2.5.0.0-m7wls.img
OpenRecovery-TWRP-2.7.0.0-m7.img
This team does not have external SD card, so did everything from internal memory, and also tried to OTG cable pendrive, without success.

11111111 is SuperCID not SuperUser, these are 2 different things. SuperCID allows the phone to bypass the CID check when flashing a RUU that was not made for your phone. Pretty useless for the Sprint M7 imo since you can only flash Sprint RUU because others ruu are not compatible with Sprint HTC one but anyway its ok to have superCID, you can keep it like that.

You might to use adb and fastboot directly from a command window using the latest android sdk tools. These toolkits are not up-to-date and not ideal when having issues. The other major issue with this toolkit is that its for the GSM M7 not for the Sprint variant.
As recovery was already the "TWRP 2.5.0.0" try putting seven different ROMs without success.
Android_Revolution_HD-One_84.0.zip ---> Its a rom for GSM htc one M7 (M7_UL or M7_U). You have a sprint M7 (M7WLS)

You can only flash recoveries that are compatible with Sprint HTC One M7, in that above list, only that one ending with "m7wls.img" should work. To flash a recovery you have to use:
Code:

Better to post the output of "fastboot getvar all" so we can know everything about your phone, stop the confusion and direct you to a rom/recovery and instructions that will work with your phone. When posting the output of "fastboot getvar all", censor your IMEI, MEID and SERIALNO, you don't want to post these values on the forums. Other values will help determining what you can flash and how.

If you flash a rom, you must flash it using twrp and make sure your twrp is for M7WLS variant and that the rom is also for that variant. If flashing a RUU, you must flash it using fastboot. Yes the ruu are zip files, all the required .img files are packed inside of it, you just need to flash the entire zip file. You can only flash ruu for sprint so*the ones that match with the sprint CID MID and version number x.xx.651.x <----- important since your phone is s-off. Make sure you are flashing the right files because with s-off, you can brick your phone easily if flashing a file that is not for your variant. Better to ask if you are unsure.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip your_ruu_name.zip
fastboot flash zip your_ruu_name.zip
fastboot reboot
That ruu is a downgrade btw but it should flash fine since your phone is s-off.
Im not shure the ruu files. I think it will be better, if i flash a custom ROM whith twpr. I only need to find a ROM for sprint m7wls.
What ROM do you recomend?

you can find Sprint HTC One M7 rom there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one/development
Make sure your phone have all the requirements before flashing a rom. Some roms like the Lollipop ones, requires to be on the latest firmware to be used, so if its the case you won't be able to flash those one, you'll probably be limited to kitkat roms.

Well, my solution...
I Install in my PC the HTC One M7 driver MTP
By Fastboot, I install a TWPJ (twrp-2.8.7.0-m7.img)
Wipe ALL and format.
Install the last Cyanogenmod (CM11) custom ROM (https://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/90464/cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-m7spr.zip)
Install a Gapps for 4.4 (ARM-4.4-Pico) (OpenGapp)
Install the Argentina Radio (Link)
It Run OK!!!!!!!!
