Is this Exmor R the new sensor they developed??
Bravia Engine 2 sounds like a gimmick.
But sadly, no camera button. Or Ant+. The V looks the dogs, but getting the Acro s instead.
this thread should belong here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1641113
c`mon man...shall we make a new thread for every rumor about sony`s future phones? On the main thread,as the title says (Xperia S, P, U, Sola, Acro S General) we post threads about the phones mentioned in the title
Yes we should.. Until Xda gives us an Xperia V forums
LOL the phone haven't released yet, right?
Yep it havent .. but i still feel like discussing about it
I would buy it... I need a water resistant phone.
will buy it definitely.
When does this phone come out?
Looks like it'll be outdated by launch since no jellybean.
Also avi, xvid and mkv support.
Looks a much nicer package then the T.

That means receiving JB update immediately after being sold out. It was what Sony said with Xperia S and actually, we had awaited about 3 months.

First I've heard of it but sounds good. Will the new Sony apps/camera/bravia engine bits be portable to older devices?

I'm going to buy a new Xperia phone. I'm considering either Xperia T or Xperia TX. I read that the Xperia TX has better screen than the Xperia T but Xperia T has better camera than the Xperia TX. So how bad is the camera of Xperia TX compared to Xperia T? As from 'android authority' reviewing site Xperia TX's camera samples are quite noisy and washed out than the Xperia T. Help me please!

I would go for the xperia t, not only because I have one, but when you look at the forum, there is much more support for the xperia T, maybe helpful for in the future.

But I need it urgently. If you can ensure that Xperia TX's camera is on par with Xperia T's then I will buy Xperia TX.
The difference between T and TX is that TX has bigger screen (4,55" vs 4,6") and the battery is weaker and replaceable (1850mAh vs 1750mAh). Also TX has glowing Xperia logo below the screen and is slightly... better looking than T. And the support is better for T. I have T and I totally don't regret it.

No Xperia T & TX got same screen size,i read the white paper, the description wrong.
now i read the Xperia T white paper and wrote 4.6" inches, very strange, description wrote 4.55
Xperia TX White paper 4.55,description 4.6
I have Xperia TX, it has good look.
But one things should be mentioned, Xperia TX is sold regionally.
The android version updating will be slower than Xperia T.
If you don't worry about the late updating, I think Xperia TX will be a good choice.

Go for T, the only think what is not so good is that you can't replace the battery otherwise they're the same.
you know 30>29
I have bought Xperia T. I'm quite happy with everything this phone is doing except the display at high brightness level. There is color banding issue in this display.
Got T with xperiment 2.6 and evrything is perfect xsept those restart props after last update. But I would recommend the Z due quadcore and more ram, gone get it soon

Hello XDA,
I guess you know me from my CM11s Port ROM and I guess you also know that the system dump of z3 was out yesterday by the community. Let's get into the point shall we? So I'm thinking of creating a z3 ROM for kitkat and I want your suggestions and thoughts on what you might want in the ROM so that maybe I and even other devs can have a resource to look to and see what the community generally wants in a z3 ROM for the xperia sp. So let the discussion begin shall we?
Regards,
Furrydaus
Base it on MrSteve555s cm11 for LBL pls,I dont want to cry that another cool ROM is only for UBL,and has an old base.
I mean, the best choice would be to base the UBL variant on the latest official cm11 nightlies, and LBL on MrSteve555s Cm11 weekly releases.
EDIT
You can use RepeXpersiS if you need some files, that ROM is an excellent "port" of the Z2 4.4 for our SP.
Yes i think that mrsteve555 cm11 would be good because its locked bootloader and easy to install and use.. Other than that in my opinion if it is possible do something in the rom so that all of sony apps work in the rom for example get a sony app from play store and simply install..

I think that SAMSUNG gave sources which allowed them to port the s5 4.4.
Then what is system dump, is it a different thing?

Hm.Not sure how to put this right.
If someone gives you a star shaped piece, you cant fit it in a square hole.
Without the sources available for our devices,we cant link everything to a state where the ROM is usable,or even bootable. There are guides to port manufacturer ROMs,so feel free to try it yourself.
I only miss bravia engine and the illumination LED bar on the RepeXpersiS,but when i return to eXistenZ,there is the ugly, old JB lockscreen which destroys the perfect z3 look you get on the RepeXpersiS.

I am not into developing either.I wanted to try that guide myself, but one would ahve to download over 500 mb of thrash over a 500kb/s internet, just to see if his project that already has low probabilities will work out.I wil lrather wait for the ROMs.You do have z3 apps ported. So install them. There are z3 app ports for 4.3,and everything is amazing, but my spine jumps out when i use my phone and feel like i have the z3,and then see the old lockscreen that cant be replaced.Xperia Lockscreen isnt fully compatible with 4.3 either, will try to use expanded desktop on it...

I completely agree with @Marionette
I think everything on Existenz will be perfect as long as we could use new ported apps and features on it and it's not important if it's android 4.3 or 4.4
and the only big need now is a perfect systemui compatible with new z3 home and a z2 lockscreen port
So if anyone could use new sony ports on the latest xperia sp stock rom I think it would be better because that way we could also have dialer and contacts and themes and many many more that still arent ported on cm11
