Hi everyone, recently , i downgraded back to 4.1.2 and flashed a custom rom. But, the drm keys i backed up was on 4.3. When i restored it the phone hard bricked and i need to flash the ftf, root , unlock bl and restore my cwm recovery backup. Anyone has a downloadable ta partition backup for this phone? Or is it only for one phone? Please help i really want back my bravia engine.

It's only for one phone, if you flash other drm keys from another sp you will hard brick your phone.

So I installed CM10.2 on my phone. For that I had to root and unlock my bootloader. I didn't really like it to be honest so I decided that I wanted to go back to stock rom, the problem however, is that i'm not sure how I should do this. I made a backup of my TA Partition so I also could get my DRM keys (Bravia Engine, etc) back. I don't know what I should do first and I was wondering if there is someone who could help me through this process. Do I first need to flash stock kernel, then flash stock ftf, and then install that TA backup in order to relock my bootloader? But I thought I needed root for this, if I flash a stock ftf then root will be gone right? So many questions
Thank you in advance

Thank you for your response but this is only relocking etc. My problem is that I don't know in what order I should do things. So far I think I should do it like this (but i'm not sure, so i'm asking for someone to tell me if it's wrong) : 1. Simply flash a stock ftf (with the ftf the stock kernel will be installed too, right?) 2. Relock bootloader 3. Then apply the TA Backup to get the DRM Keys back.
Is this the right order to do things? Will I make an expensive brick out of it if I do it like that?
Flash a stock FTF and root it (or flash a pre-rooted stock based ROM through recovery ). Then restore TA, which will automatcally lock bootloader and restore DRM keys

Install STOCK rom and root it, then restore your TA. It is very important that you flash stock rom. Do not use custom rom or custom kernel. If you have 10.3.1.A.2.67 or 10.3.1.A.0.244(more easy to root) firmware, install it and root it. What tool did you use to make your TA backup?
To root 10.3.1.A.2.67/74 firmware read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386405

Yes, install stock rom and then root it and make sure you have root before you restore your TA. In the Backup-TA tool you have one option called, Restore dry-run... use that one to test your TA before you restore it, to make sure you don't get any errors
I know It sounds strange but when I relocked my Bootloader with my TA i lost bravia engline
although I did that before and BE2 was working on 4.3
Any Suggestions I tried Relocking and reflashing
tried Several TA'S I had made
no luck
And BE works in the movie app
when you unlock your bootloader your drm's gone for good!!
if you didn't backed up your TA then it's lost forever
Actually I have 3 TA's which don't work
Forever No BE2

EVERY phone's TA signature is unique. u are lucky not to hardbrick ur phone...
All 3 are made from my phone
One when I had 4.2
one after flashing 4.3 (It's After restoring 4.2)
One before Flashing 4.4
I know very well what would happen if i flash someone's TA into my mobile

did you get any errors when flashing?
if you have backed up using TA backuper you can flash back to 4.3 then restore your TA,
if you have backed up using flashtool, DRM are lost! you can't restore your DRMs

Backup TA
Fixed after restoring 4.3
Unlocking on 4.3
Flashing 4.4
Rooting with CWM kernel
Restore TA
System Restore
Wait for 2-3 H and it will work by itself

there is already a thread about that, but no matter
flash the original ftf (the one where you have backuped your TA!!), than relock the bootloader and at last, restore your TA BAckup now you are completely on stock and no one can figure it out, if your BL was unlocked or not

you can use .108 as well i think, what matters is that you are on 4.4.4 when you have backuped on 4.4.4 but btw, i can share .157 BAL with you, from baltic states, works well with non baltic states

I want to go back to stock ROM when lollipop comes out for the Z1, I'm currently on a custom ROM.
I don't have a TA backup, what does this mean? Can I not install stock ROMs? Will the camera not work?
Can I flash stock roms? what does not having a TA partition lose?
Thanks.

This is not restoring DRM key, just to restore the exclusive function that sony mean to be exclusive for drm key included devices.
U still dont have drm key, but the rom is hacked to provide the features.
