[Q] Update to 4.4.3 from root? - Sprint HTC One (M8)

Hey guys, is it possible to update to 4.4.3 from a stock rooted 4.4.2? I don't have s-off but i am htcdev rooted. Any help is much appreciated.

If you're on a stock rooted ROM with a custom recovery you simply have to install the stock recovery, which can be found in the first post of the link below. You must also not have any modifications to the /system partition, otherwise you won't be able to take the OTA. You should also consider gaining S-off at some point.

[Q] Stock OTA Query

I might be bringing up the same topic from the Grave. If yes, then please bare with me.
I currently on the Viper ROM with my HTC M7(European Version).
I want to go back to stock and I kind of figured out on how to do it.
I juts had few queries for you guys:
I need to S-OFF, lock the bootloader and run RUU for Stock as far as I understood. Is that right?
Now, if I am successful with the above step of getting my stock ROM on my M7, will I continue to get all the stock OTA updates from HTC like the 4.4.2 Kitkat update + sense 6? Or will i be required to do a manual update all the time?
Thanks in advance for your support.
Cheers

You will receive OTAs as normal after an ruu and can flash them as long as you stay with stock recovery and do not mess with anything in /system or stock apps in /data (just use titanium backup or similar to freeze the apps instead of removing them).
If you want, make a backup of stock recovery (or find a recovery.img to flash when OTA comes) and use a custom recovery to make a nandroid backup that way you can root and mess with /system and /data as wanted and restore the backup and flash the stock recovery when you update.

[Q] [OTA] [S-Off] Need advice on updating to 4.4.3 OTA

Good afternoon guys,
My phone is currently on Stock 4.4.2 with S-Off, TWRP, root and Xposed Framework..
I'm not sure if I have a custom hboot, since I only get the red letters warning when going into TWRP.
What I wanted to know is if there's any way to check if I have a custom hboot or stock and what's the processes on making it ready for the Update?
If I do have the Stock Hboot, I should only need to flash the stock recovery and it'll be fine? Or do I have to unroot it also?
If I have the custom Hboot, what should I do?
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search but couldn't find the exact same answer.
Thanks in advance, I just some orientation so I don't mess up anything.

[Q] HTC One M7 Unroot issues

Hey all,
I'm trying to unroot my Sprint HTC one. It's currently running software version 5.03.651.3 and android version 4.4.2. I was planning to flash a rom on it, but I ended up just putting a custom recovery. Now I want to unroot, so I relocked the bootloader, and flooded qbking77's video, however it wasn't able to go though. Any ideas on how to unroot this phone? Do I need to unlock the bootloader, and flash the stock recovery? or is there something i'm missing.
Thanks
You didn't say exactly what the issue was, but I wrote a guide a while back that walks through the steps to RUU. Feel free to follow it and follow up here or in that thread with issues.

[Q] AT&T HTC One (m7) on Offical Jellybean updating to KitKat

I currently have a AT&T HTC One (m7). I have my phone rooted and my recovery flashed with TeamWin. I'm still on Jellybean and haven't upgraded. I'm confused what direction I should take. I want to update to the official Kitkat image for AT&T and have my recovery flashed still with teamwin and rooted. I currently have S-ON.
Here's a few questions that I tried finding answers for in old thread post, though I'm just confusing myself more.
Should I take S-Off? Since I'm still on Jellybean and I hear it's easier... can I revert back to my phone looking stock if I do this?
If so how do I do it on Jellybean?
How would I revert back to stock, S-On, stock recovery, no root from Kitkat, S-off, rooted, flashed recovery?
Can I upgrade from Jellybean, with flashed recovery and root to Kitkat without losing all my data? How would I do this?
Thanks for any support you can provide with any of these questions. I've been trying to answering them though the more I read the more confused with a direction I should take. Thanks for your time read thru this, if you need me to explain anything further please let me know.
Yes Do SOFF now, if you can.
Then all you need is stock recovery and stock ATT JB system. IF you have modified the system/removed pre-installed apps, you may run into issues with OTA.
Best case scenario will be to SOFF and then move to US DEV, this will remove ATT bloat, while Keeping the sense. Ofcourse more work.

[Q] Question about updating

I have a s-off stock rooted M8 that is running the same version of kitkat that it had when I got it in 2014. I've been thinking about updating it to marshmallow but I have a few questions first. If I'm reading things correctly I can upgrade through the ruu off of HTCs website and I'll keep s-off but I'll lose root and the bootloader will be relocked.. Am I reading that right? If that'ss the case, since I'm s-off is there a way to reinstall twrp and flash supersu without using the unlocking tool on the dev website? And yes, I know I can flash a custom rom that's already rooted but I happen to like the htc stock software.
