Installation
- Make a (Nandroid) Backup of your current ROM
- Full WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + wipe dalvik cache)

CAMERA: I would expect to work fully on the Camera. I reckon the ROM is based on OMNI .. OMNI default camera has a problem which is inability to set the focus mode to AUTO. I think it has to do with the camera app ... CM camera is perfect.
RAM BAR: Ability to choose between stock RAM BAR. Here is the commit for it: https://github.com/cristianomatos/a...mmit/c52f08b46310eec3ab62e198b7cbbae7244d5bac

I just want to clarify some point ... Making the ROM packing every ain't special hybrid ROMs are all over the place PAC asob recurcion remix beanstalk and many others .... What we are looking forward to is pa cm omni like experience where original things are borned and little is modified , we are replacing stock android apps with apps created by the team all need to wait for this (music player , camera app , wallpaper app , ...) So please guys respect our desicion and try to adopt to us (we are new and still In baby stages) and push us to uniqueness .

Chameleon OS (or ChaOS for short) is a custom Android ROM that gives the user more control than they can experience on any other Android ROM. Starting with a CyanogenMOD base, we customize each piece to give ultimate control while maintaining the simplicity we all love about Android. The most notable feature of ChaOS is the theme engine, which can apply different pieces of themes in a true mix-and-match style. The launcher has been completely overhauled with tons of options that you'd normally need to download a third-party launcher for, such as home screen previews, folder sorting, and folder icon styles. The Messaging app has also had some UI retouches, including messaging bubbles and quick emoji button.
The entire framework of ChaOS has been modified around the theme engine, allowing for custom fonts, boot animations (with animated preview), and themes. No longer do you have to try to find the perfect theme, with Chameleon OS you can patch it together with your favorite pieces from different themes. Messaging, Phone, Status Bar, icons, everything can be set completely individually from each other which provides the capabilities to completely re-imagine your phone. Creating themes for the ChaOS Theme Engine is superbly simple and has extreme versatility.
Even with all of the features we've currently implemented, ChaOS will continue to mature with even more refined settings and features. We will be completely open source and will welcome developers to join us, whether it be by maintaining a device or utilizing our gerrit review. Even if you're not a developer, your voice will not go unheard. We will continually poll our users for the most wanted features and do our best to implement them.

Why should you choose nightly?
- Always the latest updates released every day
- Stable stock ChameleonOS device files
Why should you not use nightlies?
- MEOW kernel is not included
- Linaro optimizations are not included
- TWRP is not included (CWM is)

Install instructions:
If you come from a rom without CWM/TWRP recovery and don't have a recovery yet:
extract the boot.img from the package.
put boot.img in your fastboot directory.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot

I'm getting bootloop.....Did everything as always (when flashing) weird.
It starts up, then says SystemUI force close and bootloop.
Any ideas?

No problem, its been in bootloop for a while now. Too lazy to turn it off lol

I think so mate. I've used most AOSP based ROMs across a variety of devices (CM, AOKP, PAC, Carbon, Bam, JellyBeer, ReVolt, PA, Slim, Baked etc.) but this I'm yet to sample.
It looks very interesting. I'm not sure how it will compete with your awesome PAC ROM build, or krabappel's excellent Carbon build but I would definitely love to give something different a try

Too bad i am having display flickering issues on every Android 4.2+ build out there (CM10.1, PAC, FreeXperia etc...even the Sony build). Otherwise i would install this immediately
I think its a very good work, but even if you get it bugless PAC will always be preffered for all the features.. but who knows, maybe you make this rom even more awesome!
I still didn't get it to boot properly. Will give it another try this week. I'm sure it can be solved, I'm debugging and looking at the logs to find the reason.

One of the best roms I've tried so far.

Being using this rom as my daily driver for almost a week now and I love it.
I think it's the fastest AOSP rom I've tried of all of the SGS3 available ones.
Very stable, full of features, etc.
My SGS3 now looks just like a new Nexus 5 would and is almost as fast :good:

Yeah, I've been having crashes of the UI lately which delete the changes I had done to the status bar with Gravity Box and I have to redo them again.
Quite annoying every day.
Rest seems ok, but it's not as stable as I previously though. I hope they can fix this crashes.

Didn't really like the fact that there is only Active display as a lock screen notifier. Than again, I don't really like waking up the lock screen with automatic triggers.

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. 2) in the gallery (when viewing a photo) and when use the camera the "back" button does not work and often the gallery and the camera crash 3) the "back" button does not work on all apps 4) .....

1. Camera 360 is a 3rd party app. Contact the developer of that for the issue.

Hummmmm the auto flash of the camera doesn't work and when I try to share a picture from the camere to g+ the camera fc!
I'm sorry to say this but this release, for me, is not ready for daily use!
I came back when the rom is more stable!

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). Since then many others have joined the project and it has grown a whole lot. We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone to help other projects and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. That said it has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Is not against XDA rules but it falls under respect. If the OP of the thread says not to mirror his or her's links, I think users should respect that considering what you're getting in return
That said, the speed issue is being worked on and I expect things to go back to normal sometime soon

You dont need any other Rom out there, if you you know that Dirty Unicorn is available.

I tried not too long ago, booted up fine but data and calls didnt work so i tried wiping everything then re flashing Gapps now im currently stuck in a bootloop.
