So I was messing around with the bootloader and typed in fastboot oem unlock and it gave me this:
Code:
C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\adb>fastboot oem unlock
... OKAY
Then I typed in:
C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\adb>fastboot oem device-info
... INFO Device tampered: false
INFO Device unlocked: true
INFO Charger screen enabled: false
OKAY
Does this mean I have an unlocked bootloader?

I can confirm I have flashed the twrp for the l90 and it works after zeroing out laf then power down, then hold volume up unplug/replug usb cable and fastboot comes up issued the fastboot oem unlock to the device and it gives the okay, however the boot.img is still showing ro.secure=1 but as far as i can tell this is unlocked bootloader now, I am working on a rom for it right now...will be posted at androidarea51.com once it is ready, their already is a cyanogen mod out there too as far as I know their is twrp and cwm recoveries as well....one thing though does anyone know how to boot into the recovery directly? So far the way ive been getting in is via adb shell as su and sending the reboot recovery command.

Hello Guys,
i've got a Problem with my C6903.
Yesterday i unlocked the Bootloader of the Z1. (No TA Backup was made :silly: ). Today i Relocked the Bootloader with Flashtool, because there where no usable Custom Roms available. But then i thought why not try some different Kernels?! And now here's the Problem:
I can't Re-unlock the Bootloader. The Fastboot Command says when the first Time entered: Command did not succed. The second Time i enter it it say Device already rooted. Then i'm able to boot from a custom Kernel, boot to CWM and install AOSP Rom. But after Restart the Screen goes Blank (like Locked Bootloader). Flashing a Rom/Kernel through Fastboot just says Command not allowed. In Flashtool, i'm able to Unlock/Relock the Bootloader, well the Tool still says after Unlocking Rootable, not Rooted. But also after unlocking in Flashtool the Problems resist. Tried Flashing Stock Rom with Flashtool, with PC Companion(Repair) but no succes. Service Menu still means Bootloader Unlock allowed: Yes.
Would be nice if you Guys could help me out :highfive:
I don't understand really what is going on with your phone but the only one thing is clear to me, why did you relocked the bootloader anyway? For what reason? because was no custom roms? With unlocked bootloader you can use Stock, Custom, anything you want. For me that was the first your mistake, relock bootloader.
Are you *rooted* when you're trying to unlock the BL? The best advice I can offer is to go back to a stock ROM and start over at the top of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439328.
I've tried now to Rollback to 528, and Upgrade step to step. Still not functional. (Tried with PC Companion and Flashtool)
Don't know much else i can make, other than running Stock Rom for the rest of the Xperia Z1 life.

I understand that you have SIM locked device, and it's a different thing than bootloader.
However, there are lots of websites that you can use to buy a SIM unlock code for your device.

simply connect the phone in fastboot mode and choose BLU in flashtool, and voilla!

Please do not attempt to guess unlocking code. It's not as easy as 12345. Its a long number that will be generated based on your IMEI #. Find a good cell unlocking website and unlock your phone.

Hello,
well thats the Problem, if i Unlock the Phone through Flashtool the Tool says unlocked, and the next Time i connect the Device and go into BLU menu it says Relock ( so the Tool think it's unlocked), but in LOG it still says Rootable, not Rooted. And from Fastboot, no alternative Kernels etc. installable, as the Command is not allowed (Locked). If i go to CMD and try to Unlock with Fastboot, it says the first time Command not Succeded. The Second Time (same CMD session) it says Device alrady rooted. Then i'm able to boot and Flash a Alternative Kernel, but if i Close and reopen the CMD Fastboot Window/Restart the Device, Flash is no longer possible. And if i flash a alternative Kernel or whatever the Device won't Boot, as the Screen goes Blank.
Thanks

Try unlocking it using flashtool, then power on the device, then power it off and relock it using flashtool again. Then go to unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com then try to get the unlock code again, then unlock using fastboot as it is said in the last step in that website.

Dudes, i did it. Found the failure. And for all Guys out there facing the same Problem, here is the Solution: Flashtool found the Unlockcode automaticly for me, and saves it to ulcode.txt. Now heres the clue Flashtool saved the Code as Command: fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY. So the Flashtool tries to Unlock the Phone with the actual command (fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY) + the code thats saved to ulcode.tyt ie fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY. So the command is like fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xfastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY. But Flashtool think it unlocks the Phone. So just remove the Command and save the File with Ulcode only in it.
Tank you

So you could've used the command manually and replace the "KEY" word with the unlock code you got from Sony.
I like to do everything I can do manually.

Good find, you should report this to the flashtool devs to get it fixed.
Hi there,
I have the same problem and couldn't resolve it. I tried everything listed in here or other websites.
I had to relock my Sony Xperia Z1 because I sent it to service. And couldn't be sure if my warrianty is still valid without bootloader lock. So I locked it.
Now I try everyway to unlock again. Via flashtool or via fastboot command line. It says device already rooted. I have 4.4.2 Stock rom.

Paste all the lines together in a notepad. Remove the empty spaces.
Example:-
On a Windows Desktop, the returned string format would be
Code:
$ fastboot oem get_unlock_data
(bootloader) 0A40040192024205#4C4D3556313230
(bootloader) 30373731363031303332323239#BD00

You can buy a poco but as you're in a Moto thread I guess you've noticed: we have Unlocking and Flashing guides, sooo... you know... Explains your question. If you still cannot decide, buy Poco F1, I heard they allow the fun without voiding stuff people cry about!

Actually fastboot boot twrp.img is used to boot using twrp. It'll only happen once and will leave you stock recovery untouched after next reboot. It just boots the twrp for once. While fastboot flash recovery twrp.img is used to replace stock recovery with twrp.
I think this is the case.
There are some devices that won't let you boot directly like this and others will boot the image in a one go.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
I'll suggest you to use command "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" to avoid any problems.
fastboot boot or flash..?
As it turns out, we have a A/B partition setup on moto one power, which means there is no separate recovery and boot partiion.
when we are doing fastboot flash ...| its flashing the boot partion. which in this case will break things, the correct way to do this is
fastboot boot ... and then get twrp installer and take it from there.
This method to unlock bootloader works in moto one xt1941-5?(not moto one power) i suposse yes, but better can secure

The problem is your device is not providing the correct info, the first part should not be all zeros.
try reflashing firmware with LMSA.

If Motorola unlock page show "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking",that means you need give up.
By the way if you just downgrade to 10 with official ROM,you just do it!No need unlock phone(in my experience with downgrade huawei P10)

maybe you need to get on the Mi Unlock tool (download it > https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html)
after downloading, open it up, you'll get this screen:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
click on the settings icon on the top right
then install the drivers. this will make fastboot mode work and make ur pc detect it whenever its in fastboot and fastbootd. follow the prompts in ur screen

adb is used only on system to communicate with it via commands to your phone or emulator
fastboot is used to specially manage partitions on your phone with flashing and erasing for the basics, thus doesnt work with the prefix adb and only with fastboot on both fastboot and fastbootd

if you are referring to flashing stock rom, you need the fastboot firmware incase anything goes wrong, as recovery is only used to update via the miui updater app

well now simply wait 1 week now, maybe you have been confused, no worries
theres another way with mtkclient to instantly unlock the bootloader, but takes more time and requires installation of other programs to run it, which can be difficult setting it up

Hi!
I got this new Pixel 7 2 weeks ago, yesterday the battery went completly discharged and now the phone starts into Fastboot mode, with the Enter Reason being boot failure. Recovery mode and rescue mode both fail to load, and just send me back to the Fastboot Mode. I alredy tried a bunch of stuff to fix it, but the phone its still OEM lock so flashing via the Google flash tool its imposible, does anyone has any idea of what can i do to save it?

yes, Rescue Mode fails to load, so it gives me Unable to connect the Phone
There's fastboot mode and fastbootD I guess. You can enter fastbootD from fastboot. Maybe I confuse stuff tho, since lately I got a lot of chaos in my head. DYOR.
Have you tried Pixel Flasher?

It failed, it gives me "Bootloader is locked, can't flash." and trying to unluck the bootloader with the fastboot commands gives me FAILED (remote: 'flashing unlock is not allowed')
And get into fastbootd and sideload a full OTA somehow?
https://developers.google.com/android/ota?hl=en
Or is adb disabled?

adb its disabled and entering recovery mode also fails, the phone its pretty much new, so i didn't have time do much with it.
I've seen this before where people's phones have "died" when letting the battery run out. I haven't seen any successful methods to recover (not to say there isn't).
Since you're bootloader is locked and you don't have OEM Unlocking enabled you won't be able to flash anything via fastboot. If OEM Unlocking were enabled you would be able to use Android Flash Tool as that will unlock your bootloader during the process as long as you have OEM Unlocking enabled.
Maybe try to see if Pixel Flasher can get you into recovery mode to see if you can sideload an OTA, although given the circumstances I'm doubtful it will. By the way, you don't need USB Debugging enabled to sideload an OTA. Being in sideload mode enables a very limited set of ADB commands on Pixels, including adb sideload <imagename>.zip.
Good luck...

Even trying to get into recovery mode with Pixel Flasher fails.. looks like my only option its asking for warranty and i wanted to avoid that.
Have you tried issuing the command fastboot getvar all to see what slot you're on and what the status of your slots are? Maybe switching slots could get you a boot.

Unfortunately their bootloader is locked so they won't be able to switch slots via fastboot commands. Even if they were able to switch slots they would then have to flash the OS to that slot before being able to boot into that slot since you can only boot into the slot where the OS was last flashed in this circumstance.
I can't get over the fact that you can't just flash an official image on a locked bootloader. I used to be a Moto fan and that was always the good thing about them, as long as it was officially signed, locked or not you could flash the same or updated firmware. Plus if it was qualcomm, when you bricked it would go into edl mode and you could blankflash your way back.
Yet a Google device, who also develops android, you're up a creek unless you unlock your bootloader.
