Hi everybody!
I've CyanogenMod 11 firmware. Now, I would return to stock firmware. I need to use LG Update software. But the software don't recognize my phone. There is the sentence: "Waiting for a connection...". How so?

There is a thread with a procedure you need
I follow the procedure but the problemi is that in cyanogenmod 11 when I connect the device with USB, there are only MTP and PTP optional but there isn't the LG software option. So, the LG Update Tools don't recognize the device because the software recognize the device how mass storage.
Have you tried using the procedure that involves using KDZ_FW_UPD.exe?
If not, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723
And just ignore the part about taking the battery out or putting it back in.
If at step 6 you don't get the same screen, you may first need to try with LG Mobile Support Tool (B2CAppSetup.exe) -> Options -> Upgrade recovery
P.S. I've personally used the above steps to flash Stock firmware to replace a CM-based ROM.

Like the title says:
I just tried to upgrade my Optimus 2X via PC software. The package downloaded fine but in the middle of the upgrade process the PC software crashed(!) and now I have a phone which is stuck in the upgrade boot screen saying:
"S/W Upgrade
Please wait while upgrading..."
So, what now? Any way to get this thing working again?
First, remove your battery and put it in your phone. Boot the phone up and see where it goes. If it goes into S/W mode again, that sucks. If it goes to the LG boot screen, put the battery out again and put it in. Press Power + Volume Down buttom to go into the CWM menu. From there you can restore your backup (if you made one) or mount the SD card and put the (rom).zip file in your SD card. Then just flash the zip from the CWM.
The update process by LG is pathetic. Many a times, I had the same problem as you. It would just get stuck. It is because of faulty drivers on their part, unable to maintain a connection with the phone.
You can try to NVflash clockwork mod recovery (CWM) and then recover your data.
i have the same problem.
i've tried everything without luck.
mine stopes att 4 procent and pc is trying to install some new device
lge mobile composite usb device.
there is no way to work around this issue.
i have tried absolutly everything.

this is the message that cousing all of this.
this is located just in upgrade mode

Thanks for the infos. I managed to install a stock rom and baseband with SmartFlash yesterday. Just a few minutes ago I used LG's update tool to update the phone to Gingerbread.
So, problem solved. If anyone has the same problem, follow these instructions to update the baseband:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/335494-12-aug-smartflash-stock-baseband-release-103521-20110725/

What version of Windows?
What version of USB Drivers? Try newer drivers.
Bootloader isn't be changed by flashing ROMs in CWM. ROMs only need to change from boot partition and upwards since thats all they need to change.

nothing new

What do you mean by software mode ? You mean when the phone is wake up and i'm on Lg Home ? Because when I do it smartflash doesn't find my phone, but windows yes. I tried also to use the SOS recovery mode of B2C but it said that my software version was up to date so it did nothing.

I tried on windows 8 and 7. On twice I downloaded the newest driver 3.7.
I think a problem of bootloader because I flash the old version of V28c, with the .bin and .fls which had CMW inside, It was befor they release the .zip version. It's rewrite the bootloader no ?. And also because my phone doesn't wake up when I push on power button on the V28c, V20G, and CM10. I can only flash it because of rom manager and nandroid backup.
Thanks for help
Solved
After 2 day on this @"#[email protected]# phone, I find a solution work only on widows 7:
With the usb recognition I succed with this protocole,
1) Uninstall the Lg driver
2) Install the driver with B2C
3) Put the phone in S/W mode with the battery windows will say that it's not recognized,
4) Unplug the phone It will stay on S/W mode
5) Reboot Windows 7, and as soon as the desktop finish to load plug your phone
And miracle it's work. Sometime you need to do it 2,3, or 10 times.
Concerning the power bouton it still desn't work on V10A, V20N.... So I think it's broken, so I will exchange it with my operator.
Thank a lot for people who gave me some time.

Check if you have the latest drivers, connect the phone in recovery (vol- and connect to PC), flash with LGFlash Tool.

Did you follow the tutorial? Did you remained calm and gave time for windows recognise your device?
Did you uninstall and re-install the drivers? You're able to reboot in SW mode (vol- pressed while connecting to PC)?
Here you have all files needed:

TNQ...I fix my LG...and know work perfect I put 20A kdz. 4.1.2. and phone work perfect
Same problem here
I have the same problem. I think the stupid thing I did was to install V20a without rooting the phone. Now I cant root it. IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.ap would not run and when I try to recover either with LGflashboot or LG firmware recovery I get the same error message "morning call is empty" (very strange error message). I can go back to v20a but since I am not completely happy with it I would like to resolve it. Is there any chance to fix it? I am not very confident to format bootload or installing custom ROM.
Thanks

You cannot root the phone on V20a using IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk, since that file is used for versions V10x. Check out this link for rooting V20a: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688

Uninstall all drivers and folders like "LG United Mobile Driver" and "LG USB Modem Driver".
Re-install the drivers:
http://www.4shared.com/file/rPpP2btT/LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN3.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/ZSMf2x6n/LGUSBModemDriver_Eng_WHQL_Ver_.html
Take out the battery, press "Power Button" (just to discharge all phone components), put the battery back on the phone.
Press "Vol-" and connect to PC. Wait while windows detect the device and search in windows update for possible new drivers.
Windows won't find a thing but will take some time while trying...
After that you should be OK.
Just did similar to my phone and followed the advice in this thread - now sorted. Thanks guys you rock!
if u epic fail to manually force the drivers in just install android jdk open it and update it.

Rooted LG D405n, nothing done to the software beyond that (unless you count having zooper/nova launcher configured on it). Gave the phone to a friend for a short while and she decided to update the software using the LG software update on the phone. After she selected install on the latest update which came out not long ago and was supposedly going to update the apps, it restarted and got stuck on boot screen with Boot Ceritification Error [560].
I've tried this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/guide-flash-stock-kdz-offline-lg-l90-t2803479 but I got stuck on step 4. because I cannot make the PC recognize the device (it does not show up at all), so the LG tool can't install USB drivers. If i try to do it manually (it gives me an option to select a device from a list) it doesn't seem to do anything, just gets stuck on the Downloading USB driver window.
I can put the phone in Firmware Upgrade Mode just fine, but it doesn't seem to do anything useful. The PC still won't recognize the device, however I can hear the 'usb pluged in' sound (I'm on Win7).
Did a factory reset, didn't help.

You could try the LG Support Tool. Not sure it will work but it's worth a shot. The problem with the phone not getting detected by the PC is the fact that 1) The OS was upgraded by your friend and 2) The factory reset you performed . Both of those acts would have disabled USB debugging hence no device detected.
I unfortunately have no encouraging information to give you.

It appears that I have fixed it.
Since The tool would not download the USB drivers by itself I went to the LG website and got them manually, installed them and restarted the PC.
After that I launched the LG Mobile Support Tool, but it still didn't see the device.
However, I clicked Options and Upgrade Recovery. It asked me for my IMEI. I put the phone into Firmware Upgrade mode and the program started upgrading the phone.
After it was all done, the phone restarted, and the software update simply said that instalation failed, I have lost root but everything else seems fine. Rooted again with towelroot and I'm back in game.

Hello, I have the following problem. As in every other thing ive done to this phone (root, installing twrp, installing xposed) I always thought my model was LG-H502F. Though, my model is LG-H500F, I bought it from Greece, I recently bought Huawei P8 lite 2017 for myself and I gave my old LG to my father, he tell me that sometimes it lags and he is right. I think it lags because I uninstalled Xposed (flashed the uninstall zip using twrp) and also removed root, because he didnt need those things in his phone. The question is: Is there somewhere I can get the stock LG-H500F zip and what guide should I use? Ive been searching for a while now and can't find many topics related to LG-H500F. Thanks
