k so this is what happened i hve a sony xperia z1 c6902 that is on 14.4.A.0.108 rooted through this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/development/stock-update-to-14-4-0-108-t2802266
i hve an unlocked bootloader
after that i tried installing a rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/development/rom-aicp-5-0-kk-4-4-4r2-unofficial-t2819206
so as the thread mentioned in its instructions
How to flash:
ROM has GAPPS, custom dpi & xposed persistance in between dirty flashes
Make sure you are either on any KitKat ROM (CM11, etc) or on 4.4.2 Sony based ROM and NOT on 4.3 (or older) Sony based ROM
Download the latest build
Download Gapps
Take a nandroid backup
Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
Flash ROM using any recovery
Flash Gapps
Reboot.
Enjoy!
since i did the full wipe using TWRP by check marking everything under advance wipe ive been stuck at the sony logo
i tried re-flashing the C6902_14.4.A.0.108_Stripped.ftf file through flashtool by connecting the device in flashmode (volume down + power) flash tool seems to do it fine i'll attach a screenshot below but im still stuck at the sony logo
i cannot access my TWRP or CWM recovery as when i press the vol down button nothing happens
please help me and i'll be eternally grateful
Thank You all!

That rom requires an unlocked bootloader. Have you unlocked the bootloader? I bet not.
Did you notice in the instructions of flashing that rom that you should take a nandroid backup?
OK then, flash a stock FTF, re-root and install recovery and then restore your backup.
If you did not take a backup, you just need to flash a stock FTF, re-root, install the ROM of your choice and set it back up again

Do not connect the phone until it prompts you to do so.

I had problem with update to 14.4.A.0.108 by NUT, with flashing ftf - when done as should be: connect when asked, flashtool threw error and had no imei and no cell radio. Then I done like so: start flashtool, conneted phone in flashmode, then hit lighting button and started flashing process - no error.
So in my case I hed to do oppsite for what you say, don't know if this is 0.9.16.1 issue or anything else but it worked for me.

Please Help To Unbrick My Xperia Z!!

Hi I have a C6603... rooted and running on ExistenZ ROM 4.5
I updated to V5 (Android 4.3/.569 firmware) successfully but without SIM card. Due to my OCD, I decided after putting my SIM card in, to do a factory reset on CWM, followed by reboot.
At the "Reboot System Now" screen, CWM asks me if I wanna retain root on device. I then realized I should just flash whole V5 zip, and SuperUser fix zip then run the ROM as normal. Thus I selected "Go Back"
In this instant, the phone shut down and when reboot, it stuck at SONY logo screen and refuses to boot into anything. I used Flashtool to flash .569 and .67 kernels but both doesn't work.
I also tried PC Companion and tried to "repair" the phone but since it can't even boot the programme just says the phone isn't connected.
What should I do now? I just need to be able to enter recovery..

Try SUS, Sony Update Service. But I think you will loose your data, if I remember right.
Otherwise, what says flashtool If you try to flash the .67 firmware, not just the Kernel?

Rooting problem!!

I tried rooting my Sony V, but its ended up in disaster where the phone doesnt boot past sony xperia part and just loops.
I tried to root it via this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2090319&page=2
Through" Gasai Yuno" step by step instructions. I have tried to originally flash my phone using the"TRIMMED-LT25i-SOL21_9.0.F.0.195.ftf or the original LT25i-SOL21_9.0.F.0.195.ftf " but it turned out a disaster.
I managed to get the bootlocker unlocked but even that seem to have re-setted everything on my phone to default and deleted everything on my phone.
SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!
All I wanted to do was load this ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500671
Those instructions are for Android 4.0.4-based firmware. Obviously the phone will bootloop if you flash 4.0.4 over 4.1.2.
Use Flashtool to flash it to a proper 4.1.2-based firmware and get root using Binary's scripts.
You could also flash a custom root-enabled kernel using fastboot if you unlocked the bootloader.

Unlocking the booloader always resets all data, it's normal.
thanks guys really appreciate the help!
Any chance you can guide me in the right direction to a 4.1.2 based firmware?
This thread has FTFs for .140. You could just search the forum for "LT25i FTF" yourself, you know.

Ok I flashed it back to normal then I tried to install CWM Recovery through this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012738
Using this method:
"Installing CWM for the first time is as simple as:
Download CWM v4 installer for ICS if you are on Ice Cream Sandwich or CWM v9 installer for JB if you are on Jelly Bean, and unzip
Enable USB debugging and connect phone to your computer
Run install.bat/install.sh"
After that I tried installing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500671
But it failed and gave me error7 I think it was, so I tried to forget about the rom and tried reboot the phone back to normal but now the phone doesn't go past Sony on boot up, and I can't load up CWM.
PLEASE HELP!
Flash the .140 FTF using Flashtool once again.

Just for Information... Most flashable ROM zips do wipe the system partition before the actual install begins - as a result, your recovery (which is for locked bootloaders and thus stored on system partition) is also gone. Which means that on reboot neither rom nor recovery is present to be booted in.
So in the case of a broken rom zip or errors in CWM, it is important to either flash another (working) rom zip and the CWM-self-installer zip directly afterwards or restore a (hopefully) previously done nandroid backup.
Otherwise, you'll need your pc to setup your phone again ^^

[HELP]Xperia SP stuck in cyanogenmod logo after update

Hello,
I flashed CM11 yesterday and everything went alright. This morning I noticed I had an update for it and proceed to do it.
After the instalation and optimizing all apps it asked me for my simcard PIN and after I unlocked the phone it just went back to the cyanogenmod logo over and over.
I tried to reboot phone but it didn't help.
I've tried to search for similar threads but since i'm a newbie (first time I ever flashed anything) to this I decided to create this thread.
What should I do?
Thank you!
try to use flashtool. google it on how to use flashtool or check other threads.
So I guess i have to flash a stock ROM with flashtool and do it all over again right?
And btw, any reason you guys might think It got stuck in bootloop after I updated CM11? I came from a fresh stock rom. I'm kinda scared it might happen again after the reinstall.
Can't you enter recovery to flash a nandroid backup? (If you have one)
If not, you have two options to choose from.
Fastboot or flash a kernel with CWM or TWRP.
ADB push a zip file of a ROM and flash that.
Flash an FTF file using flashtool and start all over again.
There are many reasons why you're stuck in bootloop at the moment.
With the info you provided, there's no way of telling what caused it for you.
Well, i flashed stock ROM with flashtool, installed CM11 and I had no problems.
Went to settings and OTA update was available. Downloaded it and installed it, stuck in loopboot again. I just can't figure out what's wrong. My phone has bootload unlocked.
Might just do it all over and not update, is that a problem?
Don't use OTA, just download and flash updates manually using recovery.
In the future, for your ease, if this happens again just wipe the phone very clean (cache, /system, /data etc except /boot) and then re-flash the CM zip that you have.
It is a good practise if you make a nandroid backup before flashing a newer version of zip, in case of breaks. Or, you can have Titanium Backup to backup your apps automatically (pro version) everyday, so that you can be ready if there will be something bad happen.

xperia sp cm11 and other roms

Hello
I have xperia sp i am currently running cyanogen mod 11 but some times I feel like change and look to XDA for finding other ROMs. My bootloader is currently unlocked but I can relock it using sony flashtool (a brilliant piece of code) I keep it unlocked now seeing as sony update service (SUS) is no longer functioning. If I ever get into a boot loop I would just relock my bootloader and connect to pc and run sus. But now I use EMMA as a back up in case anything goes wrong with a particular flash. I keep a CM11 zip file on my sd card plus current KK gapps .If I have a problem flasing a rom and the phone boot loops I flash the stock sony rom using EMMA then I use a program I called xperia tool kit created by QUANGNHUT123 to install a recovery onto my phone then reboot (it will go into a sony boot loop) but dont worry just press the up button and you will enter recovery and once there I install the DOOMKERNEL (another fab piece of code) by doomlord btw then reboot. when leds flah red green blue press the camera button and you will enter philz touch recovery then option to clean to install new rom then flash cm11 zip and kk gapps then wipe dalvik and reboot . job done. I'm always flashing different roms but always go back to cyanogenmod because its fking awesome and know I will never brick my phone because of the proceedures that I use tied and tested.

PLZ PLZ hlep ME GUYS...

My Z3compact is in continuous lopp after I installed theme from here.
I slready have rooted my phone by this method
Since after booting after the theme installation phone is in continuous loop.
TWRP was accessible and I did all sorts of wipes: dalvik cacche, cache, internal memory and everything but still same. Now I even lost twrp as well and my phone is booting like hell and hell heated up as its battery isnt removable.
USB debugging is also disabled.
I want my phone back to normal.
How to repair it?? Can I directly flash a new firmware via FLASHTOOLS???
PLZ PLZ hlep me...
You have to push volume UP and power buttons to turn it off, and yes, you can install firmware via flashtool. Just download a stock .ftf and flash it!
search for the right version firmware (D5803 or D5833) from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/list-stock-firmwares-d5803-d5833-t2906706 , download it and follow instructions on how to flash it
Thanks a lot guys.
When I rooted my phone following THIS thread in step 27 to 33 I created a pre-rooted fw, so can I flash that directly or only stock will work?
I'm ok with any as far as my phone functions properly.

If you don't have access to a recovery anymore (TWRP, Philz or CWM), you must flash via flashtool. You have to flash a .ftf file not a .zip. I think you can also use the option "repair" in the PC companion tool.
I flash default firmware using flashtools and phone was back on track.
Within trwp what I did was erased system as well hence may be phone lost the whole OS.
Now I rooted again and back as ever.
Thanks all of you for prompt help.
