Hello devs, my device is Samsung galaxy ace S5830. Bought new battery and fully charged it , means installed battery widget app through that app i got to know that 100%charged on status bar. Then i unplugged the device from charger, to my surprise its a new battery and suddenly in one odd mint battery discharged to 75%. Its a new battery one day old and for around 40 to 50 mints charging it showed fully charged then unplugged in one odd mint it discharged to 75%. Please help me friends.

Whenever you buy a new battery, always make sure to charge it continuously for 6 hours non-stop before you use it for the first time. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
Thanks for concern bro, actually i dint charged it for 6hours. I did it till it showed 100%, so is there no use if did it for 6 hours now. I think i charged it 3 times still 100% but not for 6 hours. Now can i do it? Thanks again.

my 02 XDA Stellar has been working fine since i bought it used about 4 months ago, and today i charged it so it was 100% charged and it was fine and lasted about 5 hours before switching its self off due to low battery, and now it wont charge, it gets to 4% battery and stops, but ive tried a different battery with full charge out of my dads phone in it and it still says its out of charge and switches its self off.
any help on what to do?
The other day I went and bought a USB micro cable for my phone, which was different from the original one provided in my phone's package.
I never used it to charge my phone's battery until 2 days ago, which in the morning I attached the cable to my AC Adapter charger and started charging my battery, that charged in an hour or so. I got somehow surprised because of the speed but I thought maybe I got carried away by work.
The amazing thing is it's been 2.5 days from then and my phone still has something around 15% battery charge on it.
Did anyone here ever charge the phone with any cable other than the one shipped in the package ? Or maybe come accross something like this ? Is it going to ruin my battery ?
I had a similar situation a few months back when my battery was out of juice for about 4 or 5 hours (it ran out in the afternoon and i couldn't charge until much later on that night). After I charged it over night i got about 2 days out of mine too.
Wp7 probably still lacks a consistent and accurate way of telling battery life, so the phone may show it is fully charged when it is not.
Ones i charge the phone 100% i then browse my photos and broawse apps... and suddently my battery is half empty in under 2 hours time... its strange. because im not playing games with it.
I can strech my batter put over 30 hours, but that with turning everything off, It would be interesting to know how you use it, and what you have installed and turned on or off.
I have 2 or 3 days battery life when the phone is on airplane mode. But less than 1 day with regular usage.
the problem is Radio in my opinion.
I've searched High and Low for a solution but I can't find anyone who have the same problem as I do.
My Galaxy Tab is running on 2.3.3 and it has been good all this while. Then recently, when my Galaxy Tab shows the 100% fully charged symbol, after unplugging it falls back into the battery % I had before charging. (This happens when I left it idle/when I'm sleeping)
Basically the problem is, it wouldn't charge. So I decided to monitor it as it charges. After 2 hours or so, the battery still shows 53% charging and did not increase. Neither did it drop while charging.
However, when I drain it a little, it varies. For example when I drain it to 43% and recharge after that, it might charge till it's 60% or 55% and stuck.
I need a solution. Thank You
Well first of you should try to use an app called battery calibrator.
But it can also be that you have one of the faulty Taiwan battery's. Samsung replaced them later on with China battery's and they don't have this problem...
I have an Taiwan battery with similar troubles. I for example can charge to 100% then disconnect and fall too 99% instantly. Then if I reboot I come back with 50% battery or less left...
So I don't reboot my phone when not at home
Anyways, I orderd a new Chinese battery from eBay ...
i have a bit same problem. when i charge the battery percentage still the same even if i charge it for 2 or 3 hours...is this a software problem?pls help.thnx
Hello all; today i bought a used samsung galaxy note the battery was at around 13% so i puted it to the charger , the indicator showing that it is charging i was playing with it
and i saw that if i use it the battery is discharging , and if i leave it the battery charging but very slowly i left it around 1 hour to charge to 20%.
the Q: is this thing normaly for samsung galaxy note or my phone is faulty ?
and what the problem could be ?
hi andy325e.. this is what i do with all my new phones that i bought since last year, just a quick share. when u bought a new phone, always remember to discharge the battery first until your phone turn off. After that, you charge your phone until the battery reach 100% or max 6hours. This method will bring the max performance and better battery life for your phone. For your case, just take out the battery and put it back in. Switch on your phone, let the battery drain. When your phone turned off, charge your phone. I hope this will solve your problem. Hello everyone. I know many people have the almost the same problem as I but i didnt find anywhere the exact problem that i have.
So before 2 weeks i tried to plug my phone to the wall charger to charge it and it appeared in the notification menu that my phone is charging slow(like when you connect it with the PC its says the same). Before 3 days my problem extended . My phone had like 3% percentage battery and was about to shut off so i tried to plug it so i can charge it. My phone restarted and showed that i have 40% battery , like in 5 mins it charged 37% ...
This happened again the next day with the difference that when my phone restarted and it had 34% battery . This is not possible !!! The third evidence and more annoying is that the other day my phone was 38% and i plugged it to charge it, i had only facebook messenger open amd 3g and my phone discharged in 10 mins!!! The battery notification was showing that the phone is charging but not only didnt charged but also it discharged 40% in like 10 mins!! Anyone has any clue about this problem?
I am using v10h and i have the phone for 11 months now. I dont know if its problem bjt i guess not because all this happened during night when the temperature is like 20 degrees or less outside.
So far I tried different cable, other roms but the problem remains..
Any suggestion to my problem will really help me out
If the phone is rooted, try wiping batery stats
