Hi Guys. Im looking for the most stable rom for lg 4xhd. Im currently on cm 10.1.3 but a lot of battery drain.
I need a rom, which is stable, smooth and a good battery life. Anyone got suggestions? I have looked at some kitkat roms, but apparently still a lot of bugs in Them.

Try AOSP Moltenmotherboard, a ROM based on Lollipop. Version 5.0.2. Search the forum it is too good. Its a true battery saver!!

The rules have changed. They are allowed now.
I suggest giving Official CM11 a shot. Try either the latest nightly or the latest Snapshot.
For me all Android 5.0 ROMs were not stable enough.

I get your joke lol anyway it will run on the Captivate but without any changes to the Kernel it has some wrong settings like orientation and stuff. Also in general it's quite buggy and does not have all features working. The Devs working on it have made GREAT Progress but they only released this "test build" because someone built it from their source and released it before it was meant to be released.

To answer your question it does work. Turn auto rotate off unless you want everything in landscape, use the speaker to listen to the phone, and set the notification ring tones to come through the speaker-just like with any other other I9000 rom whose kernel has not been reoriented for the Captivate. You also may need an external SD card for applications to function. On earlier versions this was a necessity but it may be different on the newer builds. You previously could not save anything to the internal SD card.
I installed it and got everything working using the JK4 modem, but I'm just using the stock kernel right now so Home and Search buttons don't work. Anyone who's reoriented the cm7 kernel mind posting it or pming me a link? Thanks.
I reoriented a kernel but I haven't compiled it yet. #cm7oncappy on freenide for more info

I believe that was done by Dexter, although I can't be certain as you didn't bother to post a link to the video. If I am right then it's a beta version which is run with the stock kernel - if you search on these forums you will probable find a reference to it, but I think he has stopped developing for our device due to the locked bootloader and (I think) he has got rid of his 4X as well.

I do not have o4x in my possesion anymore, sorry. I have limited support options now and not very interesting. the modem driver was not easy to get around, so the sense4.1 release was never public, since it would be 900MB download for nothing, but a startup and running the senseUI, but no modem/data and wifi making it worthless.

I'm not sure there are actually ANY developers on XDA for our device. Also, the last thing I would ever want from a custom ROM is Sense - that is one of the main reasons why I moved away from HTC - it may look pretty, but it is a serious resource hog. The only custom ROM I would ever really be interested in is something vanilla - CM, AOSP, AOKP, whatever.
I would like to learn how to develop roms for my device

Start off by searching - both XDA and Google. Find out how a ROM is put together, what part the kernel, and the main O/S do - find out how to sort out the drivers, get someone else's ROM for a different device and see how it is put together. There is so much out there already, you simply need to search and if you are good enough to produce a ROM then you will succeed.

There you go. It's Semse 4.0 though, not 4.1 but most things work

Do you mean you flashed [ROM][SENSE][10-01-2013] UnoX SENSE4 for Optimus 4X HD - FIRST CUSTOM ROM!
If so then that's a fairly silly thing to do - it is an Alpha release, from a developer who no longer has the phone, and it's based on ICS, not JB.

You need to look at a few OPs to determine what it is that you want in a ROM. Narrow it down to 2-4 and then read the last 10 pages or so of those threads. Narrow it down even more and start reading the thread to bugs, issues,...

Thank You for the reply. How are the custom ROMs fixed to resolve the battery drain if the issue is with Google Play Service?

My rom MoonWalker SuperB v2 a stock KK .230 custom rom have the latest Google Play Service what is rolled out 1 a 2 weeks ago and have no battery drain so far because no one give a feedback with that battery drain so its good and all fine with the battery.
If another DEV comes out with a rom with is based on .233, that is useless its just an Carrier update from a provider like T-Mobile and with the latest Google play service battery drain fix what is already here like i said !
