I'm on Sony stock rom non rooted.
Sometimes when using WhatsApp, WeChat, I'll be typing a message to someone and suddenly the phone will freeze for a good 5-10 seconds before restarting itself. Whenever a crash like this happens, it will automatically restart. Same with using any random app, sometimes even viewing Album or using the camera.
It will automatically restart even when idling. I tried update to the Official 14.4.A.0.108 Firmware but the problem still exists. Is this clearly software or phone issue? Please help.
Seems like an issue with the phone itself as everything is stock. How long have you been using it before noticing the problems?
I had this kind of issue when I used custom, overclocked kennel, but if you're running stock rom then just give it back to warranty.

I just got it like last week .. it came with 4.4.2 & the issue already arise so i thought maybe updating it would help. Using the Sony PC Companion repair wont help either.

Yeah, warranty is the only choice i guess .. lol
Do a battery test
Try to flash stock rom by flashtool, then go to service center if it's still get rebooting.

The last way always is flashing stock Rom
After that and if it didn't work, you should go to service center

I already read some other threads with the same name but nothing really like my problem.
I inserted another person's sim card and after i turned on the phone it started giving me "Sorry! The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly... Force Close. "
But its showing up all the time, one after another. I press Force Close and then another pops up. I can';t even navigate in my phone, i can't do anything but turn it off.
Basiclly i am stuck with 400 euro, phone that just gives errors and is totally unusable.
My phone has stock software, not rooted.
When I got the phone I was so happy...and soon the bsod problems started and I was forced to buy a new one (I see what you did there LG) - but i chose Sony Ericsson this time.
Try to root your phone and install a Clockwork Recovery. Then from the Advanced menu in the recovery choose Fix permissions. Restart the phone and see if it is fixed. If it isn't just flash a custom ROM. This will probably do the job.
This might be a hardware problem or a software problem. Since you didn't root the device you can just go back to the store and ask them to repair it or send it to LG or whatever they can do (because you still have your warranty... right?). Why didn't you go back to the store in the first place?
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk
The problem is after i click on Force Close, it gives me another error too fast and i can't click on anything(I can't really install or use any app). Its like windows errors when you get one error like thousand times and you keep on clicking and clicking and there's no end.
Restarting the phone does nothing.
And yes I already talked with support and Im going to give it back for repair. I don't think its a hardware problem, its the crappy software LG made. I didn't send it back because I could live with 3-4 bsod per week, but now that... Plus im from Bulgaria and the user above knows how long it takes to get your phone back
Okay. Then, try these steps. You don't need to install anything on your phone. You will install a new stock firmware using smartflash. I think this is the only way to fix your phone in a situation like this. Follow the steps:
1. Download Smartflash and its drivers from here and after that install the drivers.
2. Now choose a firmware from here and download it.
3. Run the SmartFlashTool_P990.exe executable.
4. Turn off the phone, remove battery, plug USB in and hold the Power + Volume down keys until you see the software update message - the COM ports field in the SmartFlash program will be filled in automatically
5. Now follow this image:
There is a video lesson too.

Всичко това се надявам да оправи проблема ти. След като инсталираш стоковия ROM и всичко е успешно, ако ти се занимава си сложи някой от последните GR Leak Custom-и. Успех

Hi, I have the same problem on my Samsung SGT5830(Galaxy ACE), but it pups up ones or twice, and stop puping up... My phone after that, working whitout problems... I can receive calls, sms, mms. Also I can call, send sms, mms... I can connect on WiFi, GPS is working too... What is a problem? What can I do? How to do it?
Yes do what gkostadinov said and that will fix your phone back to stock, then root and flash clockworkmod recovery you can use the clockworkmod app from android market to do this once you have rooted.
The pick a nice fast custom rom and profit.

Id suggest using the samsung pc studio(I dont know if it does but there should be some support on updating the phone software) to flash stock rom. Or flash a custom rom if you prefer. If you are able to use the phone and click on the screen then its not a problem to do so.
This is your forum - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1167
I think you will find all the information on rooting, flashing and so on.
My problem was different as my phone was basically unable to do anything.
I had it returned to service as I didnt saw gkostadinov reply on time.
Same happened for me some time back. It was caused by google+. try uninstalling and re-installing the google+ app from the market.
I once used hp kernel rc11 and got the same issues. I just reflashed it with the stable version (sr2). Problem solved.
I get this issue when ever I try to toggle between 2G/3g OR toggle data. I am on the latest Cm7 nightly and recently flashed vadonka's 32M_S kernel . This problem occurred some times randomly while on the Cm7 kernel but now it happens almost all the time when I toggle 2G/3G . @vadonka: I can help you with the logs if you wish to look into this

My Xperia randomly reboots itself, I've had this issue for quite a while. I can't solve the issue by applying a custom ROM because its a T-Mobile phone and I can't unlock the bootloader. I have rooted it and I have applied update 4.4.2. The issue mostly happens when the phone is on standby, but I have had it happen during a phone call once. The most it has rebooted itself is at <19% power, however the issue persists at any battery level.
It is kind of annoying, since it eats up battery life and the increased processing from constantly rebooting makes it warm.
Anybody have a solution or a remedy for this? Simulated battery pull stops the issue for a bit but doesn't solve the problem

If you upgraded your device to KitKat by PC Companion and you didn't remove the program till now, you can search how to make FTF. After you learned and done, try flashing by Flash Tools

If you are running xposed framework try uninstalling that
Hi guys,
My phone is experiencing random soft reboots (reboots without a need to type in simcard PIN) during the day. It happens totally randomly, sometimes 3 times a day, sometimes not once in a couple of days. Sometimes when I use it, sometimes when it's idle on the table.
I'm running stock JB 4.3 A.1.205, LB, Towel-rooted, no custom recovery (I tried some previously and they were givig me all sorts of trouble, so I downloaded fresh official ROM and Towel).
I've been trying to track down the process that causes reboots, I temporarily uninstalled Xposed framework but it still ocurred.
Is this a known issue? Is there a better way to check what is causing that (perhaps in some log file)?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Michal

Try with hard reset or try to flash another stock ftf
Thanks, but the reset doens't seem to change much, it occurs anyway.
I'd rather avoid changing rom again, as I said I just recently installed clear stock offcial rom via PCC and only towel-rooted it.
Any ideas how I could try to track the fault process?

I would have said it´s because of the xposed framework if you haven´t said you uninstalled it once. I had the same problem once, and I was kind of sure that it´s because of some gravitybox settings which gave trouble.
I recommend you to uninstall the xposed framwork once again, reboot and give it a try

Well, I'll give it a go, however I did it before and the reboots occurred anyway... I'm now slowly uninstalling all the apps one by one to see when this craziness stops
I'm starting to suspect that it's a fault of Google Play Services, they're always on high positions in my Wakelock and Battery Usage lists, I heard people are also having some other problem with this app.
Edit:
Another thing is that I try to modify something in AppOps (I'm accessing it via some shortcut apps from the Store), but I cannot change permanently any settings (I click back, then enter again some app and it's all 'allowed' again), is this normal?
I'm digging up an old thread, but I narrowed down my problem to Stamina Mode, I think.
I wiped all data via factory reset, reinstalled clean system via PCCompanion and only townel-rooted. The soft-resets began to appear again shortly after first boot. I tried to eliminate differet things and it seems that the reboots occur only when Stamina Mode is on. I've switched it off like a week ago and the phone has been running smooth ever since.
Now I'm just asking out of pure curiosity, has anyone ever stumbled upon similar problem? Is Stamina Mode known for causing any issues of this kind?
Hi, i have seen many forums regarding this error, so I will post what i have tried already. Problem only on rear camera.
I did clean cache and restarted.
Reinstalled camera app/other camera apps from the store.
Started in safe mode.
Ran xperia diagnostics/service test. Camera didnt start.
As far as i can remember it happened shortly after installing avatar rom. I kept getting constant crashes so i decided to flash stock again, everything works fine but the camera.
Right now i am on 4.4.4, with the "C6602_10.5.1.A.0.283_Customized_US" firmware. Rooted using towelroot, but the problem existed before and remains after rooting.
I have been uninstalling/disabling some sistem apps through Titanium Backup , so I would say i mistakenly deleted some important system app. Can anyone share the process/apps needed to use camera? so i cant install all of them again.
Can it be the firmware? should i try a different one? I would like to fix it without having to wipe, but if it must be I will just restart from scratch.
Thanks for the assistance, feeling sort of lost on this one.

Try with clean install. Repair it via PC Companion or reflash it via Flashtool. If still doesn't work it's probably hw problem.
ok, i tryed reflashing a couple of times, the error is still there. It doesnt seem likely that its a hardware issue. Is it possible to reinstall the files necessary for using the camera?
One other thing, i cant use pc companion repair because it says my software is modified, if i relock bootloader can i use it?

Yes, you can use it with locked bl, but you don't need to do that, find .ftf ROM for your region and model or any other you like and do a clean flash via Flashtool, if still not working it's hw issue, you need new camera module.

i just reflashed 2 different roms for my phone and version. Relocked and repaired via pc companion. And nothing worked, i assume its hw damage then.
Does it happen when the phone suffers a hit? or is there another explanation?. Cant figure out how it happened.
Thank you for all your help.

Can you tell me if it is hardware problem?
I met the same problem
After revive my C6833, the camera can't work. Firstly, the front camera is OK,but not a long time, it also can't work.
After I flashed other rom using flashtool, two camera both can not work.
when I use camera , phone shows "unfortunately, the camera stopped"
press *#*#7378423#*#*
enter service test
camera CAMERA NOT CONNECTED
Secondary camera THIS DEVICE DOES NOT SUPPORT THE FUNCTION
Then, I reflash it by S1tool, the things repeat again.
My Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus has been randomly freezing (Happens at least once each day) even when it is NOT in use. The following conditions are observed on freeze:
Blank black screen
Flickering notification LED
Slight heating up
To recover, I have to force reboot by holding the power button and sometimes it requires multiple force reboots to recover.
Since the phone is only a month old and I'm not sure of the warranty norms, I have refrained myself from rooting my phone and trying a custom ROM.
I had handed over my phone to the official service center; they reinstalled the ROM. However the problem still persists. Before visiting the service center again, I was wondering if I could get any insight/past experience/help from the community here.
Can anyone help me in anyway?

On which ZUI version you are ??
ZUI 2.0.111ST or 2.0.133 ST ??
There was problems in 2.0.111ST .
If you are still at that try factory data reset, then update then again factory data reset.
Tell me if the problem occurs again.

I cant Say what it actually is. If problem is increasing, i suggest u must visit service centre.
But heating problem is common. Try greenify for some lesser background apps. It will surely less heatup.
My phone is also having a problem. The screen flickers when using Instagram . Going black from top and bottom and flickers in center. Only way to exit is to close the Instagram app. I updated and factory reset but problem persists.
I thinks its an software problem because it happens in instagram app.
Waiting for official Nougat update.
thats happen to me twice when i try indian rom, but i never have that problem on chinese 2.3 rom, cm based rom, even now i using zui 2.5. maybe it's rom related

If possible, get the phone replaced. The issue has not yet been solved; my phone is with the service center now and they are looking for hardware problems. They had re-flashed the latest ROM twice earlier, but did not help.
PS: I have noticed that the problem usually arises when I am at specific physical locations. There was a time when I used it for almost a month in Mumbai without any problem. But I have no evidence to support this claim, only observations which could also be coincidence.
I have the same issue but with a ZUK Z2 Pro. I had no problem since about 6 month but since I updated to ZUI 2.5.335 I have this issue.
Did anyone found a solution?
Is there a way to go back to a previous ZUI version? I haven't rooted and installed any custom ROM yet.
I too had the same issue with mokee roms both 6.0.1 and 7.1.1 . So I relocked my phone and switched to stock zui 2.0.133 and the issue is solved. But this rom gives me fingerprint issues

Guys just turn off the notification led from settings. Worked for me.
I am also facing screen freeze issues,
I noticed it happens jut after unlocking phone
I seem os or kernel problem because at that time all 4 cores getting stopped working.
I am on Indian zui 2.0.133
My Z2 Pro has the same problem. I've experienced flash screens, unstable wifi and cell networks, and after that a black screen of death that requires a hard reboot (or some) to live again. There would be a dim notification light whenever it happens, and if you don't reboot it fast, the phone gets hot and loses battery real quickly.
I haven't found a clue about what triggers this, but changing anything in Settings, i.e wallpapers, might have been a cause. I've been using one fixed wallpaper (that survived the issue) for two weeks and no flashed screens so far.
