I am using a BBK Vivo Xplay 3S phone with my android 4.3.
I have it rooted.
I installed Google Android Wear app to connect my Samsung gear live, and it paired successfully. In android wear app it also says Gear Live connected.
The issue is, when I pressed the flag where 'Turn on watch notifications' is displayed, Android wear stopped.
Is there anyone who met this issue and fixed it?
thanks a lot.

Hi people,
I am facing a problem that is driving me crazy and i need all the help i can get.
I have flashed my Gear 1 with TizenMod v2.0, but what i am saying also applies to stock Tizen versions NF1 and 700XXUCNE9.
I have set up the watch by connecting it with an HTC One running the GearManagerStub as we all as the Gear Manager according to the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2780493
Everything (that can work on an unrooted HTC One) is indeed working.
However, i want to use the Tizen Gear 1 with my iPhone 5S.
So i go to BT settings on the Gear, turn BT off (so that it disconnects from the HTC One) and then make it visible.
I then search (and find) the Gear from my 5S settings and when i try to pair the two the Gear pops up a message saying that it need to reset to factory defaults before it connects to another device. If i let that happen and then try to connect the iPhone, it does indeed connect as a Handsfree device but other than that i am locked in the video splash screen with directions on how to connect. That means that i cannot use the watch at all, apart from the basic handsfree functionality.
The odd thing is that i have been using the watch (stock Tizen 700XXUCNE9 ROM) with my iPhone 5 and a 5S in the past (meanwhile i downgraded to Android for some tests) and i cannot remember having that problem.
I also tried to connect the Gear (after being set up with the HTC One) with an iPhone 4 (no BLE support) and it DOES CONNECT without presenting that God damned "reset to factory defaults" message!!!
I know that the Gear (Tizen OS) does indeed work with the iPhone 5S. I have done it myself (see this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2789095) and there is a thread on the Gear 2 forum where member @skeamznz claims the same http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2722069), therefore i am not (completely) crazy and imagining things.
Can someone help regarding my issue? Could someone with a Tizen running Gear try to connect to an iPhone > 4S and get back?
All help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance!!
Anyone?

Found it at last! I had installed the Air Blue Sharing Cydia tweak which is apparently somehow messing with the BT stack. After I uninstalled the tweak, I was immediately able to connect to the watch.
Just in case anyone is interested.

Hi all. I just bought a Galaxy Gear cheaply and it has the latest (MK7) Android revision on it. I downloaded some Gear Manager and other APKs on here to my Nexus 6 and managed to get it to pair, but I do not get weather or dual city clock face functionality. Also some app keeps crashing on my phone after certain events, like hanging calls up. I think it was called GoManager. My phone is rooted but my watch is fully un-modded.
Which OS is the best thing for me to get the most functionality out of this watch given that I do not use a Samsung device, and especially that I use a Nexus 6? I heard of Null, and of course Tizen. Also TizenMod. What should I do to have the best experience & where can I find an up to date guide on what to do with my watch, phone, & PC? I was hoping to have at least a watch face with the weather, my notifications, & syncing of camera snaps from the watch over to my phone (bare transfer every X minutes is fine).
Thanks so much.
Hi All,
Does anybody know if you can pair a smart watch without the use of android wear application? I would like to be able to connect and communicate to a smartphone or a Unix OS over standard Bluetooth (without android wear).
Thanks in advance.
I imagine it's possible, but no idea how it would work. From what I understand all the custom apps use Android Wear as a base anyway.
Back when the android wear fun started, there where an app called BeeLink, but it was pulled from play store, I don't know why.
It was really cool
And there are Wear App to receive notification via BT from an iPhone, so it mean that it can receive data from any device wit BT transmission
I loaded the latest pie last night.
Now Samsung gear won't connect to my Galaxy watch.
Message "check your system files for update"
This must have been left off this beta build.
Anyone been able to connect to their watch on pie?
Mine is working fine. I have the 42mm BT Galaxy Watch. I have noticed that BT streaming music is a bit choppy but not sure that is the watch affecting it.
Download the gear s plug-in from apkmirror
didnt seem to help
Hello,
I am curious to see if anyone else had or still has this issue and if there is a fix for it.
Devices involved:
Phone - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N9600) Android Version: 8.1.0 Build Number N9600ZHU1ARH2 (08/01/2018 release)
Watch - Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm (LTE model through T-Mobile) on latest firmware
Before rooting with Magisk I was able to pair the watch to the phone using the Galaxy Wearable App and use the watch with no problems.
After rooting with Magisk v17.1 (stable) I was no longer able to pair the watch. It would start out fine by showing a matching passkey on both devices. I accept the code and they would begin to pair. Once the watch displays "Use phone to complete setup" is when the problems presented.
The Galaxy Wearable app will say its pairing the devices but shows nothing and keeps sending a notification saying it sees the watch and asks to connect or cancel. I tap connect and I get a white screen with a spinning circle. After 3-5 seconds the white screen goes away and 3-5 seconds later I am asked to connect the watch again.
If I go to Settings>Connections>Bluetooth (on the phone) I can see the watch is paired but the app will not complete setup. (I can pair to my car Bluetooth and JBL Charge 4 speaker with no problems)
I am using Magisk Hide on the Galaxy Watch Plugin, Galaxy Wearable App, and Samsung Accessory Service but that hasn't helped. Nor does uninstalling and reinstalling Galaxy Wearable App.
I upgraded Magisk to v17.3 (beta) and still have the same issue.
SafetyNet check pass on ctsProfile and basicIntegrity
Any thoughts?
Also, does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying notification from SecurityLogAgent that says:
"Security Notice
Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your device to undo these actions"
Tapping on the notification opens Device Security and then tapping restart in device Security boots to TWRP
Thanks!!
