Well, in the middle of using my Gear 1 w/ Tizen a few nights ago, it froze up. I rebooted the watch and attempted to reconnect to my ATT Note 3. The bluetooth settings on the phone show it's connected, but Gear Manager refused to connect. I tried several things: uninstalling and reinstalling Gear Manager, uninstalling and reinstalling a 1.2 version of Gear Manager, factory resetting the watch, and lastly flashing a stock Tizen ROM (same one I initially flashed on day 1 of Tizen launch for Gear 1), and nothing worked.
Next steps- I took the watch to my local ATT store and attempted them to do 'tech support' (yeah right). They said they don't do device support on accessories, but would connect me directly with Samsung. I could've done this from home. The Samsung tech support rep was basically worthless, and wasted an hour of my time after he logged remotely into my phone to check out some things.
Last steps- He emailed me a UPS label and I am sending in my watch to Samsung for repairs. 3 days to receive it, 7 days for repairs, and 3 more days to get it back.
Anyone else having this issue now with not being able to connect their Gear 1 w/ Tizen to their phones? Specifically a Note 3 running latest GM version (2.1###) This literally stopped working for me in the middle of using it.
I was having this same issue. I used titanium to remove all the supporting apps. Then deleted the gear manager app. Then went into recovery and wiped cache and dalvik. Then redid the whole process of installing the preinstalled apps and then gear manager. Nothing works. It will not connect.

Anyone? Can't believe OP and I are the only ones with this issue...

I've been having similar issues, after resetting and reinstalling gear manager a bunch of times it works better. It will connect now but when it fails it can take hours to get it working again. I think it's to do with recent gear manager updates. Samsung just don't seem to be very good at software.

I have the same issue with mine, but I have a note 2. It's definitely the tizen update.

I had the same. Reflashed mine with latest tizen an it worked

I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that so many people are affected. My watch is currently at Samsung getting 'serviced'. I wonder if they even know that GM v2.1 is broken w/ Note 3s. Awesome job once again, Samsung.
I am opening this topic to inform other people that this is an existing problem with gear 2 neo because if you are stuck at 99 % on the gear app then you cannot sync your phone with your gear and that is sad and frustrating to me.
I dont know why samsung had no fix for these despite the release of many versions of gear manager.
The important thing is i figured out a workaround.
Temporary fix for me:
when you are connecting your gear to your phone and when it is downloading additional software , DONT USE WIFI. I managed not get stuck on 99% when using my mobile data connection.
Please post here for a permanent fix thanks

Did what you did. still doesn't work.
ive never been stuck at 99% in gear manager with apps. seems like a weird issue. are you running a stock ROM?
Anyone know what could cause the LGWR to not show a pair code during setup? Because of this, the watch is pretty much junk at this point.
I've reset it to factory settings over and over again and I still get the same results. I'm going to assume it's a bad bluetooth module which sucks but I figured I'd ask on here if anyone might have suggestions before throwing it on ebay as parts. (or the trash can if nobody buys it)

Had same problem ... a quick new installation of the Android Wear app on my mobile and a reboot of both watch and mobile fixed it .... CouldnĀ“t connect the watch after a reset! Tried to reboot/reset watch and mobile many times w/o succsess ... had to do a fresh installation of the AW app then it worked ....
Hope that helps ....
I've tried that repeatedly and even tried flashing different versions of android wear and still no dice. I've contacted LG and that will be my only option aside from eBay it looks like.

Well try this (I had the same problem and find a solution not very orthodox but it works). If you have a tablet or other phone pair with him. Now with the watch paired with other phone/tablet, search in the watch Bluetooth definitions the phone that you really want to connect! This will give the code to the phone! Now, reset the watch and try to pair with the wanted phone!
Give a try... It works with me! Several times!
With Wear app? If watch was paired with another phone, then hard reset will help. Also, that code on picture is strange to me. Mine is with some numbers and letters...

That's the problem is it's not generating a pair code....it's blank! The first time I paired it, it had a pair code but now it doesn't. I have reset it more times that I can could trying to get it to pair to my phone, my tablet, my wifes phone, my kids' kindle fires....nothing works because none of them see the watch.
I sent it to LG to repair under warranty so we'll see what happens from them.
Had same problem just 2 hours ago again. About a dozen reboots and resets on both watch and phone and no pair code ... Deleted the wear app from phone, fresh installation from play store ... and it worked again? .... Sorry that i can't be more of a help than this even i know you tried it allready ...

Hey, I appreciate people still commenting in case anyone else might have this problem and their suggestions might help someone. For me, I uninstalled the app, tried it on other phones and tablets, I even reinstalled a new version of android on my phone just to have a clean slate and still nothing. I tried installing numerous versions of android on the watch and it always did the same thing....no pair code on that screen I posted a picture of.
When I contacted LG they said it sounded like a bad bluetooth module and I sent it off yesterday to be repaired by them so hopefully they get it repaired without trouble.
Same problem here. No solution so far.

I sent the stupid thing in and they "worked" on it and replaced the charging port on it and sent it back.....of course since I told them it was the bluetooth module and it wouldn't pair with any device then fixing the charging port obviously didn't fix it. I've emailed them again but they haven't responded. Idiots!
Sorry to hear that. So they didnt fix it?

No, they didn't fix it. I did a live chat with one of the people at LG yesterday and he's putting me in for another repair so I'll be sending it off tomorrow again. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
same for me. the only thing that help me is to send it to lg in korea for fix under warrenty.
try to put the watch in the refrigirator for 10 min. and try again . it will show the 4 digit code and you will be able to connect but not for long.
It's official.... LG is the worst company to deal with in my experience. I have sent the watch a total of 3 times now and they will haven't fixed it correctly. First time they replaced the charging port, second time they fixed a "diode" and third time, the bluetooth module (supposedly). Still does the same thing..... Sits on the "install android wear" screen and won't do anything else.
I've lost confidence that it'll ever get fixed and I'll probably just sell it on eBay for parts and chalk LG up as a company to never buy anything from again.
Hey, I just got this issue
tried factory reset using watch and bootloader still no good*.
tried connecting using Bluetooth settings on my phone and still no good*.
enabled usb debugging and Bluetooth debugging on watch, then installed wear mini launcher on watch using abd(using cable) , then some magic happened and after i pressed the button on my watch it showed a pair code but not the screen from startup settings, then i tried connect using phone Bluetooth settings app and it connected, still android wear says it's not connected but when i tried again using android wear it finally did connect.
I know it is not a guide to resolve this problem but now my watch is working.
Don't know if this will work only when installing wear mini launcher or any app.
Still hope this will help some peoples.
Now I'm afraid to flash my phone again.
*no good= no pair code
EDIT:
I also enabled everything in the development menu containing bluetooth
I've just got myself a Watch R and am having a problem similar to this. When I try and start the watch, it asks me to pair the watch with my Samsung S7 edge. No problem. It sees the watch and the watch sees the phone. It updates, and syncs however, then it asks me to pair it with my phone which it doesn't see. The watch nor the phone shows itself as knowing that each other exists. I have tried reinstalling Androidwear, restarting the phone and watch several times. I also have an LG Urbane which is registered (although switched off) with androidwear.
HELP!!!!
I just upgraded from a Samsung S5 to a Nexus 6P and wanted to pair my Gear 2 Neo with my 6P for whatever limited functionality I could get from it. I went through the pairing process and the watch said that it would reset all user data and off it went.
It's been hours and the watch just boots up, shows the logo and goes blank... if I hold the home button again, it shows the logo plus "Rebooting..."
I tried getting into the boot menu and choose Recovery, but that does nothing. :crying:
Any way to salvage this?
Thanks!
I managed to finally get it to accept an older firmware download and now it's working, then Keis saw it and I upgraded it to the latest firmware but it Gear Manager won't see it (even though the bluetooth on the Nexus 6P will).
Any way to get Gear to recognize it?

I have this problem too. Did you managed to make it work?

Sadly no. Although the 6P and Gear 2 Neo can connect through Bluetooth, there seems to be no way to get the Gear app to recognize it, thus it is of limited usefulness.
Has anyone else had any issues getting their Gear Live to connect to a Galaxy S8+? I realize this is probably too early to ask, but wanted to get it out there anyway.
Any pairing attempts by the phone are listed as "rejected" and watch just says "Can't connect to the Android Wear app on your phone. Swipe for some tips." I've reinstalled AW, reset the watch a few times.
Thanks for any help.
