make your .zips CW3 compatible (Taking Requests)

.zips (edify ready) are posted here in the right hand column. Android Development Page
If you are aware of my midNIGHT ROM then you are probably aware of my story. I am posting these .zips on my blog at first because my goal is to spread Autism Awareness while at the same time helping out the community. I get nothing for the traffic that goes to the blog. Sharing my story helps people to understand what families like mine go through every day. So I hope you don't mind the little side trip. It's for a good cause.
I'll add more as I get them made. A very big THANKS goes out to amosher13 for the scripts I used in these .zips.
I'll keeping adding them as I see the need. These right now should cover the basics...
If you have a request please either post the .apk or .zip. Free apps only. I will not work with paid apps from the market for obvious reasons. I will do my best to get them converted ASAP. They will all be added to the repository at my blog. All links will be multiupload....

Hey can anyone make some mirrors to these zips? I cant download from Rapidshare without waiting over an hour for each one.

I guess the bandwidth ran out because Rapid wont allow anymore downloads.. Without upgrading to pro.

Eventually everything will be changed, right? My requests, just a couple, are Media Hub and new email, but there's more for sure. Thanks for your commitment!

I also enjoyed reading your blog. It made me think about how some of us just do not appreciate our good health. My request would be noobnl's DK28 odexed and rooted rom. I had requested this from noob but I guess he is busy. Don't get me wrong I'm sure you are also but if you get a chance it would be nice. I rarely get a chance to sit at my pc for more than a half hour at a time so I know how it is. If not I would just make the changes myself. Thanks again.

Before this get's out of hand. I'm trying to do a nice things for you guys. If you have a zip you want converted POST IT. I don't have time to scour the internet and endless threads looking for zips and apks. I will also not work on someone else's ROM. If that developer wants to support CW3 then they either would have already or will be converting over themselves.
That said, I will do my best to covert as many as possible and update the repository as often as possible. Also please keep in mind that everything I currently is for DEODEXED systems only. So bring on the attachments and I will bring forth the conversion.

Dropbox Suspicions? Anyone?

For the average user they can't cause any harm for storing music files or videos to have access to them elsewhere. So no reason for me to stop using it.

I sense lawsuits from somebody.

To add some facts to that: Dropbox already modified these changes, clearifying that those are legal terms they need to technically operate their service.

Yeah, came across this at bleeding cool. Com, from a Greg Rucka twitter (comic book writer), thought there would be some interest here. The main point someone was putting forth is that we are not the customers with dropbox/Facebook etc, we are the Product/Merchandise ...

Shady! I haven't trusted (or used) Facebook for many months now. If you investigate their history it's more than a little sketchy. They don't want your information ... 'just because'.

It's really not that shady; it's just a bunch of legal jargon stemming from outdated laws they have to put into the agreement to protect themselves when storing millions of people's personal file's. Nothing will come of this, because there's no way a lawsuit will be able to get anything out of them

I know its kinda backward, but depending on the size of stuff just email it to yourself. With the size of hotmail and gmail these days a few gigs worth of attachments might just be ok. And if there 'stories', ie your a writer IIRC you've just copyrighted your work by mailing it to yourself (someone might want to clairify or correct that statement, just a thought bouncing around in my poor brain, lol).

Google+ Question

Somebody I don't know said a bunch of crap about me publically on Google+, and tagged me in the posts. I know I can't untag myself from them, but unless they actually visit this guy's page, will followers of me on Google+ see these tagged posts?

It depends on who he posted them to. You can select to make anything you post totally public. Post a link and I'll see if I can see it for you.
Other than that, Google must surely give you a way of untagging yourself for this very reason. Get in touch with them and ask the question.

The post was totally public, and he has no connection to me through anyone following me.

Well, I have another Gmail account and I made a Google+ account there, followed myself with the original account, and the other account. I don't see that post on the new account following the one with the tagged posts. So I should be good, right?

It sounds like it. TBH, I doubt many people can say for sure as Google+ is so different to the Facebook that we're used to.
I think you've done the best thing you can to test it.

Yeah, I mean I think I tested it...I made a new Google+ account, added my account with those tags and I didn't see any of the posts.

K good. So nobody else can see it unless they go to the guy's page. Which wouldn't happen because he lives 4000 miles away and has no connection to me. But there HAS to be a way to untag myself, but I've been looking for hours on this and all I'm seeing is untagging pics.

Like I said earlier, the only thing I can think of is to ask Google. You can't be the 1st person that's needed to do this.

They don't really have a support email I can contact for this type of thing. I sent feedback and posted something on their forums. I'm just worried about somebody seeing this crap. I muted the post, that's about as far as I can go.

I know it's probably a longshot, but you could try asking the guy to remove it. If he does then great. If he doesn't then you're no different than you are now.

Hello everyone from XDA! I've recently opened a graphics shop and have a website I need coded that I want to put up to help show of my work and other stuff. I have the psd made but just need it coded. If you can help me out that would be great. Shoot me a pm

No worries mate. I just think that if it's something you're going to want to modify the contents on a regular basis (or even just every now and then) then you don't want a web developer working on it for you. You want to be able to modify it yourself.

Yea I gotcha. I know how to code some just not very good at optimizing for multiple browser support. But i think i will go with the wordpress way

If you know some coding yourself then definitely go for it - you should have no problems (or simple Google-able ones )
Let us know when it's done - I'd like to see what you've done.

What happened at Chromecast Hackathon???

Hi!! Why nobody is talking about Chromecast Hackathon ??? I have only found some pictures of the event on twitter, but that's it...
The SDK will be realesed to public?? The mirroring found in 4.4.1 its a real deal? When will we be able to cast any file without root or special Roms...

Because nobody knows anything.

It was Invitation Only from what I understand and that usually means the folks who were there signed an NDA and can't comment on most of what happened.
My guess is that the Hackathon was merely a brutal test run Bug Killing fest of the SDK as they have to see if it is good enough for Public consumption and anything that may have come out of it is being incorporated into the SDK now and won't be released until they are sure it's good enough for public release.
Lets hope it does get released in time for Christmas.
Cause guys like Koush can probably pump out an All Cast for us hours after the SDK is officially released.
