I cannot get into Download Mode. It won't connect to Kies. Won't leave this screen. I'm assuming it's bricked. I'd love to be wrong and someone could tell me something can be done aside from a JTAG.
That is also a download mode.
Use Odin to flash a stock rom.
You can try the method in my signature.

Well, I flashed it and now it's stuck on, what seems like, an infinite loop of the Samsung logo...
Maybe there was another problem that cause that failure in the first place.

I can get into the normal Download Mode now. Does that help me at all? lol
Have you ever heard of this "loop" before?
Anyone have any idea how I can get past this infinite Samsung loop now? I can get in download mode but I guess I need something different to flash? Surely someone has encountered this?
You could try to proceed with the overcome instruction. And use it to flash, say Omnirom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634278
Download Omnirom and it's recommended gapps and superSU
Use odin to flash overcome kernel 4.0 tar
Once you have it successfully installed, just immediately power off the tab (instead of letting the kernel do its file system conversion).
Then boot to cwm recovery and flash Omnirom zip.
Then flash gapps.
Then flash superSU.
See if that gets you anywhere.

OK! I finally found a ROM that works. Got it back up to 4.2.2 where I left off. Now I'm stuck with the original problem. It should be in a new thread...

You need the other version of odin. Then unzip the modem and place it in the phone slot. And flash it.
Where can i find that version?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=797282 I found Odin here. Download the file and extract the contents. The Odin3 standalone is there. Save it on your pc, you will use it for flashing kernels, modems and some ROMS.

Both, first put it in debugging mode. Then you power off and run Odin as administrator, put the phone.tar in the phone slot on Odin and click start. It takes about 30 seconds.
Thx but i already found it and have it on my pc my last question is if i put my phone into usb debug or download more when flashing a modem

You can avoid Odin sometimes by going back to cwm and doing a wipe from there and reflashing then doing. A dalvic wipe and rebooting

Backwards, open Odin first then put phone in download mode.
@low99
Dude that picture reply was awesome! 10 out of 10.
Honestly if you don't want to waste time flashing to stock you don't have too. Just nand backup and make sure you factory reset and clear cache from cwm.
dont even need the nand backup... just tibu your apps and green system settings, then CWM your new rom, then tibu restore.
all the good roms do a wipe on install. there is no point going to stock unless you want to practice rooting and flashing with odin....
Hello,
Last month I installed my I9000 CM9 using CWM recovery, today I decided to give my brother's phone a go doing the same.
He didn't have CWM recovery, so we had to flash it using Odin, after a few tries we managed to do this and now the phone starts in recovery mode.
In recovery mode, we installed cm9 and gapps with no problems, but when the phone is rebooted - it goes into a boot loop and this comes up each time.

I can go into recovery mode and download mode.
I tried wiping/factory resetting, wiping dalvik cache / fixing permissions - they didnt work.
I cannot figure out what I should do next.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I had the exact same problem before on my i9001. I dont know what causes this problem, but what solved my problem is: do a full wipe. flash latest stock firmware through odin. Then just retry installing cwm (make sure you have the right one).
Tell us if this works or not.
Hit thanks if i helped

Thanks for the Quick reply, I appreciate it. But before trying all you said, I would like some other people to share their views on this.
Maybe there is another (easier) or (less risky) ways of solving it. Is there? Anyone?

Try to wipe data/factory reset, dalvik cache, then reinstall cm9
U just need to flash stock gb firmware first via Odin and let it boot properly because if u don't then there might be some mobile signal issues then root ur device and flash whatever Rom u want..
If my post helped, don't mind hitting THANKS
So i decided to start using my p1000 again after not using it for a while since i got my note. I decided to update to ICS from overcome. I did the usual wipes and installed through CWM. Seemed to go ok until i went for reboot. Now its dead. Itll get to messed up boot screen if i leave it plugged in but i cant get recovery or download. Anyone any ideas or should i scrap it?

doesn't look like completely dead.
Maybe you can try OneClick Unbrick?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153310
One click didnt work
Im getting the yellow COM box and "added" when i plug it in to odin but it hangs on "setting up connection" when i try to flash anything

Just now another guy ask about this SetupConnection too.
I read somewhere that when it says that, try unplug the USB then plug back.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
That doesnt work, it just says removed-failed. Is there a jig or something to force download like there is with the note?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I heard you can make one.
Anyway for the Odin issue, have you try different sub port?
Also try to reinstall the USB driver.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
If you are having problem while "setup connection" in Odin, and hence fail to flash the firmware, change the USB port. The com box should say 37.

Don't bin it...
in your picture, that's always normal for cyanogenmod... it just shows low battery and couldn't boot.. it will show battery level then that picture.. don't try to flash anything for it will cause your device to be on the pc-caution screen..
just charge your tab extensively and you will be able to flash it again.. that's what happened to mine before... :good:
I had charged the battery and it was showing full when i flashed cynanogen. Made some progress though. Managed to get it in to download mode and flash the pit file which then gave me the pc-download screen. Then i flashed the stock safe from overcome and that seems to be ok. Will try with something else when i get home at the weekend

Hi,
My Tab :
Samsung GT-P1000
Stock Rom was Froyo
I am trying to flash the Cyanogenmod to my Device. I got CWM successfully flashed to my tab. Now when i select the recommended Cyanogenmod for my Tab and try to flash. The flash itself is everytime successfull.
On the First time , the tab reboots to recovery. On the second time the tab doesnt reboot. It just finishes the flashing with a success message. After i restart the Tab doesnt Boot the OS it Boots into recovery.
What i am doing wrong ? Someone here who can help me out ?
Thanks in advance.

you need at least 3 times.
if it is flashing a "system" then that is the last one
Just follow priyana sign..
Important think is all partition must ext4 (system/data/dbdata/cache) that why we must install overcome kernel because its automatic change it but dont too rush install aosp/aokp rom u must check partition coz if we install overcome kernel from stock gb2.3.6 rom sometimes system still on rfs..

I don't know what kind of CM do you want to install, but there is a really good CM10 (JB): sapir-rom.blogspot.hu Try this, maybe the problem is with your ROM that you want to install.
