AT&T Galaxy S5 on T-Mobile Network HotSpot and tethering. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

I am using my AT&T Galaxy S5 (SM-G900A) on T-Mobile Network. It is working just fine but the only feature that I can not make work is Mobile HotSpot or Tethering. I get Mobile Data is not available or invalid SIM. Can someone advise please.

just follow the link then read and watch the video before you do anything and of course your phone has to be rooted. I tried it on my at&t s4 and it works just fine. http://highonandroid.com/android-ap...n-rooted-android-att-t-mobile-sprint-verizon/

Thanks ROMEOH
Your instructions worked like a charm. Thanks a lot.

[Q] Tmobile Note 3 rom on AT&T Note 3

I know this seems like an unusual request but i was wondering if it were possible to use odin to install the T-Mobile Note 3 rom on or AT&T Note 3? Only reason I'm asking is because I work allot out of my office at work and there's very little cellphone reception if any in my office I was curious if it would be possible to swap roms because of T-Mobiles WiFi calling and texting feature built into their roms.
Any information would help pls.
Edit:
I've found on this forum a thread that another member was successful in using Odin to flash a T-mobile rom... here is his thread can a respected member on here please chime in?

No, as we have a locked boot loader. Trying will most likely brick your phone. WIFI calling doesn't work on AT&T as it is not supported by AT&T. That is why you don't see it on any ROMS for AT&T. Would be nice.

I have T-Mobile now and am using a Note 3 from ATT. Wi-FI calling does not work. I see the option but it will not work at all. Stays "enabling".

Do you have a t mobile rom on your att note 3? Cause that's what I asking if it's possible. If so how do I go about it?

Its very easy. I could port one in hours but WiFi calling is carrier dependent. Won't work

I have an ATT Note 3 with T MO software. It is fairly straightforward. Was easy to install. Once I installed the TMO os on the phone it WORKED BETTER.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625946
Again, I cannot wifi call but adding the tmo carrier option via the Modificatinator helped a lot and it FIXED THE GPS issue. It's obvious the GPS issue is ATT related. Adding the additional TMO was a lil pain until I figured it out it was cake.

Hi,
I am planning on installing "TweakedN3 2.0 UVUBMI7 4.3 SM-N900T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 ... for AT&T!" this weekend. Can you tell me how and what what you did in the Modificatinator to include TMO ?
Thanks!
So I loaded the Tweaked rom on my N3 and it is pretty impressive. The only thing that doesnt work is WIFI. ANNOYING. It hangs at "enabling wifi" Unsure why. Seems to do this with all the non Aroma TMO roms except Elite S5 port.
You must use the wifi fix, umm its around, I do not have it on me, PM me to remind me, I will upload it when I get home. :good:
Hello - I have the same situation as those in this thread. Got a deal on an AT&T Note 3 unlocked, but am on T-Mobile's network. I'm using the Alliance T-Mobile ROM for the AT&T Note 3 and everything is great except wifi calling doesn't work. Always get a ER041 DNS error or hangs when trying to switch wifi calling settings. Since I'm on T-Mobile's network, shouldn't I be able to use wifi calling? This shouldn't be a radio issue but rather a software one I would think.
To add to this, the following post mentions this feature is at the kernel level and wifi calling will not work. Not sure if this can be confirmed or there is truly a fix.
This wifi 'fix' that was mentioned; does it exist and do you or anyone have the link? TIA

Wifi calls working?
I was wondering if you ever got the wifi calls and texts to work on your SM-N900A? If so, what did you have to do? If I can't get it working I might just go back to my S3, only because I work at ExxonMobil and all the buildings out here are "blast proof" causing zero cell signal.

You can't get tmobile wifi calling to work, but you can get a Google voice number then installed Hangout dial to work as wifi calling, I have same experience since I never got signal in my office. So I use google voice all the time, well i need tell others my phone numbers though. it is free to call within US, and Canada, other place i think there is charge.
Cool, I'll do that. Thanks.

[Q] Can you use the S6 EDGE AT&T version on T-Mobile?

Can you use the S6 EDGE AT&T version on T-Mobile? Or would it be better to get one from T-Mobile and use that on AT&T and T-Mobile?
You can but only 3g I believe
T-Mobile probably since they have root and all that jive. But why would you want to have an ATT phone on T-Mobile?
Because I use ATT as well. I think the ATT variant didn't have 700mhz.
LTE worked.

That's really good to know. I saw a video on YouTube I can't recall which one though that shows the At&t phone prompting to do a T-Mobile software upgrade. Of course this is after the phone is unlocked and a T-Mobile Sim card is inserted. Is that true or is it a load of manure. Thanks in advance!

WIFI/Video Calling on T-Mobile Note 4 N910T with AT&T service

Have any of you been able to get WIFI/Video calling working on their Galaxy note 4 T-Mobile N910T with AT&T service, and if so, how?

Wifi Calling is proprietary to T-mobile. Can't be done on other carriers.
There are apps that allow this however. Spare Phone, SipDroid, etc.

Okay. They finally released the Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Note 4 AT&T last week which allows Wifi calling. I just thought that since they finally rolled out Marshmallow for the AT&T Note 4, that the WIFI calling feature will start working for me on my N910T using AT&T service.
Thank you

How to make wifi calling work on t mobile note 7 with AT&T simcard

Hello, im trying to use the wifi calling option but I get er-05 invalid sim. I have a note 7 T-Mobile unlocked for At&t.
Is the AT&T Sim activated with a Data plan. A active valid Sim on a account with a Data plan will be needed most likely for the native Wi-fi calling option on your carrier.

Then it sounds to me like the T-Mobile Owner did not complete the Unlock with the supplied installed application or your Sim is bad.

At&t wifi calling is not only based on sim their framework is baked into their ROM you might not be able to get AT&T wifi calling on a T-Mobile note 7 as T-Mobile phone is tweaked for T-Mobiles wifi calling
