[Q] Theme: Complete Black

Hello Devs & Themers!
My GF & I are both legally blind, we both have Android Captivate from AT&T I really like the phone however the contrast is to be desired with that said:
I am looking for a theme that can be do throw update.zip the theme needs to be fully black background on the follow apps:
G-Mail
G-Talk
G-Voice
Messeging
Search screen (Quick Search w/ voice)
Market
Keypad
Calenda
On these items all input fields need be black background with either yellow or while text bold for showing where stuff is using white outlines would be great.
We are willing to give up-to 50$ for this to be done. We would like it ASAP.
We both grateful for the many of you that know what your doing and have dedicated so much to the community of Android.
IF you know of other stuff that is already able to do this stuff if you put it all together in one package and fill in the gaps your get 25-35 $ but please give credit to those that the parts come from.
Edit: Also so you know we are both using Launcher Pro (Paid Version) Also if you have any questions please PM or post here!
Thanks very much & May God be with you all!!!
God Bless,
Christopher & Janice

Introducing
Smoochiezz's Sweet! Swypes
Are you tired of that ugly gray swype? Ugh, so was I. Wish you could add a pop of color to it? Well look no further. I present to you my Sweet! Swypes. Featuring every color of the rainbow with some in varying shades. Sure to be a favorite amongst guys and gals. I will start producing different styles of keyboards of and then updating with my selected shades. All other shades will be by request. I made these for personal use but there's no harm in sharing ;-)
*As of right now, noone has been able to theme the swype trace for the beta version. Once it is possible, every package will be updated with its respective trail color.

Directions To Apply
*Open up your chosen file explorer. Navigate to \data\app\ and locate the com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk ( If you choose to use Es you will have to go into Settings>Tick Root Explorer Box)
*Copy the Swype apk to the root of your sdcard. (The theme will only take if the apk is in the root.)
*Go to Metamorph and select "Unzip/Extract New Theme"
*Navigate to wherever you downloaded your chosen theme to. (If you downloaded from the Xda App, it will be located in /sdcard/tapatalk_download/ I have Xda Premium and this is where mine is located)
*You will be presented with a preview and you may now choose "Apply All". Congrats! You have themed your Swype. Now onto signing and install!
*You Must sign the zip or else you will get constant force closes. Thats where ZipSigner2 helps. So let's open that up.
*Push the "Choose In/Out" button at the top and find the com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk in the root of your sd card.
*Your output should now read /sdcard/com.swype.android.inputmethod-1-signed.apk
*Leave the key mode on "auto-testkey" and Sign The File.
*Before going further, you should make a backup of your data with Titanium Backup or your preserver program of choice. This will collect your personal dictionary for late use. Now uninstall Swype (not the Installer, This step is not mandatory but is recommended to prevent any errors so just do it : ) )
*Using your file explorer, now install the signed swype. (There will be two on your sdcard. The themed one and the themed signed one. Make sure you install the one with "-signed.apk" at the end. If you choose the other one, you WILL get force closes)
*Go to the "Swype Installer" program and activate and choose swype.
*The final and most CRUCIALLLLLLLL step of them all.......ENJOY!
Requests & FormatsI would like to help other people get a swype that they feel is custom to their wants. I am by NO MEANS a graphic deisgner. I just edit existing images. I dont use Photoshop or Corel therefore I do not promise a "professional looking" result. I will however try my best. I can theme swype multicolor as well. Refer to the following rough draft image to see the different aspects that may be themed. (I know its a bit jarringly bright but i was working on a girly theme when i uploaded it). If you do submit a request, please list the five colors and their corresponding titles. All requests are not guaranteed to be completed but I do promise to try. Until then, enjoy the unicolor ones above.

Possible to do a white one?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
Is there no way to prepackage the modified apk's?
I can do a white one. Right now I'm trying to get these tracers down pat right now but I fan crank out a couple of more while I research. Premodified apk's are a nono of swype and is illegal. I would have definitely did it if I could have.
Hey bro, first off, nice work, Thanks !
**My MAIN quesion is : Most of the Swype mods (yers & DJDK) I couldn't help but notice that the 'Voice to Text' Icon appears to be missing ... is it just the icon that is missing or is the 'Voice Input' function perhaps not possible to mod >?
I really like that feature, esp when driving, but really jusy use it a lot in general, sol I wanted to ask .... thanks again for yer efforts !

I haven't seen DJDK's work but I know that the voice input button is definitely there in mine. Have you applied the morph? Its not in the screenshot because its actually an seperate image that is overlayed on the original. The reason why? I have no idea. Same thing with swype logo which is not present in the screenshot either.

Did my first white one today. Its called MarshmallowwIndigo and is available under" Upcoming Themes & Series". A series of different colors will follow. If you specify what color you'd like along with the white, I can make yours the next in the series.
I would love to try one of these different colors but since Swype came on my Bionic phone i do not have the swype beta installed or the installer so i can't find the apk file that is needed for step 1. Do i need to install the beta and the installer even though Swype is already installed on my phone?
It should still work even though you don't have the beta. Your swype is probably located in system/app and named swype.apk or something of that nature. Just copy it to your sd card and rename it to com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk. Then morph as usual.
When I try to install the new, themed com.swype.android.inputmethod-1, I get an "Application not installed" message from Android. Then when I go to my Swype beta installer, the option for the themed swype isn't available. Is this because I am on the 3.26 beta instead of the 3.25?

[HELP][CM10]Emoji help

Well I'm on the 9/30/2012 nightly of CM10 and I saw in one of the older changelogs that they added more emoji stuff, I myself love using the emojis, soo can anyone really explain how to use them?
I know that pressing the menu button and then input emojis but is there another way?
Well crap, this isn't the Q&A section...
Can a MOD move it or someone answer it?

Hello, This is dark theme mods based on deodexed files of auras76's RomAur ROM and djsnoopyxxl's mod apps. With my noob skill, I decompiled their mod apps & deodexed apps, compared them, copied & pasted them to meet my need. All icons & others graphics that isn't stock belongs to djsnoopyxxl. I added my variant of text color a liitle bit. Basically these files are deodexed but they're working with stock odex rom and should be working deodexed rom too (I'm stock odex).
I've tested this mods on my XZL (original thread) and confirmed working on XZ by some of you guys (thanks for risking your XZ guys )
And as always, Use it as your own risk (and bla bla bla )
How to install
do a full backup before installing, just in case.
install via cwm.
wipe cache & dalvik cache.
reboot.
(hopefully) enjoy
I didn't test all menu/screen of these apps but i'm sure there are some of them that still has stock-eye hurting look. If you guys test it and found them or other glitches/bug. Pls tell me, i'll try to fix them

great job mate. it is realy good. we are waiting for more!!!
one little glitch i found. it is not serious, but it is there:
if you go to edit a merged phonebook entry (for example a phone book entry which is merged with a skype entry), then there is a white background theme with white letters and grey text input fields. it should be black background theme with white letters and grey input fields...
do your magic :good:

Unfortunately, for reason I don't know, I can't take screenshot...
I tried also third party app for screenshot, with no luck. All I get is a black frame.
If you like you can try to merge two contacts together (you can merge two phone contacts) and then try to edit this new contact, in order to see what I am talking about

just another thing i found:
during a call, if you press the audio select button, if you have a bluetooth connected, there is a pop up menu, where you can select the audio output.
with your mod this menu has white background with white text, while it should be white text with black background...
is it possiblw to resize the contact picture to be inside the frame below the upper call bar because whenever a full contact photo is displayed during a phone call, the number and name get disappeared since the backround is transparent and the text is white

[THEME][XDA LABS] XDA Evolved

Hello There!
I’ve worked for a while on this project , along my studies and my other occupations . This took me a looong time , between all errors while compiling and colors choosing, that was kind of messy, but that’s finished now .
This app is a themed version of XDA Labs , I credit by the way all XDA Labs contributors and @blk_jack who built this app. I use it very often (more than I go on XDA on my PC) , I was wondering if colors can be a little more «Google» , so , I modified the colors and the logos myself and here is the result.
Installation Instructions:
• Uninstall the original XDA Labs version
• Install XDA Evolved
• Enjoy
• Put feedbacks on the thread (if you have one)
Changes brought with the theme:
• Main color: Google’s material blue
• Accent color: Google’s material yellow
• Icon (XDA Labs and Forums)
• Menu Background picture
• You’ll see for the rest
Known Bugs:
• Can’t login with G+
• Tell me down below
I’m open to every suggestions for color changes , as well as for the logo design (which is pretty minimalist) or anything else.
If you want to know how I themed this app , you should take a look at the tutorial I wrote. I explain the general method to modify colors and then I apply this method on XDA Labs.
You can have a look at my guide «How to theme android app’s colors» clicking this title.
I’ll make a substratum version soon , but you know , studies and stuff take me a lot of time so be patient.
Download:
XDA Evolved v1.0
And , please , if you liked my work , make sure you press the thank button ??
I'll make a custom version ( with changed colors and everything else ) for the 10 ten first that asked me.
Every single suggestion is welcome by the way. If I like your idea , it will be integrated in the next update.
Speaking of updates , I'll update the theme very time there is a new version of XDA Labs.
Request:
• Accent : white Primary : White
• Accent: Black Primary : Red
• Accent: Sage Green Primary : Dark Blue
Edit #1:
My PC is dying , when I got a new one I'll make those requests

If you have an account linked with your G+ account , you only have to set a password . You will need to login with your PC on XDA and then the settings of your account . Go to password and create the password you want. Don't forget to save changes .
great work! I use xda labs all the time but the colors.. always thought that it was a "sad theme" so I'm very happy to see some refreshing colors what I always wanted was the ability just to have the ability to change the primary and accent color (like a menu with some presets colors to choose from or something like that) but not sure if it is possible to do that as it is way harder to do that, but just a suggestion and I am already happy with it so thanks a lot for your work

Just give me the color you want ( hex code or an image where she is ) and I'll make a version for you.
The problem with your suggestion , is that the menu you're talking about implies I create a brand new object in the app. To do that is really long and hard , because I should write the code of the object manually (I don't know if Android studio is able to modify an already compiled apk) . What I just do with this app is modifying code lines , I haven't created anything , but for sure , that's a pretty good idea which I would have liked on my app.
Thank again for this creative idea ?.

This is a problem in the original app. They are some links that require chrome such as the Forum rules and others "out forum" threads.
This happen also with a slow internet connection sometime , it says * Loading* this it displays a *unable to parse the forum's link* or something like that .
If it happens everytime you click on a link ( try with the download link for XDA Evolved on the OP ) it isn't normal , you'll say me .

That is really nice ? of course my idea mean rebuilding, coding etc, so you are right I think it is easier to release some separate apks from time to time with their color or something like that
For my ideas of colors I was thinking maybe similar orange as xda's accent for primary color with a darker orange shade for the accent (or an other accent color, we often see what looks good when we see it for reel), or maybe like the android P settings style; same white color for background, header, status bar and primary color but an orange or pixel blue accent color, with the header titles/text in the accent color like on my screenshot
It is just ideas, only do what you like, and thanks again
have a nice day

The Substratum theme idea sounds better than a separate APK. That way folks can choose whatever color they want.
