Hi,
I recently brought Xiaomi's MI3 mobile,
Everything is good except volume in headphones.
Previously i user S4 mini and Xperia Sp,
In those mobile i saw a way to increase volume by editing msm_snd_soc_2x file,
but i cant find it in mi3,
Can somebody explain me is there anyway to increase volume by editing similar files,?
Edit:
I Found a way for this, follow here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-3/general/increase-headphones-volume-mi3-t2846379
Volume
Use .flac format instead of .mp3 or similar, Good news is mi3 supports .flac
google to more info about flac
Download dbPoweramp converter and set lossless level : uncompressed/level 8 (per song 60mb above )
But using flac u should have a good headphone otherwise sound may be cracked :cyclops:
I'm using Bose IE2 Headphone and flac format songs ! sound clarity and everything is working fine like theater :good:
Try installing Viper4Android: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223

Hi,
so i got my diamond a week ago, and bought HTC usb-jack cable to plug my mobile on different hifi system to listen to my mp3
- sound sucks
(even i use core player, media player....)
When i switch on radio, quality is normal (good i mean)
And when i switch on my bluetooth headset, quality is also super (mp3, radio, ....)
Does anyone can tell me if it's normal or no, and how can i really improve the mp3 quality making it -normal- using usb cable !!!???
Thanks... A LOT
ahhh, youve used the audio booster havnt you? it has issues with unplugging headsets at the wrong moment and leaves you with permanant bad sound!
this thread will sort it out and get perfect sound quality back

Hi keyz86,
thanks for the link, and sorry that i didn't check well on the forum (reading so many threads at the same time)
MP3 sounds so great now on my diamond, using usb cable
Hi... need your help again.
When I play my mp3's the sound is really poor. I use Sony in ear phones (and tried these with differente headphones) with adapter. The mp3 sounds like through an old telephone... The audio booster doesnt do much difference... BUT listening to radio all sounds great!
What could be wrong? All Mp3s I have are CD quality (used them on my Ipod and Vario II with no probs), even the HTC sample Mp3s sound the same.
founded in a polish forum try it:
1. when the sound is bad, connect the earphones
2. swich on mp3 player
3. pause
4. go to Audio Booster
5. disable Equaliser
it should be OK, and you could activate Audio Booster next time.
in general, it looks like you have some old rom ver, or sth...
got it
I found another thread on another forum & fixed the prob!
The issue is something goes wrong with the phone if you disconnect your earphones while the audio booster is on. What I did was connected the earpieces again, disabled audio booster, soft resetted the phone... and voila... works with nice bass again!
Thanks for help.

1. Connect earphones
2. Start playing the song
3. Without stoping the song open audiobooster
4. Disable it
5. Unplug the adapter
6. You'll have an error but don't mind. Plug it. Click on retry
7. Enable AudioBooster again
Hi,
I tried different (stereo)-headsets from motorola and jabra. The transmitted audio is not very loud, I tried the headsets with a bluetooth-connection to my windos-XP and it was much louder.
Is there any setting that sets the transmitted volume?
The volume button doesn't seem to affect the bluetooth volume, only the normal speaker and headphone.
Pocket Tunes volume booster
Hello,
Do you know pockettunes?
It's a nice prog with A2DP & AVRCP support.
And for you.... a volume booster up to 15db.
Not always perfect sound, sometimes a little scratchy, not disturbing.
I hope attachment will do it.
I have problems with uploading
[EDIT: ok, no attachment, sorry.. tou can search google for a torrent with the file ''Pocket Tunes 4.1 for Windows Mobile.zip'']
Ha!
Thanks so far! Now the music part can be solved.
But how can I do that with phone calls?
Hi all,
I’m an old geezer with some loss of hearing, watching a lot of series on my Tab S2, wearing wireless (Bluetooth) headphones (Bose QC35) but find the media sound still too low on the headphones highest setting.
I wonder if any of you come across an app that will boost media sound. Some films are louder and I can cope but for some reason watching series they all have lower sound level. It’s not just the headphone as I have a PSB M4U 2 wired headphone as well with the exact same result. I have searched playstore but not been able to find any good ones.
Hope you can help out.
Kind Regards,

would need root
Thank you but I have no idea how to root my device
Regards,
Sorted! Configured MX player as my default player. The sound can be upped to 200% with just a tick in its system. Now, it's more than enough even for me.

If you are satisfied in that too
Hi all, this is the last try I give to my issue, you're my only hope!
Long story short: until I used my LG G6 I had no issue on audio quality from Spotify through my bluetooth speakers or car speakers.
I then moved to a new LG G8s and found the bluetooth audio was really bad: crispy and distorted especially when listening to rock music, where the snares sounds really bad like an old low quality mp3.
Thought it was a phone issue, I changed it with a Huawei P30 pro but the result is the same.
So I almost tried everything: formatted the phone, changed sound sources, changed streaming apps (Spotify, Deezer, Tidal...), changed streaming quality (tried Spotify Premium), change some settings in developer mode without any result.
The only thing that seems to work is empty the bluetooth cache and then re-pair the speaker or the car audio device, but the quality returns to crispy after few minutes.
Side note: I have no trouble at all with my Freebuds 3, the only bluetooth device that works well, probably because they're the only one supporting a different codec than SBC (but I wonder why using my LG G6 everything is ok with any output source, the codecs are the same...).
I'm open to any suggestion.
Thanks!
If it's anything like my old P20 Pro it needs an app called Poweramp as without it my earbuds sounded terrible.

Honestly I don't know how to solve this.
I believe Poweramp could solve the issue with music played from the local storage but not from Spotify...
