Nexus 6? - Nexus 5 General

Hey XDA,
I just thought of an idea. If LG made the nexus 5 and are presumable making the nexus 6, then maybe the LG g3 GPE will be the nexus 6? There hasn't been a g3 GPE yet and usually the nexus phones are release when the next verison of andriod is released?
What do you think?

Totally need more speculation threads

I think it was somewhat inferred that it will be a phablet made by Motorola, but who knows. I love my N5, and hope the N6 is similar.

Don't you think your signature is a little bit too big? Your one post can occupy the entirety of one of my 1920x1200 monitors :/

Nexus 6 thread here....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696145

lg made the g2 and nexus 5. the g2 and nexus 5 are completely different phones, they only share the same cpu(that's tweaked differently). none of the nexus ever released have ever been the same phone as something else, now why would they make the g3 and nexus be the same phone?

This; first the server logs saying 4.3 will be released at I/O, and now the times of 4:23 on the white n4 and 4:30 in the gmail app, so annoying haha

So your saying there might be an update today?

I think it is not exactly today. He just means that the next update might be coming, either 4.2.3 or 4.3.

Sorry but there was no need to start a new thread for this news, you could have used one that is already open.

Open betas for Nexus devices

Android 4.3 should have been revealed earlier in the year, and the last few months should have been betas for Nexus devices, available as full ROM images.
Result: Less running dodgy leaks, more stable end code, happier techy end users.
Apple do it to great effect, and I feel Google are missing a trick here.

I think the way Google sees it is this: from the release of a new version (nexus devices) until the release from OEM's (Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG etc) it is kinda like open beta, where a large userbase uses the new OS (bug smashing) and developers catch up with the new API. Maybe this is one reason nexus devices are somewhat considered developer phones.
You tell them Peter! Cuz you so crazy like that....

Question about new nexus 7 screen

Just wondering if anyone has the new version yet and knows if the screen is polarized and if so, in what direction. I have a first gen that I got a while ago that is destined for an install in my car. However the screen is invisible in landscape mode with polarized sunglasses so I've been holding off installing it.
You'd do better asking that question on the N7 2013 forum.
Thanks. I didn't realize there was a separate section for the new N7 since I saw people talking about the new one here.
There's a new N7??

Yeah I didn't know about it until yesterday when my nephew told me about it. AFAIK it was just released last week.

Yeah, but you should've known this would've happened. Regardless, don't expect to get anything less. And like I mentioned before, should've checked the thread already made.

Android 5.1 Update for Galaxy Note 4 coming in Next 2 weeks!

Just found this . As always guys please take this with a grain of salt, who knows if the sources are reliable or not but it's always great to have some hope it's coming sooner rather than later.
http://www.geeksnack.com/2015/05/22...llipop-update-incoming-in-the-next-two-weeks/
The article is full of mistakes so it is unlikely to be true. Considering Samsung's history of delivering late updates we will probably wait forever
Sounds too good to be true, and we all know how that goes
according to this article we already have 5.0.2!! oh wait... we kind of... don't!
5.1 update possible for tmobile edition, but only after they release the note 5. Even than they'll make us wait a few more months because cmon there tmobile and they take forever.

I have high hopes but low expectations. Luckily 5.01 has been running fairly smoothly for me with AT&T. (knock on wood)
