I downloaded the most recent Xposed apk from the official thread and installed it on my Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7270.
The phone is not unlocked so it is using the stock recovery, the firmware is S7270ZSUANB1 (Samsung with Kies).
I have SuperSu installed and the phone is fully rooted (did this by flashing CMW from computer).
After rebooting Xposed declares to be not active and asks me to reboot again.
(I don't know if exposed has to ask for root privileges but if it had, it didn't.)
I read elsewhere that the phone rom has to be deodexed for Xposed to work, but the official thread says it doesn't have to.
What am I doing wrong?
First of all, check that Xposed has root permissions (open the SuperSU app and check there). If that doesn't help, try checking the FAQ. If you still can't find an answer, post a screenshot of your "Framework" screen.

I can only uninstall the update of supersu in the playstore : a old version from supersu stays installed.
So I've delete the update, and I've done the update of supersu ... root was OK.
BUT same problem after reboot ...
SuperSU says "no binary SU installed ...".
Shut down and pull the battery for 10 mins, then repeat.
It will occasionally do this but just repeat the process or avoid shutting down the phone once you have root.

Strange but I will try ...
I've tested with "root checker" and it says "not rooted". Normal ??

OK. I hope the process will work ...
If not I would flash a pre-rooted 4.3 stock ROM but I didnt' find one. Do you have a link for this ?
Thanks

Noob friendly explanation for rooting i9305 with CF auto root
warranty will be void hereby. steps to root the phone in this order:
* download Odin3 v3.09 here, right click and ''open as administrator'' on your pc
* download CF auto root for i9305 here and unzip it to get the CF auto root .tar md5 file
* in Odin, in the option section you should check the boxes of auto reboot / F. reset time and uncheck re-partition!!
* enable usb debugging in your device in developer options, if you dont see developer options, go to ''about phone'' and tap the buildnumber 7 times and developer options should be visible now (this part is not strictly necessary, just in case if your device is not recognized by pc or odin)
* turn off device now, and put it in odin downloadmode by pressing and holding VOLUME DOWN - HOME - POWER buttons at the same time till you see the ''samsung galaxy sIII GT-i9305'' text, then you let go the buttons and it will boot into downloadmode
* in odin, click AP button and select the CF auto root .tar md5 file that you have extracted earlier
* now connect your i9305 to pc with usb cable (in odin under message box, it should say added!)
* now your ready to hit START button, after finished your device will reboot and will be rooted There is a chance that after reboot some message like ''supersu has stopped'' will popup, DONT worry read further...
after you have rooted the device, there will be a app called ''SuperSU''. but its a older version of the app and its ''SU binary'' needs to be updated. go to playstore and under my apps search for supersu, it should state that it needs to be updated, do that and restart your phone
configure the settings of supersu after the reboot as you like.
for deleting or freezing some apps, download Titanium Backup app (pro version recommended for optimal usage) from playstore. open it and supersu will ask you for permission, grand it and your ready to delete or to freeze apps.

I had done this all.
I will try it again and post what hapens.
Your version of CF-Auto-root is different (not the same size as) ; so it will perhaps work better.
Thanks
I've done all the " friendly explanation for rooting"
After first auto reboot, Root checker says OK and superSU asks to update but says "problem with update" and ask to reboot.
After second reboot, Root checker says no root ... and SU too ...
What should I do ?

I've unpluged the battery as you said below.
I've uninstalled SuperSU BUT a old version stays installed (how to uninstall all ???).
I've updated (I can only update or open because the old version is always in the phone).
I've rebooted.
Always same message from SuperSU : no root binary installed ...
EDIT : 10h44
After trying your solution one more time again, root returns
THANK YOU !!!
Should I now flash my ROM with Odin Mobile and pre-root option ? Would this fix the problem ???
Or do something else to fix the problem ?
Or install SuperSU in /system as proposed in SuperSU ?
I would leave well alone, knox is a real pain and I wish I had left mine on 4.12 still that's the problem of early adopting...
Same for me : I was under 4.1.2 but after brick and warranty he came back with 4.3
Since this is related to flashing...
Why everytime we wipe data the sdcard0 gets wiped???
I mean, in other phones (oh, my old S Advance!!) I could keep a backup of 4.3 and another of 4.1...
And it feels like I can't keep a backup of them in the sdcard0 since it gets wiped with every system that I need to install (even zip ones!!!)

I rooted with Kingroot.
I used MrW0lf's method of replacing Kinguser with SuperSU.
I made a back up so I could keep the root my system just the way it was after rooting and installing SuperSU and booted with the newly made back up.
I lost root.
I rooted again just as stated above.
I tried uninstalling SU and reinstalling it then re-boot like suggested and lost root anyway.
How can I root and keep root with SuperSU after any reboot or boot ?
Is it possible?

Check my thread in general about, there is a section about xposed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-500/general/how-to-root-install-cwm-twrp-install-t2804938
Basically, what the problem is, you don't have full root. So, there are 2 ways of installing it. Either:
1. Fully root your phone (install custom kernel), then do it again
or
2. Go to the xposed installer->settings->installation-mode and select "Recovery, manual" (or sth alike) Then install it again. It will ask you to reboot the phone into recovery. Once you rebooted your phone into recovery, it should be installed.

Hey guys
I am a beginner and after going through many threads here i finally rooted by xperia z1 C6903 using kingroot.
The phone rooted successfully......even checked by root checker.
The problem is some app does not work properly for example greenify does not hibernate anything.......supersu or super user displays error while installing (asking for reboot) ,,,busy box shows error while installing (choose different location).
can some one help me in assessing that ( is my phone rooted properly),
however king root grants are successful.
phone: xperia z1 telecom de version
os: 4.4.4
14.4.A.0.157
rooted in the same condition without any downgrade

u have to replace the provided su of kingroot into chainfire's SuperSU.
And how can this be done?
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Forums Pro.
flash SuperSU from recovery, it should delete kingroot and install SuperSU on it and then restart, open the app and then update binary normal way.

for your Z1 use Nut's dual recovery, its the best and easy to install and there is lots of instructions available ! you can get the package from nut's website, (http://nut.xperia-files.com/ click XZDualRecovery -> 2.8.20 -> take Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.8.20-RELEASE.installer.zip NOT flashable and download it...
installing SuperSU delete the one you have, you need flashable version wich can be located here https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
then just put it to your sd card and reboot to recovery, from recovery select install zip from sd card, select that supersu file you just put in there and install it, then just reboot and done.
Thank u soo much Migidid bro.....I followed the said procedure and successfully installed dual recivery and supersu, Thanks alot once again, i wanna donate..............love andorid...love sony
Just press thanks button and we're cool

What did you do to install the framework (step by step)? Did you flash the Xposed_sdk21_arm.zip through recovery and install the Xposed_alpha4.apk afterwards? It seems that you have forgotten to install the .apk after you have flashed the .zip file.
BTW: there is a dedicated thread available for Xposed discussion/troubleshooting here.
I flashed the sdk zip file, then encountered a bootloop. Didn't get to install the apk.

to install xposed .. you must download the "xposed-v79-sdk21-arm.zip" and the actual app"XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk"... after you downloaded all that.. Install the actual xposed apk... After it finished the installation do not open et yet....
now boot into recovery(TWRP).. go to wipe/advance wipe/ and wipe cache and dalvik cache.. after that go to mount and mount "system" ..and after that go to install.. and locate the "xposed-v79-sdk21-arm.zip" and swipe to flash.. and after it finished the flashing.. go back to mount and unmount "system".. and then reboot... At first it take to long to boot..just be patient .

Install Xposed APK, but DO NOT OPEN YET. Boot to recovery, flash framework .zip, clear dalvik/cache before booting back to system.

Hey guys dont worry dont ever install twpr recover or anything just keep stock recovery it will brick your device 100% so i am providing a link of xposed installer for that you don't need any flashing nor any custom recover it uses terminal to install the Xposed Framework and it is 100 % secured with lenovo i used it here the link https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758 so after installing apk it will ask for root acess give it root acess and then download the latest framework from app and dont select any other architect or other it will be by default compitable with our device otherwise if you selected other it will 100% brick your device. My promise this is 100% safe if you fallow all the steps i am goona make a tutorial how to install it easily well you guys try it dont worry if device takes time to boot after the intsalling of farework beacuse it will install in your linux kernel or easy way in your android and if you need to uninstall it in the xposed installer there is a removal tool. Ok installing will take 20 sec and first boot after restart will be aproxx 15 min. All the best guys!! Dont forgot to hit dvddroid and me you can also pay to him. Hit this !! If work ?
Hey,
I have the snapchat connection issue and I heard about probleme with xposed framework
My problem is how can I disable it ? or uninstall the framework ?
When I go on the xposed interface > framework, the button uinstall is grey-out.
I also tried to go on recovery, but I don't have the "install from sd card..." to flash the uninstaller script
Should I install a CWM or TWRP thing ? I don't know really how to do, I only did the oneclick root thing a long time ago ( i have the asus zen fone 2
Or there is an other method to disable the framework ^^'

Well, one of the first things mentioned here on XDA related to Xposed for Lollipop is the need for a custom recovery How did you manage to install the framework if you have no "install from SD card" within your recovery? If there is a custom recovery available for your device, flash it (TWRP recommended, tutorials available on Google or XDA).
You could have searched for "snapchat xposed" or "disable xposed" and would have found those threads.

I forgot how I did lol, it was some months ago
But i think it was with an install script on windows
Edit: yea I justfind the tut, it was with adb (method2 here)
Ok so if there is no other method I will try to intall the TWRP but I remember there were risks of bricks :S

Sure, if you don't follow the instructions for the installation of TWRP, there is a risk of bricking your device But it is rather easy as step-by-step instructions are available.
