Hi there.
I bought my Htc One m7 black color at moscow , Russia last August 1, 2014.
It has 32 gb LTE and 4.3 with sense 5.5
Serial number is FA419W9.... What this means ? Manufactured in ? Date ? Please help me
I want to update the version into sense 6 of 4.4.2, ive tried it many times but it cant, it doesnt,
Is this the rule when you buy a new HTc one that would take 45 days or less to get an update ? Why ?
You have to look up what software version write it down what network version or SIM free etc and see what country it's manufactured for , write them all down and then you can download from here, but double check everything and side load it on your phone , I got 2 one SIM free Asian other European SIM free had to side load Asian one ?

Check out this site SNDeepInfo to decode your serial number or imei. Depending on your CID & MID and your carrier dictates when updates are made. GPe and DevEd phones generally get the updates first, then closely followed by Int'l (HTC__001) phones. That is because these come from HTC directly and are not influenced by carrier timing.

Friends who have bought an Official Diamond from HTC outlets, please let me know which ROM version is being sold, as worry is the UK stock was supposedly witheld for a ROM update.. Are we getting updated ROM or not??
Also mention the RAM and ROM reads from Indian versions..
look at the diamond rom section here. There are 1.34 and 1.35 rom updates posted. The latest rom anyone has seems to be 1.37 - i expect it will be posted soon.
Thanks someone1234, but i raised the question because the Indian Version is going to be different - Non 3G version, hence the ROM versions may be different...
Hey does it mean no one's as yet bought a diamond in India???
Is official sale in India started or not???
safe to say that...
ppl that claim they have bought have yet to respond and claim from where and source...
so probably no one has it yet
Diamond In India ! Yipee !
I got the diamond yesterday in India for 35k that is about 900USD. It is not official, does not come with a warranty. Seems like a HK version piece to me. The ROM version is 1.35 WWE, Date 05/28/08 - Since I got it I have run advanced config on it and tweaked it by increasing cache size. It is noticably faster now.

from where? and what city are you in ?
The Indian Diamond is supposed to launch on the 27th of June afaik.
Its different from the EU versions, uses the MSM7206A processor with no 3G radio
HTC India
the processor on my instrument is Qualcomm 7201A and I have upgraded to ROM version 1.37 WWE. This device also has 3G, I am guessing the official indian version might not. I am located in Delhi and bought it from a dealer here.
Thats not the offical version then.
id rather have the one with 3g than without
I bought my 3G Diamond here in Delhi for 35 Grand its HK version i think and paying 25000/- for non 3g one ...i think 35000 is a good deal.
same here soulpilot, good to have 3G should be getting launched in India in the next9-12 months anyway
Guys, any other difference (other than 3G) between the processors MSM7201A (Worldwide) & MSM7206A (Indian) ??
Not as far as I know. Only difference in the Radio implementation.
One major negative in buying the 3G in India is most HTC service centers will refuse to even touch your phone if theres any problem with it due to the incompatible processors. Some might oblige but most wont. Taken my singapore HTC to the service center the other day for a panel switch and was talking to the service guys about it. He said most of the service centers wont touch any of the 3G diamonds.
i hope the cooked roms work equally well for the indian version as well.

I am thinking to order HTC One Dev Edition from the HTC website. I am actually not interested in Dev model I just want 64GB variant so I gave a thot for this model. I never do any flashing on my phone, I just use as a normal user. I want to know few things about it :
1: Will there be a restriction on any 3rd party applications I install ?
2: Will it have any problem with the networks in Middle East ( Saudi Arabia )
3: What is difference between the dev edition and a normal one.
I would really appreciate if any one can suggest me. The phone will be available in local markets on 1st of may here priced at around 700$ for 32GB where as HTC is offering the 64GB Dev Edition for 649.99 $. Following is the link :

1) No restrictions at all unless you do some hacking and install some Saudi Arabia roms then and only then I could imagine thats where the restrictions come into play.
2) I dont know, youll have to see what frequencies your network provider supports
3) Nothing is different besides the fact one lets comes with no restrictions (ISNT sim locked, bootloader locked, OTA locked, etc ) and the other well is the exact opposite

I wouldn't see why not as many manufacturers like apple and Samsung have global warranties.
Btw, I would strongly advise you to get the www.squaretrade.com equivalent insurance in your country unless it's available there too

I very much like idea getting the Dev Edition which is unlocked and with 64GB onboard memory..
But it's mentioned there re LTE support - LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US)
Is there any chance to get this Dev Edition handheld working on 2600 Mhz LTE frequency (Dubai - Etisalat carrier) by flashing different radio/kernel or something like that?
Or it is completely hard-coded and fully defined by the hardware, and hence no chance to alter those frequencies by the software means?
Thank you.
As the title says, i want to buy a htc one in austrlia (i'm going there next month). I found out that i can buy two different models, the 801s or the 801e, but online i haven't found anything about. what are the differences, and i'm going to have problems when i'll come back in italy with the htc one?
I bought through mobileciti.au a 801s for 700AUD and I am using it in Europe with no problems (2g, 3g and 4g) so I think it will all be fine if you get that model. And I have a perfect phone (no red tint, no gaps or anything). Hope that helps. :good:
I need some help guys i bought a camera for my htc one m7 from aliexpress that according to the seller was compatible with my phone to solve the pink camera issue and the seller says that the camera is not working on my cellphone (htc one m7 801n) because it did not come with android 4.3 but according to the links that i will put on the comments no camera module for the m7 that he is selling (801e, 801n, 801s, 802t, 802d, 802w) comes with android 4.3 straight out of the box .
So i need to know did they release m7s with android 4.3 and it wasnt widely reported or the seller just does not want to give me my refund, because i think that the camera got damaged during transportation.
links
Sorry i cant put the links on the comments also,i though it was possible

I might be wrong, but I don't think the software on the phone would effect it. I don't know if any of the M7s have been shipped with 4.3 on board, I bought a second M7 back in 2014 February and it was also shipped with the original software, 4.1.2? if I remember well.
Just bought an at&t 64gb note 5 here in the UK, lovely phone, just reading that at&t won't be updating to Android 7, but the Asian Australian etc versions will be getting it early in the new year. Have I got this all wrong or can I flash another rom...cheers

Mine isn't. Nothing other than Samsung branding on case or load up
Did you get anywhere on your original question? I'm trying to see whether I can update to MM (or N in the future) - but I have small balls for this sort of stuff. My phone works, makes calls, gets data (although always shows as on 4G when it obviously isn't) - but looks like it's some weird mongrel of a USA / CHN / HK build. Just about to request help & guidance
