CSC Selection for SM-G935F/FD/K/L/S/W8 devices
Both Android Versions (MM/N/O) are supported, make sure to download the right one!
What is this for?
CSC stands for Country Specific Code, so every single country (and even different providers in one country) have different codes, for csc features, wallpapers, sounds etc. So it is quit important to have the right csc file on your phone for your provider (so you can have all features which comes with your provider (like wifi calling)).
You may ask yourself now, where can this be flashed on? Basically on every stock based rom, as well as on stock roms (who are rooted of course). So: root and a recovery (custom) are required!
Your current country is not listed below? Send me your stock csc file from sammobile.com (SM-G935F variant) and I will add it!

If I flash my carriers csc will I get a stronger signal? Sometimes I only have 1 bar in the city which is wierd
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Hi, first of all thank you for doing this!
Second, my question is for the Multi-CSC files, how do you choose the CSC after flashing? For me I need XSP which it says is contained in THL. When I flashed the zip I selected THL and when the phone rebooted I didn't see any messages. Is my phone XSP now or is there something else I need to change?

Will the N960F have the same firmware as the FD Dual hybrid version? I presume the note 8 was this way
Samsung direct UK is only selling the dual SIM with carriers selling the single sim version. Will need to flash carrier ROM to enable VoLTE.
Thanks,
Ok so I got my Note 9 today. Single Sim in the UK and I cannot get into Download Mode. The buttons no longer work in the same sequence as the Note 8 and other samsungs! Any ideas?

Hi, im thinking of buying direct from Samsung UK for the dual sim. Just wondering if the dual sim and single sim versions use the same firmware as I'll need to rebrand to Vodafone UK for Volte to work. Thanks in advance.
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
What would the CSC be for USA? I've been searching around and for some reason I can't find my answer.
Thanks in advance for anyone that knows this and is willing to share the info.

The USA won't get the international SM-N960F model, so it's not relevant for this thread...
- same firmware for single and dual sim
- pit file is in CSC_N960......tar.md5 so you dont need to add it with ODIN

CROWNQLTE_USA_SINGLE.pit And volte and such will work?
N9600 is not N960U so you can try but at your own risk of failed or blocked device

appart from screen shots and describing contents of certain folders, what is the goal of this thread? there are no links to firmware or anything. nor is it explaining anything towards accomplishing a certain action. i fail to see the usefulness of post contents .
what are we supposed to understand?

csc should be in odm.img.lz4 right?
so for one to change their csc as before they could convert and extract contents of that image and copy to phone and set correct permissions right?( using:
https://1drv.ms/f/s!AhXVLDDj8g3AgdJZvVHcXqqlKgy0dg odm.img.lz4 should be converted with lz4.exe and then the output img extracted with imgextractor.exe)
my point was why nothing is said about acctualy changing csc.( this is probably what people would like to know, this was what i expected from this thread at least)
theoretically like before, if you are rooted but on a exynos note 9 this time, one could change their csc by extracting from any exynos or even snapdragon firmware the csc files. before csc packs were flashable i would extract from a canadian firmware my required carriers csc files and paste them in my system/omc folder on my korean note 8 and apply original permissions.
from what i can gather now, its simply named odm instead of omc right?
yes CSC are in odm.img.lz4 ( like you can see in post 1 )
i have not tested your tools , and maybe you can extract N960 odm.img.lz4 with them , but not all Samsung CSC
like i extract plenty of other files ( .img . nb0 .sin .ext4 .dat .lz4 .bin .ta r.gz .dat ..dat.br , i have made my own batch extractor
Samsung CSC are not attach to exynos or snapdragon , but N950 CSC are differents than N960 CSC
now if you want to play , with your rooted device , it's your own risk and you can try to extract N850W omc and copy them to your N950N
from what i can gather now, its simply named odm instead of omc right?
no N960W odm have more folders than N950W omc
I'm a bit confused by this thread. Is this suggesting that you can extract a CSC from a firmware image for any Galaxy Note 9 (doesn't matter what region or if it's Snapdragon or Exynos) and flash that CSC your Galaxy Note 9 even if your Note 9 has firmware that wouldn't have had that CSC as something selectable in the image? CSCs can be taken from any image and put into any image, regardless of region, Snapdragon/Exynos, etc so long as it's still a Galaxy Note 9?
I'm trying to get Samsung Pay to work on a Korean Note 9 and I gathered that taking a US CSC file and putting it in the image may work based upon what I've read in this thread. Am I misunderstanding this?
yes , i extract all device Samsung CSC ( since GT-I900 to SM-N960 ) , but like it's written in post 1 , CSC is mount in executable and file is signed , so if your device is not rooted you can't flash extracted CSC
i have a sm n960u1 usa unlocked note 9.
i believe the bootloader is locked.
is there a way i could flash att stock firmware into my phone?

Thanks! It sounds like I need to attempt to root and see if I can hide root with Magisk so I can try your CSC files if I want this to work. Otherwise, I was thinking of flashing an Exynos firmware from another region (like UK or something) IF it allows Samsung Pay in the US with the bundled CSC.
In any case, thanks for all of the work you put into CSC aggregation and how to flash it.
Much appreciated!
@nycalex
if your device is N960U1 and if your carrier is AT&T you dont need to change the firmware :
try this :
save all your data
- Power off the device
- remove the sim tray.
- Go to recovery , HOLD home ( or bixby button ) + Volume up together , and power up
- In recovery , chose factory reset .. This will give a warning and then reset everything
- Choose power off , in the recovery and insert sim tray .. you should do this before booting up as your CSC will be configured when you will start
- Power on the phone , wait and . then chose restart to system now when asked
- wait and after reboot , your CSC have change according the sim tray

n9600 with root and tmobile dsc?
Hello,
I have a similar question about swapping CSC's. If I have a phone with unlocked boot-loader (N9600- Snapdragon), could this be flashed to the CSC tmobile version and still maintain root? I apologize if the answer should be clear from the first post.
Thank you,

Thank you yakapa40,
I will try this when I can get a phone. Still have a V20 LG, but would like to get the Note 9, if root is possible on SD845. I will miss a few bands for TMobile, but worth it for an unlocked phone . I think the N9600 is my only option.
