I did but I forgot where I downloaded it from, for some reason it wouldn't let me update, in both the stock recovery and CWM. I just ended up installing the Steel Droid ROM.

if you still have your droid and its the a855 then i have an SBF file if you want to return it to stock.

this was downloaded from cspire over the air.
it is rootable using DooMLoRD_v3_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip
this has been reported to be an SBF alternative (well. kind of anyhow) for C Spire users. rename the file update.zip, copy to sdcard and flash from recovery.

wow... glad you posted... what ver of CWM are you using, and you said that you CAN go back to 2.3.5 using the OTA update renamed update.zip?
I use cwm 2.5.0.6 that came with Droid X Bootstrapper. Don't update it from the app though using the flash for droid x, it will mess up the recovery.
And yes you can go back to 2.3.5 ota...

what recovery are you using?
EDIT: it looks like you said that you are using the stock recovery, pretty sure that the described method requires that you have the droid x bootstrap with cwm installed.
Thanks for the reply so after flashing this from cwm the phone will be back to stock if i understand correct stock recovery no root stock rom just like out of the box.
This is my first motorola since the original razr so i dont want to mess it up since i just got it
According to brikster it should work from stock recovery maybe
a bad download?

you're welcome!
I was thinking (scary i know) could it be because im already on 235
and it checks to see if im all ready on the update maybe it would work if i had cm or another rom flashed
Sent from my Milestone X using XDA App
I picked mine up this week and they're shipping with 235 now.
So, I downloaded the Droid X bootstrapper from the market as well as CWM, but made sure not to flash over the bootstrap recovery. Every time I boot into the recovery now, all it shows is a blank black screen. Any ideas?

The easiest way to update to honeycomb is to go to the xda wiki, head to the Dell Streak 7 section, find the appropriate update package, download it, rename it to "update.pkg" and place it on your sd card.
Then reboot your tablet, pressing Volume Up and Power, and selection option 2 which is to install a package and let it do its work.
Ok I downloaded the latest version renamed it update.pkg when I rebooted and tried to click on update from update.pkg it brings me to recovery in says install from zip.or upate.wipe cache.etc.

Look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Dell_Streak_7#Official as there seems to be a recovery download link for 2.2(336). That should give you a stock recovery from which you can install that "Update.pkg".

From Fastboot type: Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If you haven't used Fastboot before you need to search, read and install drivers then.
Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411193

Got to poke around in that zip for the proper drivers. You may have to NVflash back to 2.2 now to fix whatever happened. Look here for three videos from giveen on how to NVflash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydM7qkoCs00. Look here for files you'll need: http://d-h.st/users/TheManii. Your looking for a "Restore to 2.2.rar" file. Root with SuperUser7 later when you need too.

Hello
I came across this website htconeroot.com
And i rooted my HTC One, it worked perfect, but I couldn't install BusyBox, so I looked it up and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236849
But first after I tried it I found out it was for sprint, and mine is not..
So it seems that it have deleted all data in the system folder of my phone and I forgot to take a backup of my rom..
So I wanted to hear if any of you knew a trick to reset my phone or anything to save it?
Thanks

[Q] Parse error help

Hello everyone,
I have a rooted Motorola Droid, running Android version 2.2. I downloaded a .APK file, and whenever I try to install it, it gives me a message saying "Parse error." This is a .APK that has worked on all my previous rooted phones, does anyone know how to fix this? By the way, I've already enabled unknown sources.

If you're installing from the SD Card using a file manager, maybe try redownloading. If the same apk installs on a later android version then it mean it's not available for Android 2.2.
You could try installing a custom rom. There's not many to choose from but they work.

Can't install stock firmware...odin keeps failing

Okay guys, I just got a brand new tmobile note 4. Tried rooting it but something went wrong...
Didnt make a backup either so hopefully you guys can help me.
I installed twrp successfully...but after installing supersu...kept getting the boot loop.
Decided to give up rooting and go back to stock.
Downloaded the latest 5.0.1 stock firmware for my phone but after running it through odin, it keeps failing.
I don't know what to do.
I didn't hard brick it since i can still boot into download mode and twrp recovery. But i already wiped system so i don't have any OS on it now.
Should i just chance it and try and send it back to tmobile for a replacement?
Any feedback would be much appreciated!
Well, atleast you could find the firmware. -- I cant find it anywhere for my n910t3.

I just realized that i've been downloading the wrong firmware for my phone. i have the same model number as you. i just did a search and found a firmware for our phone model but it takes 3 hours to download. I will update in the morning when it's done downloading.
Since i can't post outside links yet, just google "SM-N910T3" and look for the firmware in the results, that's how i found it.
I have downloaded a firmware that I want to use it for my galaxy s5 with unknown baseband, and I will try it I hope it will work
