Unknown Notification Sound - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I wanted to post this information since I’ve searched online for hours and could not find the answer: My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 began giving me a notification sound, but the notification bar never showed the app that was sounding the notification. It would start every time I restarted the phone and would go on for at least 2 hours and then just stop. My default notification would beep and beep at a REGULAR interval and the notification bar would always be empty; it was frustrating and annoying. After trying notification monitoring apps, turning off various apps notifications and uninstalling apps, I finally found the culprit. I turned off the Accessibility Notification Reminder and the problem was resolved.
Settings -> Device -> Accessibility -> Notification Reminder.

Repeated notification sound, how to turn off

Hey guys,
Just bought my new tab s2 and I've been noticing that every time I get a notification it will repeatedly make the notification sound until I dismiss the notification... Is this normal behaviour or is there a Way to stop this?
Greetings
Have you looked in the message app settings?
i did, but it turned out to be a setting in settings -> personal -> input assistant -> notification reminder, so if anybody else is wondering here you go, thanks anyway

Problem with Heads-Up notifications

Edit: think I discovered this is not just a note 8 issue, how do I delete this thread?
I'm not getting most heads up notifications on my T-Mobile Note 8. Notifications just appear in the notification drawer. I do get the sound/vibration though
Some apps are working reliably (hangouts, ring), others are not (outlook, inbox). Those are the easiest for me to test, so I haven't looked much into others.
I uninstalled pebble and android wear just in case those were interfering. I've rebooted a million times. Turned off everything with notification access just in case.
I turned off the edge light feature, just in case. No change. Also turned it on for everything, the screen doesn't edge light for outlook or inbox.
Any settings that might have been enabled/disabled accidentally?
also, tried resetting app preferences from advanced notification settings, no luck
Any thoughts?
edit: i'm seeing this in my logs but not entirely sure it's related
"09-28 13:57:55.567 1188-1188/? E/NotificationService: Suppressing notification from package by user request."
Also, tried disabling, then enabling those apps notifications
Wiped my phone and installed inbox and outlook, they still don't show notifications in a popup. they make their sound/vibe and appear in the drawer, but still dont show up as a headsup notification so I get no altert if If i have my phone on silent.

Notification prefernces overridden by app

Hello guys. I'm new on this brilliant device.
I am trying to receive only icon notification on the status bar for the telegram app. I go in the notification preferences of the phone and set everything as it should but as soon as I receive a telegram message the settings I had selected are overridden and I am back to scratch. I am trying to get rid of pop up banner notifications and lockscreen notifications but I can't manage to achieve my goal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Same thing for me, i think the phone is not saving settings for notifications and after 12-24 hours (even without reboot) these settings revert back to default... (especially the pop-up one)
I'm having the same issue with Kik Messenger. Turn some notification settings off and 12 or so hours later they are all back on. Really annoying.
I'm having the same with some apps. For instance, Yahoo Mail app keeps turning vibrate on even though I keep turning it off.

Notification sound with no notification

I keep getting a notification sound at random intervals but there is no notification. I have tried disabling NFC and notification reminders per googles suggestions but that hasn't helped. I downloaded Notification Log History but it only shows actual notifications I am receiving not the ones I don't see. Any ideas?
I got those sounds until I turned off Notification Reminder.
You can have notifications turned on, but turn off the reminder.
Ok I finally figured it out. I had notifications disabled for 115 out of 132 of my apps through the settings menu. I went back, enabled all notifications to see what was going off all the time. Turns out I was getting numerous alerts from Tapatalk and Slickdeals. I went into both apps and disabled notifications through the actual app settings and my issues went away. Not sure why the apps override what I'm doing in the phone settings but they were. Hopefully in the future this helps others. In short, enable all apps in the phone settings and see what's notifying you. Go into those apps and disable notifications within the app.

Led notification Problem Mi 8

Hi guys, i have a notification problem with mi 8..the LED works on 70% of the notifications but 30% does not let me see, I noticed that there is a connection between many notifications and few, when I receive maximum 2/3 most of the time the LED lights up, while I get more than 3 starts not to light up anymore ... it's not always like that, but for many times yes. Obviously I also tried the wipe cache and dalvik, but nothing...same issue with 10.0.6 and last 8.10.25 (xiaomi.eu). On application settings and led notification setting is all "ON", no power saving in these apps. Anyone can help me?
Update:
After several tests I found that the same problem is repeated for the vibration when notifications are received, sometimes it vibrates sometimes not.

I think you are having your first encounter with MIUI's default features. Go to Settings > Installed apps, select the app or apps for which you want to "fix" the notifications for and tap Notifications. From here, select the feature or features you want to receive notification for and how to receive them (Notification light, vibration, etc). When I say features for this, well every app has it's own set of different components to notify you of. For example, Facebook has several options to choose, lets say you only want vibrations and LED for comments and friend requests, you can set those to only provide the notification light or vibrations when you receive them. Gmail on the other hand has few options relating to the types of notifications you receive (since obviously it's only related to email and there are no comments or friend requests on it). Each app has it's own set and you can control what or how you get notifications. If you are still seeing that you are not getting notifications on time or so on, then the default power saving feature may also need adjusting. Go to Settings > Battery & performance > Choose apps and select the app or apps you want to "fix" the notifications for and select the option called "No restrictions". The default setting is useful for saving power, but this also stops certain apps from displaying notifications as soon as you get them (there is a delay which I still don't know if it is random or if it is every hour, few hours or so). Not all apps abuse your battery, but of course some do, such as Facebook which can be annoying if you receive lots of comments, uodates, etc.

es, the problem is that I have already set all this that you tell me, but many times loses the LED notifications / vibration too often. Could you make me a screen of the notifications app installed section of ex. whatsapp (which I always use) so I copy preferences? maybe there are conflicts, if you activate one thing the other does not work well etc. otherwise I do not know what to think ..
