Hello folks. Today I managed to S-OFF my HTC One using firewater on CyanogenMod 11 from April, but now I have a problem... I can't update to the newer CM11 nor install any other ROM because it gives me an error in TWRP. I tried installing ParanoidAndroid to see if it works but the same After this I tried to install MIUI 4.8.8 and it gave me this error in TWRP:
assert failed: getprop ("ro.product.device") ==
getprop ("ro.build.product") == "m7"
E:Error executing updater binary in zip
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/xiaomi.eu_multi_m7_
Updating partition details...
I don't know what to do... Can you please help me? :crying:

I flashed CWM instead of TWRP and it works like a charm :cyclops:

newer CM roms must be flashed with twrp 2.7.1.1 and other sense roms with 2.6.3.3

When upgrading from cm-recovery 1.4 when I select signed-dream_devphone_userdebug-ota-14721.zip after verifying package it tries install but I get this error
Installing update...
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "dream" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "dream"

Did you check the MD5sum to see if it was a complete download?

you can follow this to resolve the problem...
1.update your cm-recovery.img
download (for G1,for G2 32A)
2.
To install image: copy it to your sdcard and run:
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/cm-recovery-1.4.img
or
fastboot flash recovery cm-recovery-1.4.img (must download fastboot first,and run it in cmd of pc)
3.then you can apply the update.zip

You have to have cyan's 1.4 recovery to flash it. if you have amonra or an older cm recovery, it will not work. follow wellbug's instructions
if you would like to use amonra's recovery, you can reflash it once cyan is installed
Hi, I wanted to root my T-Mobile G1. Well I was do everything but i can't flash radio (2.22.19.26I)... i tried to flash it from AMON_RA Recovery 1.70

I got the newest Clockworkmod.
It says:

Are you using Paul's old 3.0.1.4 recovery? If so update to 3.0.2.8 via ROM Manager.
I said i got the newest, its 3.0.2.8 i guess.

Hi everyone, Im new on this forum.
Im experiencing more or less the same problem.
Issues with Installing CM9 (ICS) Paranoid Andriod and WIUI v4 (ICS)
below a list of the phone's info/specs:
Phone: LG P990
Android Version: 2.3.4.
Basebandversion: 1035.21_20110725
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Build: GRJ23
LGE version: LGP990-V20r
I have rooted my phone using SuperOneClick v2.3.3.0, my phone was rooted succesfull, after that I gained superuser access to my phone. Checked it by downloading Root Checker Basic, which was also positive.
Downloaded Rom manager with CWM v5.0.2.0, made a recovery flash having the same version. I manually rebooted my phone, followed several
tutorials doing the full wipe, clearing cache partition and wiping Dalvik Cache. After that I selected 'choose zip from interal sdcard'
As soon as I select my zip the following happens:
-- Installing /emmc/ROM/WIUI_v4_S2_2_8_10.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
E:Error in /emmc/ROM/WIUI_v4_S2_2_8_10.zip
(status 0)
Installation aborted.

I disabled the assert test at recovery menu (CWM ver 5.x.x) and was able to install, but I encountered this problem when I was flashing Slim ICS 2.9. I think may be this zip is not "signed".
I've been running verygreen's CM on my nook for a while now and wanted to try CarbonRom; however, I ran into an error and thought I bricked my device as it would no longer boot and wouldn't flash the latest CM ROM either. Restoring to a backup worked though so I then tried seeing what the latest version of the OS would work. I was able to install both the 7/16 version of CM and the 7/10 (B8) version of CarbonRom but any later and it would give me an error:
set_perm: some changes failed
(Status 7)
set_perm: chown of /system/bin/netcfg to 0 3003 failed
set_perm: chmod of /system/bin/netcfg to 2750 failed
I appreciate any assistance you can provide for this issue.

I'm also getting this error message from 7/19 and I'm having problems getting it too boot once its failed. Just goes to a black screen.

Carbonrom B11 (7/23) seemed to work so maybe the next CM 10.1 update will also work.
