I don't know if anyone realized that when you are making video calls or voice calls on fring if you plug your headset (samsung headset with mic) other side can't hear you. Your mic stops working. It has to switch to the mic on the headset but instead none of the mics are working (on phone and on headset). If I remove the headset it works again with phone mic.
I also put regular headphones (without mic) instead of samsung's and it works.do you know how to make it work with headphones with mic? Does anyone having the same issue? I always carry samsung's headphones so I wanna make it work with it.
Thanks

Is it possible to have the phone output sound through auxiliary for phone calls if the attached aux does not have a mic. For example if I plug it into my car speakers, or if I wear headphones not made with a mic. I'm not sure if its just a problem with my phone that doesnt allow this, it shows the headphone icon yet for phone calls it still outputs through the earpiece. Calls output fine if I use a earbud that has a built in mic.
This has been an minor annoyance since I got the phone a year ago and I've been hoping after all the updates they would finally fix it.
Hi,
From yesterday I am not getting any sound through earpiece and headphone, speaker phone and bluetooth working fine though. Could it be a software problem or a hardware problem? All other functions working perfectly.

So, I had my screen replaced by the motorola service people and a while after that I found out that if I'm using headphones with or without an in-line mic, the person who I'm speaking to can't hear my voice. Also, the button on the in-line mic won't work at all. It won't accept calls and won't play/pause my music either. I've tested this with multiple earphones and the issue persists through all the tests. I managed to fix the sound issue by changing the TTY setting to VCO but still no button functionality. Will changing my headphone jack fix this problem or is this an issue with the motherboard. Don't really wanna spend $100 on a new motherboard. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Sounds like a problem with the connections to the headphone jack. Did the service folks cause this?
Recently bought Bluetooth headphones works fine with audio recieving, but mic doesn't work, while call or any app or even audio recorder. Phone audio is enabled in Bluetooth settings of paired headphones, but mic still ain't working. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Mine isn't working in general after the march 1 update. I tried bluetooth, wired microphone and the phone microphone.
Mine is working. Both phone mic and wired headphones. Only for the headphone 3.5mm jack i have to turn the other way round to make it work. Only one side of the usb type c is working. Charging all is ok. That's it. This is after the march 1 update.
