Maybe BubblePnp. Dont know if it works without router network, maybe you can connect to your smart tv directly by dnla to stream pics and vids.

What does everyone think about YouTube videos on the HD7?? It looks terrible to me. Thoughts anyone???
Yeah unless on WiFi it sucks big time. I hope they either update or hack it to go HQ on 3g.
seems to depend on my connection quality, on a friend's inexpensive connection it looked like it does on an edge connection, on some 3g towers it seems the same as it does on home wifi, and on edge it looks like mud

No, on all 3G towers it looks like crap. You have to be on WiFi for a decent looking picture right now. Really crappy.
Where to get Youtube

Yes, I downloaded the YouTube app from the Marketplace. The app then allows you to watch YouTube videos from Internet Explorer.
basically its not an app at all and is just a link to your browser, very unimaginative stuff
anyone any ideas on being able to use other browers?? Or any talk of an update
ANYONE???

No, it actually installs the codecs and whatnot so you can view YouTube videos from your browser, so it does do more than just install a browser link.
No clue when any updates to fix the YouTube quality are coming, hopefully soon!
Hi everyone
I've been the happy owner of an O4X for a month or so, and today my wife bought an Samsung galaxy S3 and I thought I would try out some NFC transferring. Transferring contacts between the phones works fine, but when I tried transferring images through the gallery, it couldn't. When both phones are in the gallery, and they are put back-to-back, the GS3 prompts to tap the screen to transfer the image. When I try that, the O4X just opens a notification stating that a new NFC tag was found. Also, the O4X does not have the options to transfer images from the gallery.
So I suspect that one of the following to be the barrier; either the O4X doesn't support image transferring at all, or the gallery app on O4X doesn't support image transferring (via NFC of course).
I'm all new to this NFC thing (as most properly are ), so does anyone have some inputs to this subject? I'm hoping it could be solved, simply by installing another gallery app.
Best regards,
Morten Jensen
Well, after doing some research, I found out that file transfer isn't supported until JB. The S3 does have S beam which allows file transfer over wifi though.

Hi,
What is jb stands for?
Also we have both lg 4x and sgs3, and i tried a lot to send a file using wifi direct, but i couldnt accept any file from lg4x. It is also interesting that lg4x does nort share file via wifidirect but sgs3 does at least.

JB stands for Jelly Bean, which is the codename for the newest Android version (4.1). I guess that LG and Samsung solved the problem in to different ways, which isn't compatible.
Is NFC useless?

So in reality NFC is useless.
Great, thought it was a standard!
NFC to pair, bluetooth to send over the pics. But aparantly Samsung uses wifi as transfer medium instead of bluetooth. Has anyone tried with a Nokia 701/C7-00/808 which uses the standard NFC-to-pair-BT-to-send mechanism? Or another 4XHD? Or any other (non Samsung) Android device with NFC?
If it ONLY can be used with these lousy stickers then it's just useless crap.

Well Sending links and Youtube Videos is quite cool.
Also I guess there is a way how it's implemented in AOSP so that's standard then. Just wait untill everybody got cyanogenmod...
Very useful here for us, Octopus is a debit card (with auto topup capability at your choice) to do small amount transactions under US$30 each time which can be used with public transport, supermarkets, fast food shops, parking,.....................

In LG we can download Wi Fi cast App from LG world by this we can transfer files through Wi-Fi.
@NFC
The maximum data transfer rate of NFC is 424 kbit/s. It will take so much time to transfer big files...

Hello
I just bought a Chromecast, and how amazed I was by it, my dad found it amazing as well. He wants to see arabic and kurdish tv shows live, but I have not come up with an app that not only streams them, but it doesn't gives me a opportunity to either use chromecast, or use a external player ( where I would pick localcast)
It would mean the world to me if you could help. And Yes I have searched and searched without luck :/
EDIT: I should mention I am using a t HTC one X
kurdish? wtf kurdish is NOT a language serefsizler.

Screen mirroring will work as long as you are using a KitKat ROM and Mirror Enabler installed (needs root). The latest version of the Chromecast is supposed to have experimental screen mirroring for ALL KitKat devices, but I haven't tried this out personally. Performance of the mirroring will depend mostly on your connection speed.
Personally, I hardly ever use the screen mirroring, it just feels clunky. It's much better if the app you're using supports Chromecast.

Sorry for the late reply. I personally haven't tried it, but you should be able to send your videos to Chromecast using AllCast - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.cast&hl=en
Hello everyone, I have a Motorola Moto XT1052 and I'm looking to use the screen cast option for mirroring to any TV through casting HDMI dongles. But I can't find the right one. Did anyone find and used anything for this cell phone?
Which one works the best: Google Chromecast? EZ Cast or any other dongle?
Can someone help me?

Hi,
I have stock lollipop and I use Goggle Chromecast. It works very fine.
I also cast with a Wi-Fi Samsung TV. For this I use #MirrorEnabler v1.6. You can find .apk from the web.
I hope this help.

However this is the wrong place to ask this, this post should be moved to Q&A section.
