I got a Mi3 today and the camera is not working
It takes a photo and the image appears in the little circle to the left of the shoot button.
The problem arises when i click on the camera roll, nothing happens and no images are stored in the gallery.

MIUI Version MIUI 4.3.14
Has anyone a solution?

Your android version is really old (March). You should update. There are threads here on how to do that.

You really don't like to read, do you? You would have found answers here on xda for all those questions.

China rom has a developer version.

____Update 12/01____
Since a couple of days we now have v 9.1.2.0. I haven't noticed any differences yet, but the wallpaper carousel is functioning again. They also implemented fixes for problems that I personally did not encounter. ...aaand the notifications are slightly improved! Some of them evene expand and allow for direct interaction. Breathtaking development.
Get it while it's fresh on en.miui.com.
Should you not be rooted, I can recommend installing it via XiaoMiTool. I used this to flash the last MIUI 8 Global Stable, and then got 9.1.1.0 and now 9.1.2.0 via OTA. I've read that for some people here fast charging isn't working on th 9-er Firmwares. I have had no problem with that at all. Maybe it's because you guys are rooted, or because system wasn't flashed properly? I don't know, but I feel with you...
____Update 11/16____
The MIUI9 release has since been officially announced. This XDA article sheds some light on the release. However, as of today, the ROM is still not available for download on en.miui.com.
If you don't feel like waiting for OTA hitting you, shadowxaero has provided a link to download 9.1.1.0 (NDEMIEI) in post #7.
To enable VOLTE in presumably every MIUI realease, KevinLuong has shared a great link to an explanation including an easy fix in post #2.
Update 11/17
The Firmware is officially available on en.miui.com now. Should you not be rooted, consider installing it via XiaoMiTool, which will let you chose and download the Firmware within the programs flashing dialogue (give that man a beer).
_____initial post_____
..but there is no mention of it anywhere (yet). Why is that?
It's Version 9.1.1.0 (NDEMIEI). Got it OTA on Friday night, but it isn't even yet listed on the official site. Whats up with that?
Everything seems to run great, except that VOLTE can not be activated, which I find a little weird for a stable release. Oh, and notfications are still not up to scratch in MIUI 9, which is the single most annoying thing about MIUI.
Anyone else on this ROM? Maybe with tips, tricks, htoughts or insights?

It's a nightly preview pushed to some users.

Hmm. Why would they do that? I'm not even participating in the user feedback program (at least not willingly ). Usually the nightlys they push out clearly state that they are nightlys, don't they? I saw this with the Mi 6 when it got v 9.0.1.0. In this case on Mix 2 the ROM clearly states "stable" though.
Well, I don't want to complain. I feel special now. :victory:

Yes, I had Global Stable (v8.5.1.0).
It's a global stable beta (stable beta = what exactly??) according to the miui forums. There was an announcement about it. I put a link to the download in the reverse engineering thread.
I haven't actually tried it yet but I would be interested to know if it passes safetynet, I guess.

A user provided that link on the MIUI forums. I haven't flashed it yet and I believe you need to be on the MIUI8 Stable ROM in order to flash this.

You can flash it with fastboot, but you have to convert the system to a system.img in order to do so.

I used sdat2img.py
https://github.com/xpirt/sdat2img
Use that to make a system.img, flash that with fastboot.
Then flash all of the other partitions with fastboot from the unpacked zip, following the pattern of the Xiaomi fastboot updates so you know which thing needs to be flashed to what.
Kind of difficult to explain and probably not worth putting together a whole tutorial, but that's how you do it.
this build passes safetynet with Magisk 14. I also installed this over Epic rom and not over v8 stable.. works fine anyways. I did format userdata and cache from fastboot before i flashed.

Try disabling VoLTE carrier check with *#*#86583*#*# That did it for me. Make sure the little pop-up screen says disabled
No notification update no fun

This will most likely not work coming from the developer ROM, but try the regular manual update method:
Download the ROM and copy it to your device. Then go to settings > About Phone > System Update and chose your update package from the extended menu (three dots, top right).
Should the regular method not work, and should your device not be unlocked/rooted, then simply use the XiaoMiTool. If you follow the instructions this program works really really well, so consider donating that guy a beer or two.

I'm in the same position
Hi guys,
If you installed the Official MIUI 9.1 Stable can you please report on battery life ?
Regards.
and I have to re select my wallpaper. Anyone else see this?
I experienced this issue back in MIUI8 when setting wallpaper via Nova Launcher. If I set it via Settings, it worked as expected. Eventually it stopped happening, I don't know if it has to do with Nova updates or with Xiaomi OTA updates. All I know is that it stopped happening around the time I got the MIUI9 update.
Thanks for the feedback. I have been setting mine in settings all along and its' done this consistently from day 1, both on MIUI 8 and 9. I do use Nova...google suggests that its' more a problem with Nova users than not but i'm not willing to give up Nova

I still use Nova as well, no issues now. Just tested setting the wallpaper via Nova again and it doesn't zoom in like before. Are you using the Stable or Dev ROM? Now that I think of it, maybe it was fixed when I changed from Stable to Dev (which happened to coincide with the change from MIUI8 to MIUI9).

I'm on stable. I've been trying to avoid rooting/flashing and just trying to enjoy the phone out of the box(aside from the DPI drop). Not sure this alone is annoying me enough to root n' rom but if DEV fixed my fitbit notification issue as well I would likely do it in a flash

There is no need to root to install the dev rom, all you have to do is download it from Xiaomi's website and install it with the updater app. You will lose all your data though.

Of course, you get them weekly. That's what the Dev Rom is for, you always get updates first.
I've downloaded it and when I try to install via installer it says it's not allowed to upgrade to an unofficial Rom version and stops.

You have to chose either Global or China Rom according to your version. What does it say in Android Version on the About Phone section?

Yes I downloaded from there but didn't see a choice between global and China.
My android version is 7.1.1 nmf26f
When I click k the download link it just starts but it is the global Rom.
I meant to say MIUI version, not Android version, sorry.
The page opens on default on the global section, you can change it on the right of the header with the device name. If that's the one that doesn't work, you probably have the Chinese Stable version and in that case you must flash the China Dev ROM

I got it. I had cancelled just into installing and then when I started from scratch again it worked. Up and running on Dec now.
So far so good with the wallpaper zoom. Fingers crossed. The fitbit notifications still turn off every reboot. Boo
Now I'm battling the stupid install over. USB permissions so I can drop the dpi settings. Pita
UPdate: Wallpaper zoom issue still exists on Dev rom
Wallpaper zoom in issue still present in MIUI 9.0.3.0 Global Stable on my Mi Max 2.

You could try the "Mi AI Button Remapper" magisk module by Serbinhio. I use it and haven't noticed any problems with 10.2.26.0. You can find it in "Xiaomi Mi 9 Themes, Apps, and Mods" here, can't link it

Thanks, but I didn't root the phone yet.. I know, shame on me but I don't have the time atm. If updates don't get better soon I will take a day off to get that done and restore all my **** ?
I don't have problems with the 10.2.26 EEA either.
Try flashing the whole rom instead of just the OTA, that might solve problems without losing data.
- I couldn't flash or download the OTA due to root, flashing the whole rom in TWRP did upgrade.
>> You don't need to be unlocked or rooted to flash the whole rom <<
It's available on XDA somewhere

Same problem, I voted this https://en.miui.com/thread-6922405-1-1.html

Hi Team
I have purchased a Redmi 9 power in January and have noticed that the Calendar App doesn't display day and date and displays 16 always.I bought another 9 POWER last month and notice that calendar App is fine on it.
Could someone help me ?
Thanks in advance.
Calendar Version 12.4.6 .
The working phone has Calendar App version 12.0.1.2 .the phone that displays 16 has calendar App version 12.4.6
Is it possible to downgrade this to 12.0.1.2 to see if it will fix the issue?
Thanks again
Hi All this is how the calendar app looks like.
Clear all data of the Calendar and try to update the Calendar to the Latest Version or use the Google Calendar
Thanks Atanassoww for your reply, I have tried your suggestions and fix the issue though, I have noticed that on another 9 power it is on much earlier version and working fine.

What version of MIUI do both phones use? Check this in the Settings.
If a newer version of the MIUI is installed on one of the two phones this is the reason.
