Being your s-off you don't need to lock the bootloader to flash a RUU. Find the decrypted RUU and flash it from fastboot oem rebootRUU. it should flash no problems

yeah you can run the RUU and while it's open search your windows temp for rom.zip and copy it to your desktop.
quit the RUU then flash the rom.zip
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
fastboot flash zip rom.zip << two times the first just flashes hboot
fastboot reboot-bootloader

you might want to use the 3.22.1540.9 decrypted ruu.zip, it works flawlessly, unlike the 4.19.1540.9 RUU. You'll then have to install 6 ota updates from 3.22.1540.9 to 6.07.1540.1.
download and save it to your adb/fastboot folder, rename it "ruu" (ruu.zip)
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
fastboot reboot

you should get the updates directly from the phone: Settings ---> About ---> Software updates.
you can also flash each ota manually if needed, they are all available in the Dev edition updates thread in the general section.

[Q] Disaster Recovery , Bricked HTC One

Hey guys I badly need help!!! I was able to convert my HTC One GSM to Google Edition just last week, but today I want to restore it to its factory ROM so I can also restore the warranty. Now the problem became visible when I tried to flash a stock ROM (not the GPE ROM). Listed below are the problems I am facing at the moment:
1. Stuck in FASTBOOT USB, and cannot boot to ROM.
2. Can't boot to recovery. Everytime I highlight and select recovery the phone just shows up the "Google" logo, then vibrates, then back fastboot USB.
3. Factory Reset not working, again shows up "Google" then restarts to fastboot usb mode.
4. I ran cmd in sdk-tools, typed in "fastboot devices", and my phone is detected. But when I type "adb devices", my phone is not listed.
5. I tried flashing CWM or TWRP through fastboot in cmd but the reply is"remote: signature verify fail", as wellas flashing a RUU for my device.
6. On bootloader is written:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** RELOCKED ***
M7_UK PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.54.0000
RADIO-4A.17.3250.14
OpenDSP-v30.120.3274.0520
OS-2.14.1700.15
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Guys I really badly need help to fix my phone. I don't wanna spend for repairs or throw it in the garbage. I am very sure there's a way to fix this and get it to work, but I am rookie in android as I've been an iOs user for a couple of years.

RUU Zip will be encrypted..you cant extract files from it
you have to download firmware files seperately...you can find them in android development section

Everytime I tried to flash custom recovery (CWM/TWRP) in cmd it returns "remote: signature verify fail", I used command "fastboot flash recovery cwm.img". And now I tried to load up recovery from menu, and it's stuck on a 'dead-android-icon-with-exclamation-error' logo. @Harish_Kumar

Can't Mount Cache, Can't Load ROM

So, was trying to troubleshoot a problem this morning and I've done something to send my phone sideways.
I'm currently S-OFF, Unlocked, and CID 11111111
Firmware is 4.19.1540.4
I have no OS installed and when I try (ARHD 51), it fails when it tries to set permissions. I then go into recovery and try to wipe cache, etc and I get the Unable to Mount Cache problem. I exit out of recovery, whether to reboot to Bootloader (or whatever) and it tells me that I need to install SuperSU. It gives me the same Unable to Mount Cache message and it kicks me out and send me back to Bootloader.
I'm sure I'm just missing something. Any advice?

what recovery and what version are you using when trying to flash arhd 51?
With s-off you could simply downgrade hboot and then use the latest .1540 ruu.exe and apply ota updates to make your phone functional again

just download this file and save it to your adb/fastboot folder. reboot your phone in bootloader mode and select fastboot.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <name_of_file>.zip
fastboot flash zip <name_of_file>.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then run the .1540 ruu from htcdev here (the latest ruu is 3.22.1540.1)
you'll probably need to setback your cid to BS_US001 to receive ota updates (irc 3 updates to latest version)
Code:
fastboot oem writecid BS_US001
fastboot reboot-bootloader
and make sure you are not using windows 8.1 to run the ruu. windows 8.0 should be fine but i recommend you to use windows 7. If you are on windows 8.1 and you can't have a win 7 pc then use the ruu.zip method instead the ruu.exe
Wouldn't a fastboot erase cache fix that??

HTC one USA ATT Encrypted Ruu.zip

I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find the Ruu.zip mentioned in the title. All of the ones I have found have been decrypted. From what I have gathered in order to fix my issue I need an encrypted Ruu.zip. The issue I am getting is that when trying to use the ruu I get the following error when running fastboot flash zip Rom.zip:
sending 'zip' (1153504 KB)...
OKAY [ 51.891s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 191.589s
Can anyone help me find an ecrypted version of the Ruu or if that is not what I need tell me how else to fix this issue.
Thanks for the help.
Download the ruu exe, run it and wait for the dialog to appear, then go to your Windows temp directory, sort by date and look in one of the most recently created folders, there you will find rom.zip, which is the encrypted zip.

So you are (were) probably on 4.1.2. Why do you need RUU? Do you have custom recovery (TWRP/CWM) installed? What does the output of 'fastboot getvar all' show? (Don't post the IMEI part)

I was flashing what I thought was a stock rom on my htc one but it did not go well and since then everything I flash doesn't work. So my hope was that by using an RUU I could simply return my phone to stock. I did have a custom recovery(CWM) but in the process of trying to flash the RUU I ran oem lock so my bootloader has been relocked and I am no longer able to get to my custom recovery. I can reunlock and reflash a custom recovery if I need to I just want to get my phone back to stock so that it is usable. As for the out put of the command 'fastboot getvar all' I am not currently home but will post that later today.
@TheNicOfTime Here's a link to download AT&T 3.17.502.3 encrypted ROM zip rom_3.17.502.3.zip
This is 4.3 rom and should work since you are on 1.44 hboot, then just take OTAs to get to latest 4.4.2 build.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip rom_3.17.502.3.zip
fastboot flash zip rom_3.17.502.3.zip
fastboot reboot
Yes, flash it twice. The first pass updates the hboot only, then second time the entire rom flashes.

Problem updating !!!

Hi,
I've just unlocked and rooted my M7. I can't upgrade my firmware and android version because the IMEI is cloned from another phone. I downloaded the latest firmware from HTC website but still couldn't update from pc. How can i upgrade any advices?
Android : 4.1.2
HTC Sense: 5.0
Software: 1.29.401.2
HTC SDK API: 5.12
Kernel: 3.4.10
I don't think imei it's a problem for upgrading.
This is the ruu: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224381381
You need htc_fastboot.exe
Boot in hboot, do "fastboot oem rebootRUU"
"htc_fastboot flash zip RUU.zip" - do the command again when/if it ask.
"fastboot reboot" - after finish.
Note: If you're S-ON you need to relock your bootloader.
Note2: You can't use fastboot on windows 8/8.1/10 because of your old hboot.
Thank you i will try but the ruu is .exe how am i going to turn it to .zip?
