I have recently bought a Huawei P7 and everything Works perfect, BUT when I receiving SMS it goes to a Conversation with name "Null",
and my SENT Messages are in correct conversations.
Device Details:
Huawei P7
Android 4.4.2 (STOCK) Emotion UI 2.3
Build NUmber: P7-L10V100R001C00B117SP02
Custom Version: CUSTC433D117SP02
ps: Contact names and SMS and Phone Languages All are PERSIAN
I pps: used third party SMS apps, not solved the problem
I want to know the problem is with android or language I used?
There is an update firmware available. Please update your phone.
Ive checked problem again with default SMS app as HANGOUTS and it seems working correctly,
but is there any chance to work with Default SMS app???

Yes is a quote Short answer bit true ad is relased in waves bit from HiCare app there is a menu where you can go to ask for an update and if your cust/release is eligible then hicare app authorizes the update for your phone and then compares...
I don't remember exactly know the menu was something like support-ask for download software or similar...

I had to select the EMUI systemupdater app and it would say no updates avaiable, but if you press the 3 dots in the top right corner and select Get latest full package, it updated to the newest version.

I tried everything as you say, but still nothing, yet I had an OTA update before a few months ago it was the B182.
When I go on HiCare there is no update, and the same when when I try to update from the settings always nothing.

I just made an account just to comment on this post because i also have not received an update for my Huawei P9, I'm on B152 and have only received one update ever since owning this phone, that's the only thing i hate, is the late updates. Says no update available, but the other Huawei P9 models have received the latest update already, like wtf..... It's a bummer I'm gonna be getting the Huawei P10 when it comes out and have only experienced Marshmallow on my Huawei P9, bummer. I have even factory restored my phone to get any of those failed attempts in rooting out of my phone and still no update.
Just came here to see if anyone else did not recieve the update just like me. Then i red the comment about the hicare support. I go to hicare and there was a section like "Services" or something like that. On the bottom there was a button "First customers to try software actualization" (not sure about the exact translation) and when i press it it goes to the updater app and start downloading the 7.0 update with emui 5 (2.27GB update B378). I have waited for this update so long and all i needed to do is to press a button in the hicare app? Seriously ?

I cant even see the update even using HiCare! Its ridiculous how they distribute these updates. Another user in the UK who is on 3 said its available and updated... So Why are others waiting ???
L19c636b190 and still no nougat
I'm on B190 too with O2. Really frustrated that others have it and updates are not released at the same time. The waiting continues......................

tmohamaded go to setting +app+hicare and force close and wipe cache
now open hicare and change your country to french
it work 100%
That doesn't work for me, I even tried downloading and installing the B360 update and it fails.

What happens when you guys click on "Get latest full package" in the updater? Doesn't give you latest Nougat update?
I bought my phone from china .. the voice assistant only with china language and it's unchangeable and i want an English version is there any solution for this ?

I didn't till now
My wife has a Huawei Ascend P7 which is still on 4.4.2 with no update available in the update section.
She now encounters problems apps cannot be run/installed because her OS is to old. I found that there a loads of 5.1.1 roms available for the P7 and contacted the Huawei support in the Netherlands. They asked me the build number and after I send them the build number, I now got the answer that there is no update available and that it is unknown when the update will come.
As 5.1.1 is not like it is released yesterday, I can expect the update will never come.
I am now wondering: is there any stock 5.1.1 update I can flash onto her P7 to get it to 5.1.1?
The build is P7-L10V100R001C00B623, the custom version is CustC432D001.
And is there any rom which has dutch language support?

You need this one but some people say there are lot of bugs in Lollipop with Ascend P7 in general.

Most stable is B853 but it is for Asian market, so you have to how why to change CUST number.
You have to unlock bootloader with dc-unlocker and make root.
I do not have Lollipop but I am not sure if its best option. There is an option with Lineage 13 (Android 6.0) for this phone.
In fact there seem to be problems with getting back to earlier Android.

You can find many many similar apps on alternative markets to install them alone as .apk You dont have to you Google Store with such old Android. I got 4.4 and it takes some time to find suitable app but it is possible

You have to write here the all firmware (Cxxx).

I bought my P40 pro in Sep'2020 and installed Google in October '2020 with YouTube vedio by Redskull of Mr. Alex.
For your information that my P40 is running excellent, all banking, wallets, food ordering apps including all google apps running smoothly.
The only issue I have is that not received OTA till date after I installed GMS. My phone is on EMUI 10 and build number is 10.1.0.131 (C636E8R6P1). Is it that I have done some error on installing the GMS that restricted to get OTA update?
If possible please help me on this issue so that I can get EMUI 11 and other security updates.
Appreciate your help in this regards.

If you want my advice: stay on that firmware version. Google and Huawei do a lot of work to block every possibility to install and run Google apps. On the last firmware they make a lot of sh..s. I stay on 10.1.0.121. (C432)

I also think you said the right thing. Since all is working fine woth GMS installed better stay as it is till Huawei has its own operating system plus Apps galary similar to the Google play store.

I can change the language and region settings, but this can't what you meant, right? Where in settings shall I change to Thailand? Please help!
