Hi, I would like to check whether I can flash my MI3 with developer ROM from xiaomi.eu - xiaomi.eu/community/threads/4-8-22.25457/
As there is no developer ROM available from en.miui.com - en.miui.com/download-101.html#165 so I am thinking the one from xiaomi.eu is the closest I can use.
This bring to my next question, why no developer ROM from miui.com?
How about the flashing step? Straight away flash from CWM?
Kindly advise.
Thanks.
Anyone?

Hey there! Nice to see someone frm SG. Anyways i believe you can flash that dev ROM from one of the flash tool. But just to be safe, there shld be a guide showing you how to flash the ROM in the forums and i sggest you search for that before trying to flash. Anyways, the MI3 only has 2 variants which is the Intl (MI3W) and China-ony version (???) But since the website is an EU website, they shld be using the intl variant

Here is a tutorial on how to flash roms on MI3: http://en.miui.com/thread-11047-1-1.html
Also, dev rom from en.miui.com DOES exist: http://en.miui.com/download-101.html#165 Select WCDMA-CDMA China and there it is.

Hey,
I would like some help from you guys.
It's been a while since I put a custom rom on my previous phone.
So if possible I would like a comprehensive explanation.
Right now I have Emui 3.1 installed on my P7 L10.
I would like to install a custom rom but I'm not sure I got my bootloader unlocked.
If possible I would like to know how to unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom with full root.
I did some research already on the internet but all the explanations are so short.
The rom I want to have installed on my P7 L10 is the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/development/rom-rom-v3-1-emui-3-0-t2977409
I hope someone want to help me with this.
Greetings,
Jornie

I'm afraid you will not be able to install that rom, since it is meant for emui 3.0 not 3.1
The only working custom ROM for lollipop is the Miui rom and that's it. All the other Roms are based on kitkat.

Isn't it possible to downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0?
And even if my bootloader is locked to 2.3??

It is possible and there are many guides out there which tell you how to unlock your bootloader. Just don't try to flash that rom while on lollipop.

I know, but I think the guides are not detailed enough of the download links are not working.
Just ignore that it says b805, because it works with all of lollipop firmwares.

Hi all!
Loving my new device!
I bought it from Gearbest and it's the International version that came with an unlocked bootloader and the Official Global ROM installed (no idea how they unlocked the bootloader).
Just after I booted it for the first time I got the official update to MIUI 10 and everything went perfectly.
My question is: should I reflash the official China ROM and relock the bootloader just to be able to unlock it again on my own? What's the advantage of doing it since it's already unlocked and with an official ROM?
Is it safer? Can I be in trouble in the future if I don't do it?
Sorry for asking this basic question, but this is a new ecosystem for me.
Cheers!

Hi there,
I have a Chinese ROM mi 8 SE and I unlocked the bootloader and try to install global ROM via MiFlash tool but failed.
Can someone provide me the Global ROM to install it via this method through fastboot ?
Thank you in advance.
AFAIK there's no Global ROM for this device.
There isn`t official rom, but there is non official, which apparently works great.

thank you so much I install custom ROM through TWRP
I believe there will be more custom roms in short time, device is really among best buy phones currently and I am sure
more and more developers will have it.
We just need a bit of patience.

this ROM is very good, I recommend it to you.
I'm about to purchase the mi8se unlocked with chinese rom.
Is there an unofficial european rom which is recommended and that it came with OTA updates?
I'm quite technical but I'd rather set the mobile once rather than chase new roms every month if you know what I mean.
Many thanks!

U should try RevOS...or Xiaomi.Eu
Dumped ROM
I found this online and this is the closest thing I could find to the stock firmware. Hopefully it can help someone with something.
Are developers into ZTE phones? Any chance we got custom for this device?
Is this ROM a global version?

How do you flash this ROM? I tried it through ZTE's recovery but it gives an error while trying to flash it.
I'm planning to buy this device but I'm worried about will it get any custom roms support in the future, as there not a single development process on Nord SE.
I think it's because there is no firmware available to download. So developers can't build ROM for this one yet. Now oppo and OnePlus working I think stock ROM gets better also.

Hi there,
Now that the original software can be downloaded from the official website, that can no longer be an obstacle, can it?
Why is it really that there is no alternative software for this mobile phone? Is it really that bad that no developer can be found for it?
