I am running OmniROM (omni-4.4.4-20140826-mint-NIGHTLY) on Xperia T, and flashed latest GApps.
Everything is working fine, but I only can see the Google Camera App, which does not offer much functionality. I heard of another camera app (AOSP Camera2) which would have more features. How to enable this camera app?
Nobody knows this? I see that there are fixes to camera2 in the changelog:
omni.cmxlog.com/4.4/mint
Check if the updater-script of your gapps package removes Camera2

Currently running the latest Oxygen OS 4.1 on my 3t and I'm really loving OOS, but I miss the camera that comes with LineageOS 14 cause it had the Denoise feature that keeps more details in the image.
Can anyone here create a port of the camera that will work on OOS? I have tried several apk and libs, the camera just starts and closes immediately, really frustrating.
Thanks!

i'm looking for a custom rom whith fully functional camera2 api, until february everything was working fine with the official rros, form the update of 25 feb i can't make any "pro" camera app work correctly. i tried some other roms and discovered that the Phoenix AOSP Extended has "functional" camera2 api, but there are problems, the stock camera port has the option to save RAWs but if that option is enabled it won't save anything at all, other apps (like manual camera) save correcly but the screen is always solid green. my question is: is there a custom rom with fully functional camera 2 api? or is there a way to have working camera2 api in rros (i think this is very unlikely without asking the devs)?
i prefer not going back to stock because of OMS and some features of the custom roms.
thank in advance.
So to the point,
Any camera app can't connect to the camera on this ROM, I tried to uninstall/reinstall camera2 API, but still didn't working.
Any idea to solve this?
Hi, I have enabled HAL3 and Iam using google camera. I want to use default camera simultaneously, but doesnt work with HAL3 enabled... Please help.
Same issue here too while when enabling camera2api in MIUI (let it be any version)
It was working fine with MIUI 9 beta build of last week November 2017 (exception was using HDR, camera would crash instantly).
Later I have tried in several updates of MIUI with camera2api but stock camera doesn't works.
Not sure if they are doing intentionally because it was working fine before.

Xiaomi haven't enabled the camera2api by default in any of it's devices out of the box or in any updates.
That's what messes up default stock Mi camera as it is designed like that but on some of devices it works fine without any issue even after enabling camera2api.
Even in MIUI 10 they haven't turned on camera2api instead they have implemented portrait mode in Mi camera with own AI and deep camera software learnings.
Hi please can anyone help...
Even i enable this its not working
I tried rebooting.
Flashed the zip files
Applied via magisk
Ntng seems working....:crying:

I installed LineageOS 15.1 on my T-Mobile H811 and everything seems to be working fine. Except the camera app seems to not be working at all. I tried installing different camera apps thinking it was only the app itself but that wasn't it. I installed Open Camera, Camera for Pixel 3, and a generic camera app but they all say the same thing(or a variation of) "camera has stopped working", "camera has been disabled", camera app cannot be launched". It's LineageOS 15.1-20190917-UNOFFICIAL-h811, android 8.1.0, kernel 3.10.108. The camera was working just fine with the stock 6.0 android before the update to 8.1.0
What steps would I need to follow to fix this?
Much thanks in advance
