Does anyone know how to remove the vibrate icon when the phone is in vibrate only mode? I've done several searches, but no results for the S5.

I originally posted this in the "Wizard" forum but wasn't sure if this one was more appropiate:
Every time I turn off my device and turn it back on, if it was on ring mode before it toggles to vibrate mode, and if it was on vibrate mode it toggles to ring mode.
I've done several soft resets, looked at ring settings and changing them... but nothing that I've done has worked. I've searched this and other forums but I haven't found a way to fix this problem so far. I would really appreciate the help if anyone has any clues.

Also, if it's of any help, this problem started happening out of the blue. I haven't installed anything new or changed any configuration settings lately. So I have no idea what could have triggered it.
I figured out what was happening. It turns out my communications manager button was jammed and that was what was causing the problem. Fortunately I was able to fix it with a small screwdriver.
Hello all,
First, you guys are great. This is my first post because I've been able to figure out just about everything by just searching and reading. So thanks to all of you!
Second, I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to assign a hard button to silent my phone (not set it to vibrate which vibra switch does wonderfully). I have AEButtons and I have found that HTC Home has the silent function I'm looking for within it, but can't find the command anywhere so I can't associate it with a button.
I have searched for a while and have only found threads concerning silencing an incoming ring but not any that say how to silence the entire phone via a hard button modification.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
you could try using MortScript, which i assume u will find ok
Ok, first off, I'm well aware that there are many topics that appear to cover what I'm asking about. I've searched them. Second, I know where the "Sounds and Notifications" option is, and have been there. I'll get to that further down.
I've had this issue since I've gotten the phone. I'm not entirely sure if it's due to apps installed or not, since it's been doing when I've had some installed and when I didn't. I have tried hard resetting my device as well. My phone will play the sound of an incoming text, flash the light, all that just fine... for the first five or so texts. After that, the phone will wake up, it will show the notification on screen, but it WON'T play the sound, nor flash the light.
Naturally, the first time I noticed this, I went into the options menu to see what was up. All the settings were right. I hit the play button to test the file... nothing. I hit it again, nothing. I hit stop, then play, and it started up. Then my notifications were ok again, for about five or so texts. If my phone is on vibrate, it's the same case. It'll vibrate for the first five or so, then stop until I go into the settings.
I don't have a clue what could be causing this, so any and all help or suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It comes when you set the phone on ring and vibrate both.
Set the phone only to ringing mode and it will vanish. Once you activate to vibrate along with ring it will emerge in the status bar.
Used to remove it in the GB using JKay mods - Deluxe Settings
I think it shows up whenever you have your phone set to vibrate..either with ringer or on silent mode.
thanks for the replies guys, think ill just have to live with being told its on vibrate
This probably has some simple solution my lame google-fu can't find, but I only want notifications to trigger the vibrate function when my phone is in vibrate mode. Right now, it's all the time or never. Is there any way to set it up so it only vibrates in vibrate mode? They quit doing it when I turned the vibrate function off and then back on for both my email and kik.

Okay, 50 people have viewed this and nothing? There's got to be a way to set this up, it worked that way when I got it, there ought to be a way to go back to it.
