Are you saying that you bought it already broke? Or are you not wanting to answer the question?

Its pretty sad the way people come into these threads, with one or 2 posts, never helping anyone, or even being friendly about anything, and just ask and expect others to do things for them, or provide software to them, just because they screwed up their phones due to not bothering to learn how to fix it BEFORE doing stupid stuff to it..
Its so sad to see what has happened to XDA...

I never post becouse my English is low level, and I am from Ukraine.
I bought phone with dead recovery mode, and download mode with T-mobile rom.
I was read more thread how to restore download/recovery mode, and back to stock.
And find that I need flash directly via adb boot.img, recovery.img and another.

32b Bricked?

Hey guys,
i have a big problem,
my htc magic 32b was jerking me,
it lost the signal to network,
so i decided to make a radio update,
i used this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=640535
now, i can't enter fastboot and it doesn't boot (only vodafone screen)
What can i do now??
plz help me
This is the HTC Dream aka G1 forum. You're looking for the HTC Magic forum.
Nonetheless, if you can't boot the phone into recovery or fastboot, then you're pretty much hosed. I'm actually trying to unbrick a G1 right now, I can't even get into fastboot/bootloader to try and reflash the phone. Really sucks for me because I had just flashed a G1 the night before and it was flawless. Same directions, different results

Many myTouch users actually live here. 99% of users in the Sapphire section are 32A so any 32B problems will be better answered here.
However, yes you are bricked as freakingwilly said. Just off of a radio is quite funny, though. My only thought is that you got hold of a bad one and flashed it.

I didn't know that the Dream forum was home to the Sapphire users.
If I recall correctly, the boot order is RADIO > FASTBOOT > SPL. So if the radio is hosed, there won't be any real way to flash anything else (unless you use a JTAG, but that's a little more advanced than what the OP is looking for).
thx for the quick answers,
is there any possibility to debrick my phone?
i can't realise a brick in case of a radio update!!!

Well, like I said, it was only if memory is serving me correctly that the boot order is indeed RADIO > FASTBOOT > SPL. The only way you'd be able to fix a SOFT brick is if you were able to boot into fastboot/bootloader (Camera + End Call) or recovery mode (Home + End Call). From recovery, you could just reflash the radio or roll back to a radio that works. If that didn't work, you'd boot into bootloader, reflash the OEM NBH file, and start fresh. You lose all your data, but you don't lose a phone.
Unfortunately, you
There might be one option left... turn on your phone and connect it to your computer. If your computer recognizes the device, then you can use ADB to push a working radio to the phone.

As for your other comment, Sapphires come in 32b and 32a. Most 32b users dwell here.
As for bolded, some people have had luck issuing a fastboot command and leaving it sitting all night only to find it to be successful in the morning. You'll get a "Waiting for device...." for a loooong time and there's no assurance this will work at all and chances are slim to none.
Of course, you can send it in for warranty or buy another G1 with like a cracked screen or in real rough condition and replace what ever's broke from your old G1.
sounds like i'm realy ****ed up with my phone =(
hmm... i try something, if doesn't work the only way will be a new one i think...
i'm realy pissed off about this radio update, but it is how it is..
Thx for your answers and tips.
best regards
psycho

Hi, glad to hear you had success!
Exactly what did you do to achieve this, step-by-step?
startup and boot modified recovery
first computer found not device,
but i saved the nand back up files on root of sd,
booted device, also only vodafone screen,
but now i came in recovery, w/o fastboot.
My only prob. is now,
my sim don't connect to network -.-
this phone is jerking me....
and idk what to do =(
someone know how to fix?!
best regards,
psycho
This actually great news for you. The reason your SIM won't connect to the network is because the radio you flashed to the phone is not designed for your phone, which resulted in the "soft brick" you were experiencing before.
All you have to do is flash the correct radio for your phone through the recovery mode and you should be back in running condition.
Would you mind sharing how you got to the "boot modified recovery?" I am sure this will help people unbrick their devices as well.
i can't find an old radio =( can someone give me a link?
i've posted the way in another thread about a bricked g1
but i tell you again
i've tried all, i found...
but aber a few nights spending to my phone,
i found this:
1. copy your nand backup to root of your SD
2. Start you phone (should only boot, till vodafone screen)
3. Connect phone to computer (message: device not known)
4. Boot modified recovery with Z3kos recovery helper.batch
5. Wipe
6. Flash old Radio (DO NOT WIPE AFTER THIS)
7. Flash Rom
STOP FLASHING RADIOS. You need to FASTBOOT them. Please, if you're going to root, indulge yourself in the knowledge.

Hello,
This wasn't a bricked phone to start with. You could call it a software brick - no more.
We all have had that happen - flashing stock firmware via ODIN always helps.
Nothing new about that

soft brick - it never boots into system but you can access download / recovery (you can recover from that by flashing new ROM again or reverting CWM / TWRP backup)
hard brick - phone is dead - no access to recovery / download (go to service center as it looks like hardware is fried and you cannt fix it yourself)
hit thanks

Some more info on "cannot boot up" please.
-can you get to download mode?
-does odin or your PC recognize it?
If you can't do anything with it what so ever, your choices are limited.
1. The cheaper method. Did you get your carriers insurance? No? Well that sucks! Now you have to try and warranty your device. Maybe where you got it from will warranty your new found brick for ya. Maybe samsung will warranty it for you. YOU have to try. .
2. Some devices have a JTAG jig, or usb type device that will awaken a phone and put it into download mode. I haven't searched myself, but maybe one is available for your device. If so get one and use it. Put it in download mode and flash a stock rom with odin. This method has the potential of saving your brick a few times over! But not all bricks can be recovered using this method.
3. Mobiletechvideos.com has a brick repair service. They will take your brick and bring it back to life! Cost varies and is around $60 us dollars. The service takes about a week from what other users have reported.

Seems a good place for a brick discussion?

Have you got this phone in brick status and can't get a fix? ME TOO! I hope everyone with a brick of any type will come here and tell us how youbfixed it. Or ask how to fix. This is mostly for the optics l90 so please respect the tone! Hope this works.
My brick consists of the d415 stuxh on emcrytion screen with no adb or gastboor OR s.w update mode. It's on and I can hear it but it has that damn incryption screen
I will post mybresulys as I get scientific all on it.
What actually did you develop? Original brick?

As I said in the other forum you no longer have a data partition. It is completely gone because the resize script doesn't completely work on the d415. The system partition cant access any data so it thinks that it is encrypted. This also happened to me.
I also previously mentioned if you can get to recovery I can help you.
You DO have either fastboot or software update mode enabled right now.
With your phone off hold the volume up bottom and then plug your cord into your phone and computer.
If it takes you to software mode then you will need to kdz reset your phone. This will also fix your partitions, but you will have to start from the beginning to get root, flash recovery etc.
If you can get to fastboot reflash a recovery from shinobis thread. Once you have a working recovery you will have adb access while in recovery.
I can help you use the same method I did using adb while in recovery.
Let me know where you get (fastboot or software update mode)

Try flashing stock rom from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com
You may need to become a member(it's free) to download. Once you download the rom for your region and device, unzip the file and flash the .tar.md5 file in odin

EMMC Brick Bug takes another phone down. Unfortunately the EMMC is dead. You can try and take it to a specialized repair shop and have the EMMC replaced. But it would probably be very expensive. Download mode works because the SoC actually boots for download mode, EMMC is not accessed. Nand erase all is useless in this case, and Kies doesn't know what to do.

It will work normally, but make sure to take an i9300 motherboard for the normal S3 and an i9305 motherboard for the i9305. And also make sure to not damage anything. And not loose any screw (lost one already and regret it).
The IMEI will be different (if you have the box) but other than that, make sure the motherboard is tested, works 100% and doesn't have any problem.
Don't forget to push the tanks button just in case

Very tricky, may not work and it could possibly blacklist both the IMEIs. Generally, IMEI copying is done using specialized programmes, but it is not generally both allowed, practical and in some parts, or global, ILLEGAL.
