Only noticed this recently, where did the option to have GSM only in mobile network settings go? And why is 4G on by default? If I select wcdma only or wcdma/GSM when I next reboot my phone, it reverts back to 4G preferred. Is there a way to get this back? Or at least to not have 4G preferred? I don't have a 4G sim, so there's no need to have it on, I don't know if it effects battery life, but I'd assume it would?

Open service menu by entering *#*#7378423#*#* into your dialer. Go to service settings - Network mode
No way to get it back in settings?

I don't think so, but at least you can set it in service menu

Hey guys, is there anyway to stop this message from popping up every 10 minutes?

The issue is if I select do not show this message again and hit cancel, the selection doesn't stick and it will pop up again. If I select ok, it switches to global mode and I won't connect to 4g unless I manually switch back. It's pretty annoying. Thanks for the help
Oh and I'm rooted so maybe there is a file I can turn this off in?
Anyone?

What network are you using the X on?
You have a few ways to fix this, but in a nut shell, you just need to manually set your network to what you are using.
Ok so me not being able to leave anything alone until i belive its 100% perfect i was messing with the build.propt and the info (*#*#info#*#*) and manage to improve my network speed (HSPA+/3G), or so it would seem, would anyone like to try this and check that im not going mad lol
Code:
#build.prop
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice = 1
Code:
#info (#*#*info#*#*)
changed the lte ram dump to on
changed the netwrok type to LTE/GSM/WCDMA
if you have a cdma device i guess youll have to change it to LTE/CDMA/EvDo (but i guess you already have LTE lol)
My signal is showing H+
I'll post pictures in bit

Just a suggestion: remove your phone number from the screenshot, if it's important for you
Lol didn't realise it was there, posted phone info as it's showing that indeed it's using a different network mode

Check that your APN settings are correct for your carrier (Google knows what they are )
Or try a different ROM. ?

There's you're issue. No APN.
You should ask in the rom thread.
And if they don't have a thread....in my opinion....don't use it.
I support XDA active devs.... Only.
But that's just me.
But you see why now.

....that's not APN settings.
In fact they are greyed out. Is dirty unicorn a CDMA ROM? (I'm not familiar with it at all)
See Pic
EDIT: Yeah, it appears to be a CDMA rom, OR you haven't set to GSM/UMTS
OR are you USING a CDMA carrier??? What phone and what carrier?
I can't access it
Okay thx guys!
The title says it all. How do you read able voice over LTE after flashing a new ROM on Verizon? I had it just fine on my last rom which was stock and I updated to clean ROM. I accessed the hidden menu *#*#4636#*#* and found the option to turn volte back on but after clicking the option and rebooting it doesn't do anything. I doubled checked myverizon account and the option is still there active. Also switched to ltr/CDMA in mobile networks without any difference.
Edit: solved
Did you do all the complicated things and forget the simple one? LOL

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tapbase.LTEswitcher

Select lte only
That all
Note that while you are in lte only mode you can't make calls, you can go back to normal mode selecting it in the app or in Settings/Mobile Networks/Network Mode and select LTE/WCDMA/GSM
