Battery dies overnight while the phone is turned off. - LG Optimus L90

My LG L90 is dying completely overnight when the phone is turned off. It's happening right out the box. I have yet to put a SIM in mine, and haven't entered my Google account yet (phone is for someone else). I think caught the phone turning itself on. I know when I put it in the box the first time after shutting it down, it was off. I went to put the charge in the box a while later and the LG screen was on. Happened two nights in a row now. I've read this issue other places so it's not just mine. Anyone know what's up?

Wont turn on

Got in last night and turned my Diamond off. Went to start it this morning and it wont do anything at all (no power or lights). Put it on charge, the bottom of the device gets hot but the actual battery is still room temperature, and it still wont switch on.
Anyone got any ideas? I'm nervous about taking it for repair as I have flashed ROM ;-(
Allready tried to remove the battery for a minute or so? Unplugged of course.
Perhaps the reset-button helps.

I cant turn on my phone. Help please.

I have this installed [ROM] CyanogenMod-6.1.0-RC1 for Hero CDMA
I was running wifi tethering and installing a game called chess.
I heard my phone vibrate quickly and the screen was black. I tried to turn it back on. But nothing. So I removed the battery and waited a couple minutes. I cant get it to come on.
So I plugged it into a charger and the red/orange LED is on as if it is charging.
The phone will not even attempt to start up
Any ideas?

Phone just seems dead to me... probably just needs to charge for an hour or so
If it's not charge up and running by now, you'll need a new battery.
Thanksgiving day I had my phone on but was doing things around the house and when I went to check my phone it wouldn't wake. Holding down the power button, nothing, it was dead. I know the battery wasn't drained. So I plugged it into my USB and the light didn't turn on either. I sat staring at the phone for a few seconds to troubleshoot and it suddenly began to boot up and after everything loaded I could confirm it was half charged.
I'm running the same version of Cyanogen as you. Are you using the original battery or 3rd party? Mine is 3rd party.
Have you had other strange occurrences leading up to this? Twice in a week I woke up to find my phone on even though I know I shut it down the night before and not accidentally rebooted.
Since I was able to get my phone to boot back from temporary dead the phone has frozen twice while texting. I didn't battery pull or anything, it just rebooted by itself after a few minutes. I plan on switching back to my old battery to see what happens.

[Q]Should my touchpad screen always be on when charging?

I just got this touchpad back from Newegg since the last one refused to turn on after the battery went dead. I just received it and plugged it in to the HP AUTHORIZED charger. The screen always stays on, it hasn't been charging for too long but the screen won't turn off, that seems a stupid decision. Is there any way to fix it? It has only WebOS since it won't turn on yet. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on? I don't think I'm ever purchasing from Newegg again because of the horrible service with this so far.

In android there's a setting in settings that lets you control this. I'm sure there's one in webOs also, but I can't remember where now. I'll be on webos later and will look for the setting.
Did I read you post right? Your TP won't turn on yet?
Im not understanding your problem. Are you having a problem getting your TouchPad to turn ON or OFF? You mention one, then the other. If you mean it wont turn off, do you mean it wont turn off at all? Even if you push the power button? Or it wont turn off if you just leave it and your saying the screen doesnt time out? Please elaborate.
I may have been unclear. I had just unboxed it and it wouldn't turn off while charging, or at least stayed off. It kept coming on and the screen wouldn't go off. I eventually got it to stay off while charging overnight before setup. Everything is fine now, android loaded to alpha 2 CM9, netflix and all that is working. No issues now.

[Q] Phone won't turn on

I can't get my phone to turn on (or at least stay on).
Last night I plugged it in before going to bed, just like I always do. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. This morning, however, when I woke up, it was off (even though I had left it on) and I couldn't get it to turn on at all. I didn't have time to examine it much before going off to school so I just took it with me (despite its apparent uselessness) and it never turned on. Now that I'm home I am able to look at it more in depth, but I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
Every time I plug it in to charge, the LED light comes on for about 2 or 3 seconds, and then turns off again, I'm not sure if that means anything. On two occasions now, I've been able to turn the phone on to the point where it shows the HTC logo, but that lasts for a second or so and then it shuts off again. I haven't been able to get it past that point.
I haven't gone through any changes with the phone as of recently. I haven't even installed any new apps or anything for awhile now. I really don't know what would have triggered this sort of behavior. It just seemed to happen for no reason overnight.
Any ideas and/or help would be much appreciated.

You should have read more before flashing clockworkmod...
You need another battery... And twrp or wcx recovery...
Flash either recovery... Except cwm... Then put your battery back in and voila... It charges...

LG Watch Sport Not Charging properly!

I'm getting some strange activity on the watch:
When it runs out of battery and shuts down, I place the watch on the charging cradle while it is off, and it starts to charge as normal. It slowly charges up to 25% as usual, and then suddenly it's at 100%!!
When I boot up the watch it is at 100%, but then starts to lose charge very quickly. It's almost like the battery has become uncalibrated. I have tried running it down and then fully charging it while off and leaving it on the charging cradle for hours etc, but no help.
Anyone else with this problem, and any suggestions? (Can't send it in for warranty repair etc... cos I live in UK where they don't sell it, so had to buy it off eBay, it's a W280A which had an AT&T sim in it)
I think I may have fixed this, I'll have to wait and see how long a full charge lasts, but for the first time while powered off, it charged from 1% to 100% by 1% each time, I know because I watched it - it's been driving me crazy! So something had screwed the calibration of the battery it seems!
The fix was to keep the watch on until it powered itself off with no battery. Then try holding down the centre crown and turning it back on again - mine would get to the Google Circles on the boot animation, and then black out again - and I did this repeatedly, with the LG logo flashing up, then Google, then the circles, then it turned itself off again - so I knew there was more battery there (yes, I know these batteries keep a reserve so they are never fully discharged, and it's not good to take them all the way down, but I was only getting the thing to charge 20% or so before it showed 100). So I thought, how to keep the screen on, I can't keep turning it on again and again.
So I put it in fastboot mode, hold down the centre button and the lower button and it will bring up the fastboot screen - and I left it with the screen on, which seemed for like hours. When the screen finally went off, I tried turning it on, no LG logo screen, tried booting into fastboot, nothing - the watch was truly dead! So I held my breath and placed it on the charger. After a few moments, the white flashing ring appeared and 1% appeared in the centre, yaay!! I then watched it, repeatedly every few minutes pressing the centre crown to check the battery while it cycled through every percent until it reached 100! Now the watch is on and I am monitoring the discharge. I will let you know how it goes (before I couldn't get more than 4 or 5 hours out of it with all sensors off!)
So for all those that are getting exceptionally poor battery life out there, your watch may be lying to you - when it runs out of juice and powers off, before charging it again, turn it on again and again until nothing appears on the screen, or enter fastboot/recovery and the let the screen drain the rest of the battery. Obviously I take no responsibility if it messes up your watch.
I can confirm that this has fixed the problem. I'm getting easily one day out of the watch now, even after going out for a 2 hour half marathon mid day. This watch rocks now!

I tired your procedure but no luck
Also can confirm the fastboot drain worked - took 3+ hours (I went to bed) on high brightness but then recharged in about 2 hours and has 60% left after 8 hours use (battery saver and I turn screen off manually).
Thank you Admisi I might try this for other devices forgetting where the bottom of the battery is. Good stuff.
