I've xperia z which I had bought from ebay. When I bought this mobile, a custom rom was installed .
Now I cannot determine my mobile software wise. I want to know whether there is any way to determine if this set is c6602 or c6603 looking into back cover and most important for which country it is meant for. Recently I've lot of problem in my xperia z so I want to flash complete stock rom meant for my mobile.
Thanks in advance

It's very normal thing to be happens. C6602 is the same as C6603. If you used a mod or ROM for one of them. So you sure can use it on the other one
To see if it's actually C6603 OR C6602 look down the mic side you will find it
And don't worry about the C6602 or 6603

Wrong section, this is a forum Exclusively for the Xperia Z (the phone). For support for Z2 Tablet please write in the right section.
If you want help, PM me
I already did say sorry, I did not create a new topic since exists one because the problem is generic. I could easily write : how to find out which firmware was loaded from factory(+country customisation) on a Xperia Z bricked device where you cannot read this with flashtool or anything else since it is bootlooped. I know the forum admins encourage to use the search function instead opening new topics.

Thanks, but already tried with a lot of flashtool versions and firmwares. On my box i have si 1280-2432.24 de and on some handbook 1280-1649.1 , I figured out that is CDA that I can find with flashtool, but there are no CDA 1280-xxxx, but only higher versions 1281-xxxx, 1282-xxxx. The tablet was bought as used so I don't know if the box really belong to this tablet. I would appreciate if someone would gime me link to these firmwares 1280-xxxx.

Currently bin4ry cannot host branded firmware.
Are you able to use pccompanion? If you can and your phone was on 3 UK firmware you can create your own .ftf following the guide from the all in one thread. If you have any questions about doing that, ask in that thread or PM me.

Yes this is no problem, all Android Firmwares are multilingual, even the Software will automatically change the language to the SIM language So no worry you can even install arabic firmware and you will get DUTCH automatically when yours SIM is dutch

Question:
What's better of these two, I have a TL (AT&T) so I can not root the newer FW.
1.) 7.0.A.1.303 - ROOTED
2.) 7.0.A.3.195 - NOT ROOTED
Thanks.. looking for opinions please as I'm certain there are several others on AT&T who are wondering.

This is not the place for questions like this, but in brief the answer is that it's your choice. If you want system access you need root, if you don't need root then 195 is the latest fw therefore probably better..

You can root the AT&T FW and remove bloatware if you want without issue. As for the two you listed if you flash them you will lose LTE unless you exclude the baseband when flashing. The first one you will be able to root using Bin4ry's method the second one you will not be able to root at all since you have a locked bootloader and Bin4ry's method doesn't work on that firmware.
Thanks Spectre51, I understand the limitations and was wondering if going for the newer FW .195 was really worth loosing root on .303.

When downgrading from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2, you need to wipe all data or it won't work. Why do you need the 'Generic US' firmware anyway? Does it contain any special features which you need and which are not available in 'Generic TW'? It's the worst customization when it comes to updates..
it doesn't have any special features, i don't knowt what in Generic TW firmware have. I just worry that if i flash other region firmware i won't get update over the air later. and i think the original firmware is good for me.

Today, Generic US has been updated to 10.3.A.0.423. You don't need an FTF to flash this firmware. Just follow this guide to change your customization number to 1271-0119 and install the update with Sony PC Companion: [GUIDE] Download ANY firmware customization from Sony & create an FTF with Flashtool

LTE firmware is for C6603. The C6602 contains different hardware and has no LTE support. If you flash firmware for the wrong device, you might get connectivity problems and you will no longer receive any software updates from Sony (because they check the first 8 digits of your IMEI number, which is different for C6602 and C6603).
I just updated to 10.3.A.0.423 last night using a FTF I made from PC Companion. Posted here in case anyone needs it

Just noticed that using C6603 firmware for my C6602 phone wasn't a very good idea.... Sony PC Companion doesn't allow me to update it.
After I reflash the C6602 version of firmware, will I be able to automatically update my phone using Sony PC Companion? My phone is a C6602 bought in China but the Chinese firmware has been flashed out of the device.

Were you able to get the phone back to stock? Also is there not a way of flashing the ROM without using the PC and ftf.
I prefer flashing from the phone on CWM because I'm lazy, Is that not an option for installing a stock rom for this phone?

If you find a flashable zip with stock rom, you can flash stock.
But if you have your booloader locked, chances are you lose your root, recovery and go back to barbone kernel.

thanks for the info. Im not 100% knowing if the bootloader is locked or not. I just assumed its unlocked because the phonr is rooted and i'm running AOKP on it. i guess the main reson i want ti know is because i know its not the correct rom for this phone. it works fine but it should be the one that should be for the phone. not c6603 when the phone is a c6602. would you happen to know the link for a cwm flashable rom version of c6602?

Hello friends, I come from sub-forum for Xperia P, I became a Xperia U and I watch a rom stock official, ie bringing my phone is AT & T, that at first instance and then to put or try other roms .
I have a doubt in my terminal says
LT30at
Android Version: 4.0.4
Compilation: 7.0.B.1.152
But I see that most roms here LT30p says that the difference between the LT30at and LT30p, and if I can add a LT30p, or should I place specifically one that says LT30at.
Thanks for your help, the truth is that just yesterday I was handed my new device and want to start tune it. root, cwm, flashar different roms, or cooked with cwm.
Thank you,

Im confused. we use pcc for updating, file managing, for backup, etc. my phone bought from Kuwait that was stock middle east version rom installed. a month ago while I was using a ram cleaner app my phone is hanged badly that was not recoverable. then I flashed a ftf file of 4.3 .266(dont know which country version). but after that my phone is laggy. now I want to move back original middle east version. thats why i want to download and manually flash middle east version of .201. I think its not possible by pcc, is it?
Possible. But your software customisation no. should be one of ME version in your phone (build.prop). But since you've flashed another ftf, it might have changed. So, you have to change to your original cust. no. in build prop (need root for that) and then connect with PCC. It will download your original FW. Obviously you have forgotten that number.. so, have to find it out using your SI (sales item) no. [remove back cover and see/ or on the box]. Then go to following appropriate link for your phone model and do a "find in page" with your SI no. You may get several entries. In that you can find your orig. cust. no.

Hi Xda people, nice to be with you on this marvelous site, i'm new ..and this my first thread on the site.
well i have a Xperia Z lte, first of all i install official 5.0 lollipop moving from offocial jellybean 4.3, but i think that i put a wrong rom, it's for an another model, coz i've finished by lodsing the LTE signal, knowing that i had it on the previous 4.3. To know my model, i looked on the bottom of the phone near the mic, it's written "c6603", so i put a c6603 rom, no LTE, i used the IMEI code in to many website, they all said that it's a c6606 not actually a c6603 ...
After searching for a c6606 firmware, i found a link on XDA : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/stock-rom-xperia-z-c6606-10-3-1-e-0-t2538544 .... but i found dificulties to download from deev-host. i will try to fix the 4G by installing the c6606 firmware (when found), coz for me it's the only way, and i'm sure that you guys have more solutions, Help me please. Thanks a lot
