After pulling out Asus charger unit from the tablet, screen came on for few seconds, then disappeared, now hear it trying to boot then switches off.
Looking at the back of tablet, some of the teeth of are bent, missing from charging unit on tablet
Is it possible to replace this charging unit in UK?
Has this damaged something else on motherboard?
Tablet 4+ years old
If it could be repaired would cost be more than new tablet?

The past few weeks I've had the problem that my Note was charging very slowly (light/normal use while charging would still discharge the battery). The wall chargers I'm using are fine, I have no problems with them to charge my S3. Also when I jiggled the cable while charging my Note it would stop/start charging.
Now however it seems like my battery isn't getting charged at all. My phone shut down a few days ago and when I now connect the charger the icon shown in the attachment to this post is displayed.
The warranty expired already so I want to fix it myself. I figured I should start by replacing the usb connector so I already ordered this: http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/USB-Cha...cement_Parts_Tools&hash=item5d3d5740d4&_uhb=1
Anything else that could be causing the problem?
Thanks in advance.
Looks like drawn by hand. Did you consider a new battery? Thanks for the link btw. Good to know...

Yes I drew the picture in paint. I already tried with a different battery but that's not the problem.
The replacement part will take about 5 days to arrive, I'm hoping that fixes it but if there's anything else you guys can think of I can maybe order that too so I can fix my phone next weekend.
Replacing that part should fix your charging problem.
Just make sure that you get the same revision as the original part, or there will be consequences.
Where can you see wich revision you got?
gesendet mit Tapatalk
You can see it right there.
The one you ordered is rev 1.0
I don't have my small screwdrivers with me atm so I can't check yet. My Note is a little over 2 years old, hopefully it uses rev 1.0.
Just a quick update. The usb module was delivered today and it was very easy to open everything up and switch the parts. The problem seems to be fixed, the phone charges fine and everything works ok.
My touchpad was in a bicycle and was getting charged. My cousin placed the TP on a bicycly after the battery is about 43% and was charging.
He accidently shaked the bicycle and the touchpad was falled from the bicyle in the position where the charging port is connected.
Now it shows charging, but not charging. I plugged the charger at 41% and it came to 37% after 15-30 mins with the charger plugged.
Please help. Any DIY work that can fixthe touhpad or make the touchpad charge?
Thanks
Helps are appreciated.
Invest in a touchstone wireless charger. After the USB port went bad on one of my previous touchpads, it was a no brainer.

What do you think about the problem? Can I fix it in some local shops? How much do they ask?
Thanks for your INFOs.
With a donor tablet, you could probably have it fixed. In my opinion, unless its a 32gb, 4g, or 64gb model, its cheaper to just replace it. When I sold my 64gb with all the extras, I was disappointed to see how low the value had dropped. Personally I would go the touchstone route, and in the meantime, find a cell phone repair shop that isn't afraid of surface soldering and have the connector replaced. No idea on costs, but the microusb connector is about a 3$ part. Only problem would be if the PCB was cracked, thus my thoughts on a donor tablet to just swap the sub board assembly with USB port.

Ok now imagine that i am in a cell phone repair shop. I tell the repairing man that the tablet has fallen down with the charging position downwards and now its not charging. Will he fix the problem? Time duration as my father needs it in 4-5 hrs.

You are from Chennai right? Go to any cell phone repair shop and ask them to fix charging port. It is a common problem in phones, and they might even have spare microUSB ports. I repaired one in Mumbai when I was there in Jan, and since I just re-soldered my existing port, and already had the unit open, AND I knew the repair guy, he only charged me Rs. 30 (~50 cents ), ONLY for soldering.
But if you don't want to open the touchpad on your own, and dont want to mess around, you can expect them to fix it for something like Rs. 200-300.
If they ask for more, tell them it is a cheap made in china (sorry, no offense intended) replica and you didn't even pay too much for it People usually don't know about Touchpads here.
You can also try those small shops that repair TVs or Radios, sometimes they also repair for cheap.

Thank you sir. You saved my life. I went to a shop and gave a 350 Rs and repaired. I said it as a china replica as you mentioned but he said that the quality is like a U.S or U.K made. So, He got the money mentioned above. Again Thank you so much.
Hello dear xda fellas.
My Nexus 6's charging port just completely broke, cleaning did not help, thing is, we don't have the repair parts here in my country.
I'd like to order the following:
Charging port (must), audio jack (problem recognizing speakers, only headphones work properly), and a battery (discharging already fairly quick).
Don't know personally a good high quality online shop to buy these from that does ship internationally. so here i'd need your help, especially about the battery, so i don't get a cheap made one that will die fairly quick.
Also is it possible to connect a battery more than 3220 mAh?
Thanks ahead!

Hello... You may be able to put a bigger battery, but does it fit? Does it have the exact same connection to the motherboard? This is another story...
About N6 parts, not sure about battery, but you can take a look on a site called: parts4repair.com for the other parts.
Good luck...

MfG Stefan
Eonon GA2168
Me too ...upgraded from pumpkin RK3066 to a Eonon GA2168 , and looking for CFW,
have been very pleased with Malay`s firmware on my RK3066
Does it support sleep? How fast is it - like a PX3, or a PX5?
I ordered one of these and sent it back because as soon as I connected power to the stereo it blew both fuses to the headunit. I got the replacement unit and the same thing happened... I took a multimeter and my car shows 13.5V coming out of the red and yellow cables that supply power to the unit... I just sent that one back and am waiting for my 3rd one to arrive. This time I'm gonna take it out of the box and bench it with a battery by running 12V and 30 amps to it. If it blows with that then I know these units are cheap and will probably purchase something different. Any comments or suggestions for me? I also want to mod it as soon as I can actually get it to power on...
search“天之眼”,u can find the webside of this machine.
No power problem here, had it in 3 different cars.. volvo v70 ,xc70 and in a G wagen. measured power in :12.6v. and 13.8 in and no problem. must be a car charge regulator issue , to much Amp is no problem, but i guess your car was not running when connecting..Odd

Good day.
Recently i migrated from an Samsung Galaxy S8 to an Xperia XZ1 compact. One of the few things that i missed from that stupid phone is the wireless charging.
With XZ1C now i am concerned with the constant wear of the usb port when charging and connecting to the PC.
So i am thinking in buying and Magnetic Type-C Adapter. (see atachment)
I already bought a cheap one for another phone but, when connecting to the pc, had too many disconections.
Has anyone tryed and could make me a sujestion for a good one?
Thank you.
very cool. i didn't know that existed. i'd be interested in those as well
I had one of those.
They stick out too much from the phone, so I got rid of it shortly after.

That is a good question. .
In my Galaxy S8 i bought one from other seller, just out of curiosity, and it supported.
In the meantime, I bought 2 different adapters in ebay to try. When it arrives (in about 20 days) i'll post here my results.

Yes, as long as they support data.
Be really careful with magnetic charger. I am in China and bought one from Taobao. Connected it to my PC USB port, connected to phone and it turned off instantly, only Volume down+Power buttons combination make it start again. Hope this fckng thing didn't break anything in my phone. All tests (including battery) in *#*#Service#*#* come up alright.
It seems that it is OK to use magnetic cable, as long as you are not connecting your phone to front USB panel or USB hub. Just use Mother board USB and it considerably safe.
I've been using the NETDOT GEN 10 magnetic charging cables for the last half of a year. So far I have had no problems with it, and it is also reversible which is a plus.
I am using them on my headphones and watch too.
One thing to be aware of us that is that the plug that goes into the phone is not flush with the body and stands out about 1-2mm and leaves a bit of a gap.
