[Q] Google Play Edition - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I have tried to writ in some forums here, but it's not possible since I'm new to this.
I have a One m7, bought in may. It´s now on Hboot 1.57 and S-on. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP, wiped and installed the "Bigxie GPe" rom. I started to experiment a little at this point... I booted into the bootloader and flashed HTC recovery, then I relocked it and it all went like a charm. It was able to update from GPe 4.4.3 to 4.4.4 without any problems.
How is this possible when I can read everywhere that you have to be S-off and so on?

Hi, can you help me with unlock bootloader? How did you do it? I'm stuck with this. Can't see unlock screen. I have to same htc as you.

[Q] Stuck at HTC logo

Hey,
I couldn't find any help regarding this one:
I have unlocked my bootloader using the htcdev site (i am aware of the warranty issues).
So i've got this super sexy device, with unlocked bootloader, RUU 1.16.000, S-ON CWM recovery and root access.
I've tried to install the Revolution HD rom (3 times now) and after each time i got stuck at the HTC logo screen, not the one that says"quietly brilliant", but the one the says only "HTC". So luckily (again) i've done nandroid and used it to get my operator's ROM back.
So i've got 2 questions:
1) am i a failure ? what am i doing wrong?
2) is it possible to remove all the annoying operator's apps? and how? (fastboot/adb...)
3) What the heck is Goldcard?
Thanks a lot,

1) There is a sticky in this forum. Search it for your reference.
2) You cant remove the apps cause it is located in /system/app. You might wanna try deleting them using a file manager
3) As far as I know, for incredible s, its used for downgrading hboot 1.16/2.00 to 1.13 (there is a thread somewhere around this forum) so that it could be s-off'd using revolutionary.io
Hope this helps! ^^

If you dont want to downgrade and s-off your phone you need to manualy flash boot.img via fastboot after you flashed the rom.

HTC One Dev Edition Factory ROM?

Hi all,
I want to thank you for your help right off the bat!
I have an unlocked dev edition HTC One - I first tried to flash a recovery, tried to root and then add a rom.. i then figured out I didnt need to Root because when the bootloader is unlocked, you can just flash a rom and the Rom should have root in it. (At least I was told this)
I currently have a custom rom on here but How do I restore to factory settings with bootloader unlocked just like it was shipped to me? When i tried to restore through the RUU thingy, i had to relock the bootloader and then flash the stock image and this causes the dev edition not to really be a dev edition because it's locked once restored.
Is there something I can do or a step by step video? Thanks again

Hi,
I see this here but will this restore the recovery for the Dev Version of the HTC One? I am trying to make the device as if no one touched it sent from HTC with boot-loader unlocked, stock recovery, stock rom.. right now I have the updated rom 1.29... but the recovery is clockwork mod and the boot-loader says *Tampered* and the Unlocked.. when i boot up the One, the htc error is at the notification bar which says your device experience an odd recovery or something like that and you have the option to send HTC a report or not and it goes away.. im thinking this is because of the receovery not being stock.
I gave this device to someone who traded with me and im looking to help him restore it to factory settings. can someone help?

Hi All,
My One Dev edition shipped to me unfortunately while its bootloader is locked (!!!!_
I've sent HTC support team few email with the IMEI ans SN but was answered only that according there knowledge my device should be unlocked. When i asked for there support to unlock it, i was replied that i can unlock it by myself using HTCdev instruction but then i will have no warranty....
This was not the mean while decided to buy the dev edition...
Did any of you experienced such a situation? can you please advice?

Htc one help!

I need some help. I just bought a HTC one international factory unlocked 32gb version but it seems the previous owner had it bootloader unlocked, was running TWRP recovery, and a custom rom. Now I am completely new to this unlocking/relocking factory stock flashing stuff. I looked up online tutorials on how to do this but can't seem to figure it out. I have downloaded ADT-bundle files and re locked my bootloader. Now I am trying to use the developer edition RUU installshield wizard but the wizard keeps crashing! I tried both developer edition RUU's off the XDA RUU collection thread but both keep crashing. Since I am unable to run the RUU wizard I am now stuck in the fastboot menu on my phone. The status still says tampered on top. Underneath it says relocked and security warning. PLEASE HELP!
NEVERMIND. I figured it out!!!

[Q] Unlocking Bootloader on Verizon

I currently have an HTC One (m7) on Verizon with sense 6. I'm having some issues trying to unlock the bootloader so i can put CWM or TWRP on it. I have successfully done this in the past with my own HTC One (m7) (the issue is with my dads) but mine didn't have sense 6. I have tried using weaksauce just to get root, and supposedly sense 6 nullifies the exploit it uses. I have also tried using rumrunner (which is what I successfully used in the past with my own) to no avail. It finishes with the error: "looks like device is not rooted AND lacks an unsecure kernel."
So is there a way to do this as of now? Or am I stuck waiting on updates on utilities?

According to the post How to Unlock the Bootloader & Root Your HTC One Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat:
"Unfortunately, Big Red (Verizon) thought it best to remove the ability to unlock your bootloader through HTC Dev. Because of this added security measure, any One running KitKat cannot be unlocked or S-Off'd. If you are one of the lucky few to still be using JellyBean, than you are in luck, as long as you S-Off your device you can unlock your bootloader."

How to SIM Unlock HTC One M7 Sprint on Lollipop 5.0.2

Hello Guys,
I just lost my phone and a friend of mine gave me one that he is not using anymore because he did not know how to unlock it so he bought a new one. Now I have that phone and it happens to be an HTC One M7 from Sprint, it is running Android 5.0.2 with HTC Sense 6.0, Software 6.23.651.10. I booted in recovery mode and it says it is Relocked, S-Off, Hboot is 1.61. Also, there is one option that says simlock and if I click on it then it says SD init fail (within the recovery mode menu).
The phone is rooted, I managed to do it via Kingo App and I just need to get it working in another GSM network, I have been looking for information about this but all I have found is info for when we were back in Android 4.2.3 and tried to go with it but it does not work.
If anyone can please help me find a solution so I can unlock this phone I would really appreciate it.
