I've tried this app on my Milextone XT720, my friends' Xperia X10 and another Xperia X10 Mini.
all works smoothly.
(but failed on HTC Hero 2.1. It just failed to root but no bricking)

When I download the file all I get is a file that can't be opened. Nothing. Please help.

You need to put the file on your SD card, and install it from there using a file explorer or app installer.

when will official 4.1 android come out for middle east ??
my os version is the default 4.0.3 and I want to know when can I officially update it to 4.1

It should be out, but I think others have flashed the update manually

Mine is 4.0.3 too and when i try to update it says you are running the latest version of the OS!

but when I choose "software update" the message that "you are using the latest software version in current os" will be shown !!
so if the official update of the os has come out how can I update my p880 ???

you know I downloaded LG PC Suite IV but I can't connect my phone through this software to the PC I mean the Suite does not recognize the connected phone (via USB/Bluetooth) !!! and I would like to know that is there any newer version with an official downloadable link ??
and I think searching is the first thing comes to the mind as my 4 year-old cousin knows !!!!:victory:

Use Nokia Care Suite flash die phone

I had the same problem today after update v2.1
My Nokia X2 is stuck on the Nokia logo,, i tried every possible way to open it. but i failed..

update v2.1 can not install google apps. do you do install google apps?

Thank you very much. With the help of the recovery tutorial the mobile is alive again after being stuck at the nokia logo after updating to the new firmware. My mobile was rooted and play store was installed.

Hello, on my X2DS version 2.1.0.11, I install google services 6.1 not root for some apps.
Yesterday I did a factory reset on the phone. Everything came and gone as is a brand new except Google Service 6.1.
After the factory reset finished, the Google Services is still there and it even the first services to ask for logon account, before miscrosoft. What does this mean, I dont know why
I have use Software Recovery Tool, Retail Update etc etc

Cannot root P7-L00 with official EMUI 3.0

Hi,
I upgraded my P7-L00 to the official EMUI 3.0, and I cannot find a way to root it.
I tried with Vroot, Kingroot, RootGenius and Shuame but no one works.
I used with success TWRP with EMUI 2.3, but I found that with the new firmware TWRP does not work anymore.
May anyone suggests other procedures I may try?

Thanks majcomtech, after getting mad with chinese forums a couple of days I found a CWM version that seems compatible with EMUI 3.0. The only issue is that it has a... chinese interface
However it allowed me to root the P7. Here is the link to the thread, in chinese of course.

I used root genius on B607 rom today and it rooted fine. I then install super Su and remove king. Works a treat on my L00

Last official ROM is B606, which ROM are you using?

Got mine from the links on 4PDA Russian sites ascend p7 firmware page. There are three links for download.

Hi, I am on the B608 on my L00 and never rooted this phone before, so I didnt take advantage on some previous ROM versions that had the bootloader unlocked.
Now, on this one, i tried all Softwares (vroot, rootgenius etc) but none could make it.
Is it reverting to old versions the only way to unlock bootloader and root it?

Well i downloaded B607 today and tried root genius but always stuck on 14%.... so no root for me...how and what version of root genius did you use?
Now i downloaded the latest on my pc (RootGenius_2.1.4_setup) and now is going until 71%...after that it freezes and needs to shut down the program, with a mesage "RootGenius Has stopped working......."

I always check for latest English version and I think it is 1.8.7, have a look at rootgeniusDOTcom. I am now using b608 now after an ota firmware update this week. They have a guide to rooting on their website.

Ok...i just used this version too...nothing ....at 77% it stops with error...so...how did you do it??? i saw your post and tried that....now im on EMUI3 with no root...

As I said, I just install, root with root genius and then remove the king Su and replace with super su. I have always done this with my L00. I have been on 3.0 since first 3.0 rom, not sure if that it why or not, I have not had issues. Are you putting it in to debug mode eat as the instructions say?
If your still havering problems, just search for other with L00 versions on the Russian 4pda or Chinese forums and use google/bing translate for advice.

Ofcourse its on the debug mode...the problem is with root genius..to have king Su i must complete the install of root genius...something that stops at 77% in version 1.8.7..
So now i have to go back to 2.3 again with the downgrade trick...
