FYI, i own both a O4X and N4. Sold my GS3 to get my N4. And trust me, my Optimus 4X is way sexier. You won't call it sexy after all those fingerprints everywhere. I've had my fair collection of high end phones and have made plenty of contributions to all the forums i've been active in. And you can check my history as I have my thanks meter to back it up.

Ppl have diffrent tastes.. and thank god for that. Since you have a rly bad one i guess Fingerprints? RLY???... ow man. I get just as much fingerprints on my o4x as any other device.. this is bs ( and don't say "it has a glass as a backcover.." because fingerprints is all over my plastic backcover aswell.

Anyway.. im not here to mock ppl. I am for real, i can actually see how the phone is.. i can tell how the phone acts.. and for the amount of cash payed.. its a ok phone. But for it's hardware.. SO bad optimized.. I'm used to high end devices.. so i guess it's just me thats familiar with good quality products.
EDIT: allmost forgot to mention..! The sexy dot-led-notification thing.. really a +.

I had One x for 3 days (My friends phone i was using, while my SE Arc S was getting fixed)
I had the sIII for 2 weeks, but had to sell it.. i had some payment issues-.- for some idiotic reason.
I even had the SE Mini and Mini pro.. when that phone was new.
I had the new SE Mini Pro (tried it because i kinda liked the keyboard thingie when i had my old SE Mini Pro)
I had Iphone 4 16GB
I had HTC tattoo(cheap model)
I had SII x3
I had SE Arc S
I had HTC Titan (worst mistake ever.. windows phone was nice.. but after 1 week it locked up.. couldn't do anything.. i didn't do anything with the device at all)
I had ZTE Blade
I had Iphone 4S
I had Samsung Galaxy S (super or something)
This isn't even all ive had :/..
I didn't start using this forum for real, before i had my SII. I used it abit on my Desire, but the rest i didn't bother. Until i got SII.. so many posibilities, it was a fun experience

Yea that article is referring to a different phone, it doesn't even look remotely similar to our phone and we'll definitely be getting our 4.2 update

We'll see 4.3 and yeah it's a repost. They need a phone that has upgradable hardware. Just dreamin.

Regardless, the One S is completely deserving of a 4.2 update. HTC can't not update their devices like that. Again, Nemesis is coming soon, so hopefully the guys in the ville fora will be all right.

Another thing to mention is that this only applies to the S3 version of the One S, which is a small market. The normal S4 version has been confirmed by HTC to be receiving Sense 5.

What exactly is in 4.2 that makes the One S deserving of it? It has barely any improvements and the majority of the phone ones are aesthetic that sense already has. The major improvements from 4.1 to 4.2 are for tablets (multiuser support). Not sure why everyone thinks just because 4.2 is newer, it has to be better... This isn't 1.6 to 2.3 or 2.3 to 4.0... The only thing I am looking forward to in 4.2 is a new bluetooth stack, but I can wait for 4.3 if need be.
Now 4.1 to 4.3 is significant and if HTC told us we weren't getting 4.2.2 now but later we will get 4.3 I will be incredibly happy (stability fixes, native AVCRP 1.3 profiles (very important for bluetooth car headsets), OpenGL ES 3, New Media Codecs, ect.)

It's not about the number. It's about sending a message.
OK that didn't work.
It's a matter of principle. How can HTC abandon a year old device? It was their second most high end device when released. How would you feel if you got stuck at 4.2? The One S got bumped up from 4.0 to 4.1. Sense 5 is way better than 4, IMHO, although I only used the latter for about a week.
Surely the OS on the 1S isn't perfectly optimized yet? If it is, and the battery life/responsiveness is as good as it is going to get, the fine. No need of 4.2 update.

No matter what went down and no matter where your head is at at the moment, all I'll say is this: your work is awesome.
The bottom line is...what you have done for the gear...no one has done for the gear...and its not even close by a long shot. Which yeah, is really saying something because despite the occasional moron or 3, there are obviously some pretty damned amazing people here contributing to this community.
In my mind if this turns into nothing more than a donation thread for the remaining reslistically useful life span of the gear, be it 6 months or 66 months, then f0mey, you've earned it. Well anyway, here's mine:

I remember reading not too long ago that you were in between jobs, so let me suggest that one of the first things you do at that site is to make it easy to donate to you in support of your work.

F0mey stop having a tantrum, this site is the place to carry on with your Rom not a private site of your own, at least here there is no chance of dodgy software and no not referring to yours however its better to keep all roms on XDA because unscrupulous software writers could do so much damage with spyware and stealing passwords, if a writer did this here they are shutdown right away, on a private site they just keep pumping out dangerous software.
Not everyone is an expert and even myself when I first installed the Rom struggled with the instructions and setout, it can be something as simple as a misdirected direction in flashing for me now I have flashed 100s of times if not 1000s from my S1, S2, S3, S4 you need to take a leaf out of the other designers book on here and cut the sarcasm, if you dont want to respond let someone else do it for you, this site is about sharing ideas and developing software, and of course a bit of coin in the pocket for the developers who are any good.

Sadly it has happened before, with capable devs leaving xda and setting up their own websites.
It just takes a couple of really nasty people to upset the peace of mind of a dev. In Pauly's case an extremely talented mind. They in no way represent the majority of people on here.
I have now bookmarked his new site and will continue to follow him. If I was Samsung I would hire him immediately (take notice Samsung).
For those who caused this upset, and unrepentantly insist that they were right - shame on you, you have spoilt things for many xda followers.

Tantrum ? Psh, Im not expecting everyone to be experts.. Although I do expect them to read, especially if I spoon feed the information to them on the original post.
Its easy to stand on the side lines and say "whats the big deal, who cares if people ask for help".. you try reading through all those pages every morning just because someone is to lazy to read the original post of a thread. 60% of the pages in that thread were about bull**** "bugs" which were reported over & over & over again.. Eg. "bluetooth tethering doesnt work".
Whats the point of a development thread if there is no development talk going on ? You dont need to read it, the next guy doesnt either.. although its my job to, I have to verify theirs no bugs on the rom, I have to keep track of the thread.
I refuse to do it anymore, if people cant follow some simple requests I made.. why should I care ? I'm sorry others have to suffer, There are some great supporters & users out there.
It is what it is I will continue to develop, I will continue to support. At least this way I can manage the content.

Did not expect to see what I saw coming into xda today. does anyone have a copy of 5.6 they can share out?

don't count on it... when there is drama between users and mods the ban hammers come out quick and fast. links get popped quick.
It is really too bad, but this seems to be entirely self-inflicted and we are left high and dry until another Dev steps up.

I'm running 5.5 and it is fine with 1 or 2 minor issues and 5.6 was a consideration... However, I'm not certain that the dev will be working on this soon, he seems to have been trying to play a donation game.
Likely it was a momentary lapse in judgment, but not something that would be tolerated on XDA and rightly so.
Hopefully another dev can step up and produce as good a product as this, but it seems that KnoxRaid is over. Oh well... I just got a Galaxy Gear and I can play with that for a while.

Yeah, its to bad. Well FireNote is top notch IMO, its been great so far. We will just have to wait to see what takes center stage I suppose.
It is quite odd that he sold two Note 3s on swappa just awhile ago though.

I smelt his dirty games weeks ago when he was having an issue coming up with money for his broken LCD for his note 3.

Really? Thats interesting I just got my Note 3 recently so I haven't been around here terribly long but I mean some honesty would be appreciated on his part.

It's unfortunate because he certainly seemed like a talented and dedicated dev. Brought a lot of goodness to our Note 3. I also started becoming skeptical of his requests for donations and think he just got caught up in how easy it was for him to raise spare cash, sell a phone and get another. Once he got the M8, I think his attentions turned to that phone and he figured he'd ride the Note 3 wave as long as he could. I don't doubt that he probably would have continued dev'ing for our phone had he been sent a free Note 3...but I'm sure in time "something" would have happened to that phone as well. As I said though, very unfortunate for all of us Note 3 owners as he truly did devote a lot of his time to our phones. He's young and has a lot to learn still...hopefully this is a lesson in honesty and humility that he takes to heart.

Well stated, my thoughts exactly... Just disappointed now...

I have some of his files saved but not sure if it can be shared anymore, will have to look into that. The rom is sweet, but the things that happened behind the scenes was sour to the core.

very sad to see so many people talking s**t about the note 4.
It might not be a huge difference from note 3 but is definitely a big upgrade from my note 2.
I think everyone expect to have extreme changes in the devices every year and that is not possible anymore.
I think now the upgrade should be every 2 years.

Someone told me that if you get the TMO version it won't have a locked bootloader, and can be usedon ATT. I'm not sure if this is true, but considering going that route.

Verizon :/ I really am getting tired of it from them tbh. I buy the phone, why should they lock the bootloader. (Yes, I know there are reasons, but still) they are not leasing the phone to me, You buy the device and use it on their network.I am paying for a service. That's just how I look at it.

I sure understand that thought. But I also understand the carriers not wanting to warranty phones that we hose trying to mess with them.
It's probably too much effort to position themselves to offer an unlock code for the bootloader, which would cost 'loss of warranty'. If they don't have to warranty them, then why should they care?

probably because so many people lie when they call for warranty service, saying they dont know why their phone suddenly "stopped" working..
Now, what could be done, is to sell an unlocked phone/boot loader, NO WARRANTY AT ALL, and see how many folks buy that model...

The vulnerability of towelroot was patched on all kernels deployed after 6th June.
It has very less chances of working.
