Stock HDR on every phone is much less colorful then filters applyed after image processing.
It makes difference but not so big as filters from other apps.

Is it possible to do slow motion video on the Z1?? Would be nice...
Slow motion video isn't available on the z1, as far as I know I've never known a Sony android phone to have this feature but then again I might be wrong.

The chipset and camera module is capable of doing a lot but like you said it's what Sony decide to implement into their firmwares.

5K videos? 4K you meant maybe?
Tbh, Z1/XZU can do [email protected]
Maybe we could look forward to getting 4K support with 4.3?

The camera flash of the Z1 is somewhat disapointing. Is it posible to brighten it up some with a tweak or something or is it purely a hardware problem?
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It is no problem with the flash. That's how bright the led is.

I heard about some app to tweak the camera flash but really not to do that because you will damage the led. So my advice is to keep it in that way. Still just a phone anyway and on daylight you still make awesome pictures.

i know what you mean, i used led flash as torch for all my phone so it didnt take to long to realize this phone has micro led flash. its close to useless.
but it is what it is. u cant do anything about it.
For some reason whenever I try to take a video on the front camera I'm low light it stutters and lags. I have tried multiple camera apps. Has anyone else experienced this before?

I don't think so, but the lag in low light is pretty bad, maybe down to 12fps when it's really bad

the same problem here, but I noted using the Open Camera app I dont have that problem, but with the Moto Camera (original) and Google Camera app, it gets laggy.
