This my first post in XDA
After trying Android L, I was impressed by the style Material Design, this was what my theme is totally inspired Android L, I hope will be to your liking.Do not forget to Like. Thanks community.
Instructions:
1. Download whatsapp plus [Mod Edit: Links to Whatsapp+ are not allowed.]
2. Uninstall whatsapp.
3. Install whatsapp plus, don't open.
4. Inside the zip there is a xml file, copy to: /sdcard/whatsapp/PLUS/saved_pref
5.Once we follow the steps to finish creating your account whatsapp, whatsapp go to menu, Plus, issues, more, load saved items on the SD, and go to the folder mentioned in the previous step and load the file.

Just go to themes section in whatsapp+ (plus->themes)
Then select restore
Click on the material theme

You should only encourage you to do the test, I use android L, and I really like, because it fits perfectly with the style Material Design

Try this app named exDialer, one of the best hybrid phone dialers I've come across!
My theme is the best one I've encountered so far. Please try it on. It's worth trying!
The feature I liked most is the semi transparent notification scroll bar.
The menu, settings and others are also semi transparent, which means, you can see the wallpaper behind the menu or settings in a translucent form. Pretty cool!

Btw, I'm using Original 017-build-196. It does have some problems with font colour ->
Home Screen - Long Press - Shortcuts - ..and then all font colours change to white which is hard to read.

I presume you mean the Sony themes?
Follow this guide and change the color values in colors.xml and wallpapers to what you require.

yes, just replace the existing wallpapers already inside.
I recommend you install it as a system app.

Rename the theme as Topaz in the strings.xml and AndroidManifest.xml as described in my guide.
Post it in the themes section in here or in the general android theme section, but beware, it'll get swamped in that section.

I only bother with accent color. I think illumination is for Xperias with the illumination bar.

It installed. But I cannot see the theme anyway.
Also, the new version automatically signs System APKs. So I skipped these steps

I did. I selected the "compile as system app" option in the script
I guess Dully is talking about installing the theme as system app on phone.copy to sytem/app with root explorer and set permissions

Hello fellow XDA friends! I am an extreme fan of Roboto Condensed and ALWAYS keep a zip of the font to replace my entire system UI. So if you are anal about your phone having consistent fonts, being Roboto Condensed, this is the zip for you! As always MAKE A BACKUP before flash even though I of course have flashed this multiple times every time I flash a ROM and have never had any issues with it. I do not have a revert to stock zip so PLEASE, AGAIN, MAKE A BACKUP, JUST, IN, CASE! I hope you enjoy!
Credits to this who create flashable zip files for me to use as a template to use for each device I am using.

Yes it does. You have to flash in recovery.
It's been awhile since I root or have custom rom. I assume root device will not get factory update anymore, or does it? Want to keep the phone as vanilla as possible, but there's really some deficiency that only root app can fill.

Correct, no ota with normal root system changes. There is a systemless root, but I've not tried it...
I have updated the main post to be a bit more clear on needing ROOT and a custom recovery to flash this font for those who aren't as familiar! Enjoy

Any chance you could post a zip of the stock font? I liked my clock more before and stupidly didn't make a backup, and font changer apps don't change certain things including the clock for me.

So I grabbed all the default fonts from my /system/font & zipped them up.
I'm on the ASOiP ROM, so I'm not a 100% sure these are the same as Google's stock Android fonts, but you could give that a try if you want.
Is that a flashable zip? I couldn't get it to work.

You have not install the theme but you have to put it in HWThemes folder with a file explorer

The .hwt file needs to be copied to a folder called HWThemes. This can be in the root of your internal storage or SD Card. Once you copy the file in this folder the theme will become available in the Themes app.

Mine looks exactly the same. Those Google icons are the only ones that are messed up. The rest are OK. Most themes have this problem though, icons have a white border around them. At least this only has 3 [emoji2]

From the first link...
"EMUI8.X
Copy or move the downloaded theme file to the internal storage/Huawei/Themes folder, then open the theme program, click "My", swipe down to select this theme, and click Apply"
The recent apps on OP looks like it scrolls horizontally while my Mate 10 scrolls vertically. Any way to make it horizontal on Mate 10
