1.root
For rooting our group has found 3 methods....
1..by using master root
Its a simple apk file u can just install it and root ur device.... Like framaroot

Flash Cwm Recovery On Gionee M2
1.Download and place the image file into internal storage.
2. Rename the image file to "recovery.img". [Without quotes]
3.Install MTK MobileUncle Tool from Play Store .
4.Open MTK MobileUncle Tools
5.go to Recovery Updates option
6.Select the image file to install and let it be installed automatically.
It will reboot into recovery.
NOW
1.enter in Cwm recovery in Gionee M2
2.There will be a option Present In Your shutdown Menu
3.Or Alternatively you can Enter by Pressing Hardware Keys
4.Press Volume Keys UP and Power button simultaneously
4.Let go once you reach a screen that shows 3 options, here choose recovery, it will then boot directly to CWM

Thanks for you and your team-mates. You`ve done a great job. Recently I`ve updated M2 from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2. But could not root the same. Hope it will be possible now. But in your Root Instructions you`ve wrote that this method is only for 4 GB model. But mine is 8GB model. Now my question is What should I do ? Should I go for the Root Master option ? If this is only for 4 GB too , then please do something for 8GB also. Thank you once again.

Then some important app don't work like titanium backup...and one more things xposed framework don't work...But we r trying to find out that solution... Its better u use method one install root master and then... Root... After that update ur recovery with we provided... This is touch base recovery we also created non touch recovery... If u need that the tell... We will also provide.. That.. If any help needed most welcome...

Many , many thanks. I tried Root Master (2nd option). Follow your instructions. Install apk as a normal apk. But when I tried to root via Mulai Root. it tried for sometimes, but nothing happened. Generation some message in some language,which I could not read. After that when I checked with root checker apk, it says, No rooing access. What should I do ?
Bro use 1st app... If 2nd not work for you... First should definitely work.. Try that and answer... If that also not work we also find a new method... First u try method 1

Nope. Sorry Bro, this option has been also failed to root the same. After installing when I first try to run the app, in first screen it says " M2, and after that it says No Root Permission",and when I click on Root button, it says " failed, and try again". I`ve tried several times , but every time same thing happened. So, both apps are failed to to root the kitkat version. apart from these I`ve also tried Vroot, towelroot. All failed. I really don`t know why this kitkat version remains unrootable. When I was on 4.2.2, I got root access at first chance by Vroot. I`ve tried to root the same from last 3 days. Now it becomes boring to me. Please try to find other options, by which we can at least root this device. Best of luck. Thank you and your team once again for helping us a lot to try to root the device. Waiting for your response.
BTW , previously when I tried to root the same by Vroot, then also in first scrren it said something like that " no root permission", same thing happened with Rootgenious app. Actually as a novice in this field I cann`t understand the word, "permission", You guys please may think this. Any way I`m just sharing my thinking with you. Hope you don`t mind.

Bro, I`m not complaining at all. I just want to share with actually what happened when trying to root with these two apps. Please don`t misunderstand. I don`t have any doubt about either this method or these apps. But I really don`t understand what actually happening. I`ve tried several times with these apps, but if failed every time. I don`t want any prove. I totally believe on you. It would be more helpful if you please send me the steps of rooting. Perhaps I did some thing wrong. Bro, thank you. I`ve done (actually I should say "we`ve done). Thank you once again.
Now my device is rooted. Finally the Root Master has done it. Now root checker app is saying that this device is rooted successfully.
I missed the main criteria for rooting the same with this app. Every time I tried , tried it without Internet connection. That was the one and only reason for not rooting the same. I`ve read your instructions (with screen shots).There you`ve wrote that it needs Internet connection to root.
I follow the steps and finally can do it.

Guys we r back...Many of us find error in mtk droid tools, it was not able to detect gionee m2 u after Kitkat update... like, those who use mtk droid tools have find this after updating to m2
So guys our group has found solution for that...
Step=1
First thing u have to do remove all driver from ur Pc like pda, Google Android and all others related to Android
Now reboot ur Pc and Install planet driver
U can download that from here...

Or u can simply go pdanet.co
Then connect ur phone with Pc with debugging mode and pda net will install driver for ur phone
And then unplug ur phone and Install adb driver...

Now switch off ur phone then connect it... It install some files automatically...
Then restart while connected and now ur phone is detectable by mtk droid tools.. If not then make sure USB debugging is on... And again connect it this time u don't have to reboot...

Don't forget to subscribe and thank...
This is just starting we r coming with lots of mods and tricks...

i don`t use supersu. I will use the default app. The only problem with this app is language and nothing else.
BTW, please make some beautiful themes for our beloved device, when you and your team will get time.
And thanks for the driver solution. Really the Team rocks.
One more question. Should I uninstall the Root Master app, as the device is already rooted ?
Ya sure we will also do that but now there are few major issue yet to be solved with m2.. And yes u can freely Uninstall the root master app.....

I have been going thru the forum and tried to root the SGS, with the method in the below link:

BUT i have both SU and Busybox in my application list? Is my phone rooted ?
I do not want to upgrade to JB, need GB only. as the software that i have will work only on 4.0.x... i need help from the forum to guide me on how to gain complete root access on I9070 with BG as OS... I am very novice at all this - was able to root as there were screen shots in the link that i used for rooting my SGS I9070.
Would appreciate your help... pls pls

Download your stock firmware from www.sammobile.com/firmware or http://samsung-updates.com/tag/firmware/ and attach me kernel.bin.md5 from that file. I will repack it for step 10. You can post that on that thread for rooting, maybe someone else needs it. And it will be easier to find there, then here on this one.

Just that. After that you will repeat all from that guide for rooting. And by this method you increase binary counter. Triangle away can reset it now for our phone.

i have a ZIP file and it has 2 contents
1) I9070DDLK2_I9070ODDLJ1_HOME.tar.md5 - 700MB file
2) SS_DL.dll - 2.76 MB fiile
I tried to extract the I9070DDLK2_I9070ODDLJ1_HOME.tar.md5 and i get is the same file again I9070DDLK2_I9070ODDLJ1_HOME.tar.md5.
How do i get kernel.nib.md5 ?

i will follow the link that you gave me to root
will download GT-I9070-root.rar, will extract ODIN
will enable USB debugging and mock location on the phone
turn off the phone and put it on download mode
Under PIT file browse for GT-I9070_EUR_XX_8G_20111220_KL6.pit, you have extracted this file before.
Under PDA choos rootkernel.tar.md5
Then check what options are checked (Selected), be sure to UNCHECK (remove selction) Re-Partition, Flash Lock, Phone EFS Clear, Phone Bootloader Update! Only Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time should be checked (Selected)
When this is set just press Start and wait for phone to reboot

I think you even do not need to use pit file. Yes, that is it. And install Superuser, no SuperSU. I think we had problems with SuperSU, and Superuser worked fine.

I use SuperSU on JB now, but on GB I didn't have root access when I used it (didn't work at all). No need to change.

Need to uninstall first SuperSU.
Huh, thinking I use an wrong application , but from what I read, chainfire (SuperSU) update released more than chainsDD tuned, and that's why I asked more details about that.

Hi - i did follow the steps, and also flashed your kernel, but guess its its creating some issues? unable to download Superuser, WIFI is hanging upp and also unable to make calls... any help pls..

I know there are issues when you do not go back to stock kernel. You are sure you flashed this stock one I give you?

Yes - very much? I am resetting the device as of now... Was able to install the Superuser but wasnt working properly...
i restarted the phone - was able to do calls... so that is a breather... now as i told i am restoring factory settings... and it is at the Android screen where i touch it and start configurations.... now what next (((

So now everything works fine? Install app superuser from play store, open it and find in options update binary. You will have it I think when you go in left once.
hi i have the 4x hd rooted on 4.0.3 v10h i have been looking around the forums for hours but i cant seem to understand how to install cyanogenmod on my device and i dont want to brick it, i have never done this before so i wanted to know if someone could explain me how to do it or tell me where i could find a noob prof tutorial. i was looking at this thread on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2264616 but i dont understand the instructions.

To be able to install CM10.l1 u need to upgrade ur phone to jellybean via LG mobile support tool or LG PC suit , then u need to root it , unlock it and install CWM v 6.0.3.1 then flash CM10.1 zip file .
U can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2256392 it will root, and unlock ur phone with few clicks but don't forget to do all that after upgrading ur system cause ICS 4.0.3 has unlockable bootloader and u will end up briking ur phone.

well i successfully rooted the phone but now im trying to unlock the bootloader and i do what the tool says and the phone goes to the unlock bootloader mode it asks me to press yes or no with the volume keys but when i press yes some red letters appear that say "download mode !!!!" and it gets stuck in there i tried 2 times but is the same thing do you know what could be the problem? thanks

Few days ago i upgraded my firmware to 20a via wifi and then boom, now i only can root it but i can´t install any other custom firmware,cant install cwm or twrp recovery cant unlock bootloader,the wifi detects networks and just doesnt log in,no playstore.
I tried to downgrade firmware v10x via various softwares provided here and no results always the same.last time i tried to install custom recovery it gave me a an error saying lgp error permission denied in red and lost the original recovery,now im stuck with v20b which i installed today and of course same wifi problem no playstore,only a rooted phone which i can´t do anything with it,please give me a miracle cus i dont know what to do tried everything,the only thing i have now its a big headache...thanks in advance:crying:

before u upgrade to 20a u had adb drivers installed ? i dont know if u needed them with the older firmware because when i bought it it was already on 20a. My only issue and i couldnt unlock the bootloader was the drivers. after that just one click in the all in one tool , did the work.

everithing,i think the problem is my phone cus its a development phone ive been in other threads about development lg 4x but no success,some dont work others links are down
i dont think you can install things on the development phone, there was another person complaining about the same thing

well u r not doomed inside a developer forum. i believe as soon as someone see it , will help u.
for now try do what you can do since u have bugs , to help yourself have less bugs. root is fine. if google playstore doesnt work, then download latest gapps and extract them. manually install them in the system->app. go manually delete all dalvic-cache and cache of all apps. reboot and fixed. if u have other bug tell me maybe i have an idea to help to that too until u find a solution to the bootloader problem.

also there are replacement apps for the original 20b. maybe u cant unlock the easy way , maybe u cant install other rom, but definately u can modify the original rom the way u like it, manually. u can use alternative launcher, alternative task manager, alternative everything. modify the status bar. u can do magic if u have time to spend !!!

yeah i know but how i install gapps in adb since i only have instal update thru adb and i dont have the dalvik cache option,and yesterday my recovery became unrecoverable,it appears the LG logo and some red words saying "critical boot failure unrecoverable bootloader error" and know i cant eve go to the sw update option since it only appears that error...it sucks man,samsung never gave that much of problems i had a s3 mini and it was ultra custumized......but got mugged...and lucky me i found this phone in a fair with used produtcs...buyed,and later i saw it was a development phone and not a retail and never saw the man who sold me,it must be some kind of punishment hehe..

you didnt get what i said. u will do it manually. to have a button and do it all isnt manually -.-
i say again. fix your bugs manually ! u r rooted right ? u said that. then use a root explorer ! download latest gapps released at 21/08, open your root explorer, extract them. go to extracted ~system/app , copy / paste in your system / app the apks , navigate to data/dalvik-ache or cache/dalvik-cache delete all of those files. then go to cache or to your task manager and delete all app cache. reboot. thats it. this was fixed. the same way u can download mods or alternative apps, install them manually, delete the originals if u dont want them ( first disable them and test if the alternatives work ) , reboot. its easy. the system apps that need root access always go to system/app and the odex is created automatically after reboot.

i have a xperia z c6603 model.. i have unlocked bootloader. i was installin CWM from http://www.editandroid.com/how-to-install-custom-cwm-recovery-in-sony-xperia-z-unlocked-bootloaders/
and what happened is that i was doing it and i entered the command that was fastboot flash boot boot.img... as the tutorial says that we have done it i unplugged cable and checked the recovery was installed but now im stuck on the boot as its a neverending loop and device restarts itself but does not boot normally to android.. with pink LED to start recovery
i can access recover but when i tried a lot of time and it didnt boot normaly i accepted the REBOOT SYSTEM NOW option and it had another option to fix SUPERSU which means root
plz tell me what to do im a noob plz.. the device cant even turn off other wise i wouldve use PC companion to restore phone and kindly tell me would i have root after clicking on FIX superSU which means ROOT....plzzz tell me what to do.. i know how to install custom ROm but dont know about flashing kenals or Flashtool thing plz plz tell me waht to
As you followed a guide that just ripped DooMLoRD's work from XDA, you most probably flashed the wrong kernel for your firmware, which is the cause of your problem.
Get the correct kernel from here, which is the source of the guide and files that website is using.

i also have a backup of stock rom in my sd card...i did that backup right after this incident hapened to me...should i try restoring backup?
my phone can go in the fastboot mode

Hi ive had my xperia z1 C6903 for over a year now ive considered rooting a while ago but i did go through with it in the end. But now ive upgraded to lollipop 5.0.2 and by battery is still quite bad and i fid my phone slightly more laggy so i want to root it.
Ive installed stuff on computers and game consoles a few times but im still a novice, ive looked around online but the guides i find are either for older versions or they don't explain in detail what steps to do.
So im hoping someone can explain to me in detail how to root my z1 C6903 (build number - 14.5.A.0.242) running lollipop 5.0.2
I assume that ur already in lollipop,
So if you want to have root, u can download this thing called dual recovery.
This doesnt just give root but also recovery.

Open the link > xzdualrecovery > the latest version > find xperiaz1blablablaINSTALLER
Download it and extract it somewhere in ur computer.
Run the setup file, and follow the instructions.
And before u connect ur device to ur computer, turn un the usb-debugging.
Btw, ur phone shud stay turned on when u connect it to ur computer.

Why don't you try it?
Try Framaroot as well, its a super easy app.

this one needs another recovery to install xzdualrecovery. no possible way to get it if you are on locked bl lollipop which is unrooted.
