WM6 ROM: Anybody having the "roaming" issue?

Hello all,
I have the WM6 rom and I seem to be having this annoying little problem where the phone tells me that I'm roaming even though I'm in an area where I know from past experience I shouldn't be roaming
In fact, I can receive calls just fine with no warning messages telling me that I'm roaming or whatever.
This ONLY occurs when I'm using activesync for push e-mail with mail2web.
Why is this happening?
Also when I'm setting up the push e-mail I can't seem to enter "ad2" for mail2web... the field is dimmed and I can't type anything on it.
I don't recall having this issue when I was using the WM5... what gives?
I know thta I can set it up so that I won't have warnings but I'm worried because what if I am indeed roaming?
Then I would surely be charged for my uses.
Could this possibly be because I'm on the US T-Mobile network and this ROM in no way has anything to do with US T-Mobile?
Is anyone else having this issue?

It is because you have a rom that is not carrier specfic it reads roams all the time on any network

I seriously doubt that...
Sounds like just another weird issue with this PRERELEASE crossbow rom

Uhhh... Are you quite sure of your facts there Sandrobber? If so, then that must be new to WM6, as I have a non carrier specific WM5 ROM and I don't get that problem....

Well I would bet that he was just speculating since he posed on the form of a question.

It was there in WM5 long time ago, which is no bug at all. If you don't like the roaming prompt, just go to activesync->schedularing->check "using it during roam", all set.

Are you sure?
I don't recall setting that to "use this setting when roaming" on WM5.
Also, doesn't this mean my phone would check e-mails when I'm not on t-mobile network, costing me a fortune?

I don't think your carrier will charge your roaming fee. Which network are you in?

No roaming despite using push e-mail with the "use this when roaming" box checked?
If that's a yes, sounds great.

I am very sure infact I'm positive you can turn off the roaming indicator. If you dare go through the registry and find the settings for your carrier and apply it to this rom. Most of us(like me just turn it off beause I have unlimited raoming). I have experienced this first hand with I-Mates frimware on many of my phones. None the less here is where the key is to turn it off
Change the dword value from 0 to 1
HKLM\drivers\builtin\ril\"DisableRoamingIndicator" = dword:00000001

Can I Change My Orange Diamond to 3 Network?

Hi
I have a HTC Diamond and want to unlock it to use on 3 network.
I know unlocking works with T-Mobile, O2 & other SIMs but does it work on 3 network & still give me full web access, email, etc?
I what to change to 3 network as the Orange 3G in my area (Redcar, UK) is useless even thought their coverage map said very good (before I bought).
I've spoke to Orange's customer services & they told me that 3G is 'Limited' in my area but I know my brother has 3 network and gets 3.5G in this area.
Anyway enough of me moaning about Orange can anyone help with the query?

Yes you can mate, I'm doing exactly the sane thing I bought an unlocked orange Diamond and stuck my three SIM in. No problems!!

i spend many hours in order to find a way to make my Kaiser work, but i didn't find a solution .
My phone is always looking for a network, and finally he connect to nothing...
My Kaiser is Sim unlock... and my Sim work with SFR network.
Please help me!!
Because i start to be crazy about those hollow networks.

No, my brother gave it to me.
When i try any Sim, the phone can't find the GSM Network SFR.
I can scan the GSM Networks, the phone find SFR, but he can't log in .

Does it do the same with a SIM from another operator and the related network?
That's what mine was doing when my radio broke, I could scan for networks but not connect to any. The phone was getting hot during operation as well. Only way is sending back to HTC, they replaced the whole mainboard.
How old is it? zhe problem was frequent on early units. Bad news is that if it's old it's most likely not under warranty anymore by now...

[Q] 4G is not working, no signal on boot

hi all expert,
i flashed few roms, and i dont know why the 4G netowk is not working anymore. Signal lost on every boot,
i have to switch flight mode on/off to get the signal back . i thought this ROM problem so i flashed other rom but no luck.
even i nanodriod to my first stock rom. any idea ? is there any hidden partition that i should wipe it out ?
P.S my region RUU is not available
please help

Try this go to settings mobile data press it then press your network provider then search network don't choose your one then it will say something like not possible then search again and choose your one that will reset your provider that worked for me

Yes. i am 100% sure i am using the GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto mode. but it just not work...very strange....

Ok one more thing to try pull the sim out and put it back in
If not phone your network provider and make sure there's not a problem with there end

No wifi btw , this is not silly question , at least you save my phone just curious why 4G is not work,
it always show H or 3G and i went to retail store, my SIM card is work on other 4G devices.

Ok phone your network provider and get them to send you the settings to your phone if that doesn't work take it back to the shop and get a new one lol

it depends on what you consider 4g? are you talking about LTE or are you talking about HSDPA/HSPAP? if its LTE it should show up as LTE, but depending on where your located and which HTC one you bought you might not have the bands. if your company has HSDPA the H that shows is normal. H for our phones(atleast on the international version) is a combo of HSDPA and HSPAP which in tmobile USA's eyes is 4g and 4g+. even though technically its 3.5g and 3.5g+. so need a bit more info on your end to get an idea of what SHOULD be happening.
phone model? international? ATT? tmobile? heck sprint?
provider?
maybe country? it seems like your in another country i think?
and if your in the USA then maybe city you live in? cause LTE on tmobile has only rolled out in like 10 cities though ATT has better signal

i live in Hong Kong and LTE support 1800/2600 band, i dont remember the exactly timeline , i just remember when i flashed ARHD , the 4G is still working
but bad reception, so i flashed another few rom until i notice my phone can not get the signal at boot. Thankfully, jaythenut tech me a method to solve the signal problem, but it cannot get the LTE now....very very strange

Choose the first option in the list that comes up, and see what "preferred network" is set to. If it doesn't say something about "LTE" theres something wrong.

deafult is GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto, and network type is HSDPA
when i tried to set LTE only, it swap back to the default value immediately ,if i set to CDMA,LTE , it become "H" and show HSPAP and UTMS.

I think there's a problem with your rom maybe had a bad flash just try to reinstall and full wipe it might work

[Q] Help...10.4.B.0.569 (Swiss) will not connect to 4g

Hello guys im pretty new to this fourm so if theres any rules i violated in this post please excuse me.
My problem occured when i flashed my sony Xperia z T-Mobile branded phone. It had 4.2.2 t-mobile firmware on it so i flashed to 10.4.B.0.569 (swiss) ch ftf and everything was running fine until i noticed that it wasn't connecting to 4g...Only 3g but on the t-mobile firmware it connects to 4g just fine (i reflashed it just to make sure) andi reflashed back to 10.4.B.0.569 and it still said 3g i tryed *#*#4636#*#* and messed with the newwork settings a bit like some other treads recommended and none of then changed it to 4g i even changed the APN because it was set to egc.Tmobile.com (which is 3g service and below) so i set it to fast.tmobile.com (the 4g/lte service) i changed it to everything the tmobile firmware apn said and it still didnt go to 4g it just says at 3g i rebooted my phone and still...no luck it just says 3g. Please i need help to get my 4g back i really like the UI in 4.3

try flashing the t-mobile basebands. might work. i just bought c6603 z (Australian Telstra version) and it wouldnt connet to lte in canada. so i took the basebands from rogers' xperia ZL and flashed them on my z and voila i got the LTE working.

Yea i tried that but i'm still getting 3G like i would get 4G with the T-mobile firmware...Could my phone be reading the 4g connection as 3G?

I am not sure. I flashed the 4.3 (generic firmware) on my xperia z too. it was originally on 4.2.2 and didnt have the 4.3 update ready yet from Telstra (Australia). I didn't have the LTE so I flashed basebands from Xperia ZL from Rogers and i got the LTE. I tried flashing the Bell xperia Z basebands that didnt work at all. so I dont know. sorry

Here are the APN's that I use, and everything works as it should - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236735. I've never flashed anything other then what the ROM(s) instructions say - and as always it's best to start clean. Enter as it appears on that thread, select it, and reboot. Not trying to state the obvious or insult you, but also make sure you select "LTE (preferred)/WCDMA/GSM" for network mode in settings.
What I've learned browsing other threads about 4G (or HSPA+) is that it only kicks on when there is data to transfer, so if you are not uploading/downloading then it will most likely show as 3G or maybe nothing at all in you status bar, but should change once you launch an app/service that uses data. It will remain 3G if only using voice.
I will try and confirm this, but where I live it switches to LTE rather quickly. I have noticed a time or two where my friends 4G only phone has it and mine does as well. Noticed yesterday where H+ kicked in when loading a podcast, and when it was done the H+ disappeared.

H+ showed up when i was downloading/Using internet. and 3g popped up when i wasn't doing anything internet wise. so what your saying is that H+ IS my 4G?

Okay thanks for the help. oh another thing...Currently im on the 4.2.2 t-mobile firmware and i have 4g right now but when i went to search for networks it says im connected to t-mobile 3g network?

Are you talking about under Mobile Networks » Service Providers? This is what I see, and it actually had the 2G one selected, this is the first time I've actually ever opened that option.

Yea but i guess its not a big deal....But do you know why the camera quality is kinda ****ty on 4.3? I heard it was just a bug but if there some fix i would like to know

Camera quality for me is just fine. I've taken a lot of pictures since switching to 4.3, and they all look fine to me with the exception of those in low light, but that's pretty much any phone.

Hmm im reflashing 4.3 ill check it out in a bright area
