Yesterday Chromecast caaame up with update screen, counts up to 100%, reboots and starts again. Tried plugging it into the wall, factory reset from button and app, changed HDMI ports, but no success. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
What exactly is the problem that you are having?
I get a screen that says chromecast is downloading an update but once finished downloading, the chromecast will restart and download the update again
the screen:

I have a vague recollection that one of my CCasts on a very earlier firmware 12xxx or 13xxx updated *twice* before reaching the current version...
the fact is that they are two weeks that are in this situation.
My current firmware is 17250
there is a way to update manually?
I'm sure there were a few times where you had to update to one version in order to get the second update...
Most likely to happen to those who have not had their unit plugged in for a long time and missed a few updates during that time or those with NIB units that are already a few versions behind out of the box.
oK
but two weeks is downloading updates

I'm pretty sure I've had this and just went through with flashing anyway. Maybe I'm mistaken and if you don't want to risk it, wait for more opinions.
What's happening when you choose a *.sbf for flashing?
Zatapatalkowane z MotoStone'a
i tried flashing anyway but still the device doesn't pass the white m symbol

do you have a different pc to try it on? rsdlite works on my laptopn while it doesnt really work on my moms for some reason. id try it on a different pc first. next i'd like to know what sbf file your trying to flash. it could be corrupt or something, try a test with another sbf file like from peter alfonsos site and see if it works.
***wow, apparently i have to wait 5 whole minutes before posting becuase im apparently a "new" user whos been here since may of 2010... i guess i should crank out more posts heh? (looks at watch, seems to be January 2 of 2012 )
You won't be able to initiate the flash process until the phone boots directly into bootloader mode, which involves a mostly black screen with small white text. Keep trying while holding down the proper buttons and you should be able to get there.

This. I believe it was for devices in India and maybe one or two other places. It was just a small fix for them. Nothing more.

I had the same issue but with a different upgrade version and I found the solution online in another forum. What I did was I downloaded an older version of Android Wear from APKMirror and that fixed it after uninstalling my current version and reinstalling the older version. I specifically used version 1.1.1.2113877. Then I factory reset the watch and proceeded as normal with the setup process but with the older version of Wear. After you finish updating and making sure that everything is working, update the Wear app to the latest edition.
Hello everyone. I'm sure many people are having problems with their Note8s specially after receiving updates. Mine also did broke at some point where I lost the track. What I have done to try to fix it so far is;

I think the phone is in Egypt variant since it says carrier ID is Egypt?
For the Recovery mode I had these;
So as you see, I tried many things to fix this without sending it to SC since I live in North Cyprus. I'm pretty sure that it is not hardware related but more likely a software stuff. Any ideas to fix this? Thanks.
Btw, I am not sure if the images are visible or not, can someone leave me a feedback please?

No one has any idea about how to fix this instead of sending phone to Samsung Care? Like draining the battery completely etc? Or possible software conflicts? Since I have updated to bootlader 6, I cannot go back to 5 either.
Hi,
I just got a new Chromecast Ultra wand wanted know whether there is anything I need to take care off before I connect it to the Internet and le tit update itself to the latest firmware.
Are there any root or jailbreak methods for the Ultra that require an older firmware or is it safe to let the chromecast update itself to the latest firmware?

Hey, i also got my bundle, sadly i couldnt find anything about it only some open source stuff.
One thing that i've noticed though is, when you hold press on the button on the side for 10 seconds or so, it will show up on Windows as an device for 2 or 3 seconds. Here is a screenshot from it:

Maybe someone can figure out how to access the device with this, maybe there is somewhere a driver to access it via something.
PS: Do not update it, maybe they fixed something in the later versions.
EDIT: There is actually a driver for it: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/pinctrl/berlin/berlin-bg2cd.c
And what can we do with this driver?

Probably flash or access stuff if it isn't locked. Don't have something right now that is setuped to try it with linux.
